I love their seasonal fresh orange juice but it is a little pricey. The space itself is super cute and nicely decorated with plenty of seating, so it's a great place to sit and actually enjoy your food. You should definitely try it before you buy one (they do sell single slices) because not everybody likes it-- kind of a wet, spongy cake that is rich and sweet but very different from the dry, fluffy American style cakes that we are used to. They always look incredible with the ripe glazed fruit on top and are delicious to eat. I also really like this location because you can see the bakers at work. Once I saw the owner frosting a wedding cake and once I saw him decorating a few tres leches cakes at one time. Ordering is done on the kiosk so easy to pay with debit or credit card. The drinks came out pretty quickly. A few other people were there at the same time we were but not crowded at all. They have a frequent user card but you have to add toppings to get a stamp. I don't add toppings as much as I used to due to price & not wanting extra sugar. We loved the pink aesthetic, which is what Bober is known for. The 2 main cons for me are: 1) they charge extra for less ice. WHY?? Ice is just frozen water so how does less ice adversely affect the business? 2) they don't have non-meat options for their banh mis or egg drops. Instead of planning a specific visit, the wiser approach would be to give them a look if you're in the area during one of the 12 hours they are open in a given week, and see if you're interested in what they aren't sold out of. They have an indoor counter which you get to via the main entrance on 4th street, and guessing your way through the halls until you find them past that gallery. There is also a seating section which has the ambience of a break room at a DMV.
