Stocking all your office, school and work needs, the Marion branch is just as big as the others with a more extensive electronics department. Printers, paper, pens, scrapbooks, Minties...you name it and Officeworks will have it. Staff in store can be sparsely populated but are generally quite knowledgeable and if they aren't too sure will find someone who can help. The store also runs workshops on the weekend catering to small business owners. Prices are quite cheap and parking is a breeze.

They now have an aisle of upmarket fancy desk accessories, probably to rival Kikki K and to some extent Smiggle (in the fact that they are colour coded) - very nice! I will definitely have to come here again ;) On the right hand side of the store is all the electrical and office equipment - this seems easy to negotiate, and again there were plenty of staff here to help out customers. The products have a 'homogenised' feel ... nothing stands out, everything is in the same colour tones, nothing is too bright or too brilliant. But what I do like about this place is that they stock local artists and designers. The only issue is they are the *same* artists and designers that can be found at Bowerbird Bazaar, That Dapper Market, and various other shops and cafes around Adelaide. Saying that, it is great to have a gift store to grab that little something that can't be found in a department store and know that you are supporting Adelaide businesses. What more could you want? It's a pretty small store at Arndale. It is set up rather nice though, yet it still feels like you're walking into the Reject Shop or Cheap as Chips. Not that that's a bad thing by all means! Homeart is the place to go to when you know you don't have a lot of money to spend but you know you need to pick up a few things either way.

As with every other kikki.K store, this is beautifully set out in order to make you want to buy every single item in the store ... it's a challenge (for me) keeping in control ;) They have literally thought of everything - menu planners, gorgeous pens, stylish staplers, photo albums, notebooks, dream diaries ... in fact, everything you can possibly think of to note down and inspire you (except perhaps many BLANK notebooks ... they prefer to give you suggestions on every page!). Everything is fairly pricey, but very well made and aesthetically pleasing ;) As with every kikki.K store I have visited, the staff are very friendly and helpful without being overbearing - they must have very good customer service training here!

Last time I went in to get Harper's (with the winner of ANTM on the cover) for a friend overseas, I ended up chatting to the guy about Australia's Next Top Model for ages...which I don't actually watch, but I winged it pretty well! Or maybe it's just really good marketing, people come out of food shopping with the kids and think "man, after that I reallllly need a beer" so they decide to take a short cut through the newsagency and along the way they decide "man, I really need a pen too". You never know. There are books available here too, last time I visited I spent a good 10 minutes leafing through a book about the life and designs of Coco Chanel, of course I didn't buy it because it was $50, besides, I'd already read it hadn't I? If I need a pen I just go in and use one and then leave, they should really monitor people like me! But, considering these guys don't, that makes them 3 stars in my book! There are little gifty things available too, take a squiz on your way through to the bottle shop.
