I was recommended to go to Gerard Lee Motors by my brother who has had his cars serviced by them for years & I have to say I was very impressed by the efficiency, from initially seeking a quote over the phone for specific repair work to be done, to the call back response (with quote which was competitive as I tried 3 other garages) within 15 minutes to getting the car in & repaired within 3 days and on the day to get a call in the afternoon to say it was ready at the time I was promised when I dropped it off that morning at 8.30am. I rang him yesterday and explained that I thought I needed new brake pads and by 12pm today they were fitted and ready to go. No nonsense, no inhalation of breath and rubbing of the chin whilst being told of the multitude of other bits wrong that will cost so many thousands. This is my second time dealing with Sweeneys Garage on Bridgefoot st. Their treatment of me is exceptional. Ash assessed my problem , and offered to drop me home while the car was repaired. This in itself was incredibly kind. Before he did so he tried something , and fixed it completely , within minutes....and get this, no charge! I actually cried. It is hard moving through this world with a disability, but kindness like this is rare and valuable. I will be recommending Sweeneys garage to all. I finally have a garage I can trust! Had to get tracking done and asked if they could identify what the knocking noise could be on my…read morecar which was to do with the front suspension, they have checked and noticed a part which was on its way out that another mechanic didn't identify. Got booked in a week later, on the day after changing the parts the noise has indeed reduced! But there was something else causing the clunking noise.. they gladly invited me to come back around a few hours later after i called in. We did a test drive with one of the mechanics who was very helpful; he has lifted up the car again and checked through again and has found that the previous mechanic didn't tighten the droplinks correctly. He has tightened them correctly and long behold the noise was completely gone! No extra charge and a lot of peace of mind!! Would recommend!
