I know Vinod through a former work colleague and was impressed with his work, so I decided to hire…read morehim as my wedding photographer which turned out to be the WORST decision I made. He offered us a discount but his quote was higher than what I had budgeted. I thought I would be receiving good quality work, so I made an exception. I would have been better off hiring anyone else. His customer service is absolutely terrible, his excuses are numerous, and his deadlines and commitments are never kept. The very first warning sign was him cancelling our engagement shoot, a few hours before it was scheduled. Getting the engagement photos from him was an ORDEAL. He missed his "4 to 6 week" delivery promise and ignored texts, calls and emails. When I finally received them, some of the photos were blurry, washed out and did not meet our expectations. His work was mediocre and definitely did not justify his cost. After asking him to fix the engagement photos, he went on radio silence for another month. Several persistent text messages later, I got them a few days before my wedding! He once again promised to hand over the wedding photos in "4 to 6 weeks", which by then, I knew not to believe. The same process of calls, reminders, and voice mails resumed. Once I finally saw the product, I was utterly disappointed. They were washed out, over-processed and over-sharpened. Here's the worst part: he did not capture our first kiss!! Even an amateur photographer would know that it is one of the most important moments in the ceremony and I have NO professional documentation of that moment. I was fortunately able to get the unprocessed raw files from him, since we decided to process them ourselves. He very 'generously' offered to print us a photo to make up for not capturing our first kiss, but I cannot be bothered to deal with him anymore. I would not recommend him to ANYONE. He was an absolute waste of money and caused me an unnecessary amount of stress.

I HATE taking pictures, so it was important to me to find a photographer who could guide us on angles, how to pose, etc. Laning Photography went above and beyond what I could have imagined!! First off, Hannah is such a warm and kind soul. She truly listened to me and what I was envisioning and made sure it happened. I could not believe how responsive she was via email, even during the craziest wedding season yet with COVID postponed weddings. She even gave me advice on what to wear for our engagement photo session! And not only that, she gave me the coat off of her back... LITERALLY. We changed outfits for a downtown Dallas shoot, and it was extremely windy. She took off her peacoat and told me to wear it and the pictures looked EPIC! They ended up being our favorite pictures! That's how much she cares. And Nick is such a fun, creative person. He had us laughing the entire time. His creativity and really cool ideas gave our albums the mood and vibe we were looking for. For people who don't feel like we are photogenic, he made us look like we knew exactly how to pose, smile, etc.! He really captured a lot of candid, intimate moments between me and my fiance too, and these pictures are something we will cherish for a lifetime. If you are looking for 2 photographers who will keep you from worrying about a single thing while making you look incredible, these two are it! They seriously set THE standard for the album of your dreams. UPDATE: we had our wedding and these two were PERFECT once again! They made us feel so comfortable and helped us get pictures that I will cherish for a lifetime. When I saw our sneak peak, I started crying. I really struggle with body image issues and having my picture taken. I felt so beautiful and felt like they captured all of the emotions we were feeling that day! They seriously helped make my wedding pictures look like they came out of a magazine. They were some of the kindest and warmest souls we have ever met, and Nick had us laughing the entire day!!
