Reading done in 2016 (1 hr) REPORT of Accuracy in 2019 I want to report on the details of what was right and not right in Kim's reading without too many personal details. I am not a noob to the psychic arts as I've studied them all my life and am an educated consumer in this regard. Basically though, Kim was right in ESSENCE - she predicted my partner would LEAVE me and a new awesome man would come and build me a house - but what happened was that my partner GREW into the man and father she described (after a break up and a reconciliation) and so did OUR relationship begin to blossom into what she said I would've gotten with the NEW man. We bought a house that he totally RENOVATED himself but didn't build. She also specified things he needed for his healing and once those things came to be is when life REALLY changed for us, then this life she predicted started to come full circle. So what she was seeing was a death of the old relationship and birthing of the new one and the developed relationship that came to be and the concept of a new home together and his construction ability. Rather than a literal new man. The details were all off, like don't move the washer/dryer they'll get damaged and they were FINE in the move; that we'd have a huge mudroom in the new house and an awesome view and we have neither. Life isn't over and who knows, that house she saw could still be. It's certainly on my bucket list of things to own. But the ESSENCE of endings and recreations WAS accurate in regards to timing - we separated around the time she said he would leave me BUT a NEW man didn't come - what happened was MY man came back to me a "new" person and began to GROW into the man she described would love me. The beginning of her reading was the most spot-on until she felt my pain-of-the-moment and went off on another tangent which wasn't as in tune with her initial start. I think if I had been in a less painful place at the time she would have gone with her initial intuitive pull and it would have been more spot on. She also said I would be seeing clients from my home virtually, do quite well for myself doing that and I'd be writing a channeled book. That HAS mostly come to pass as I now have an on line coaching business and the book is coming. Channeled? Not so sure in the way she meant it but the book is still on it's way to me so we'll see. I'll come back in future years for an update if I end up with the home she described. Overall though, I had read a couple of Kim's books and I believe she does have talent. But she spent a LOT of time on inconsequential details (like the style of my home and washing machines) leaving me with no opportunity to ASK questions that were most important to me by the time I had a chance to talk. This left me feeling a little frustrated as I didn't need to know the style of my home and had larger life questions. Some psychics don't allow you to ask any questions as it taints their reading with intention so I wasn't surprised she didn't give me much chance to ask questions. They get what they get in their vision and don't like to be thrown off as it screws with their accuracy. What I recommend from anyone getting a reading from Kim is to take the essence of her reading and not the literal details to heart and go about your life in your own way and see what happens. I think some people are easier to tune into than others and she might have a tendency to go with her imagination rather than ACTUALLY reading for a person if she loses her link - and that she needs to work on this differentiation with a psychic mentor more skilled than herself to hone her gift and NOT push herself to read when it's really not coming to her, rather than improvising to please the customer with a story. As in the review here on Yelp that Kim was super off about the person having kids and their career and stuff and the person felt cheated. That doesn't mean she is a phony, it means not everyone is easy or open to being read and a highly trained ethical psychic will FEEL when they're no longer tapping in, or having an off day, and either reschedule or refund the money paid. Kim was VERY accurate about a couple of things that I even argued about that came to pass, like specifically what my man needed healing on. Kim HAS ability and my sense is it needs maturing and no matter her years as a teacher and reader, we ALL need our own mentors no matter how far along we are - so she can continue to fine tune her well intentioned ethics around her desire to deliver - her heart is in the right place, this I don't doubt. I am not saying Kim is "unethical" but ethics are subjective and need constant attention. Respectfully, Kim would do well to do some inner work around being OK with not knowing or not tuning in sometimes and accept she might need to disappoint some customers and know that she's STILL enough. I also have had a few readings with Kim when I was feeling less confident and though she left me with grand suggestions of what might be, most of what she said did not materialize. I've had the great fortune of having readings with Kim over the past 5 years and I am always excited for the next one. Kim O'Neil has been the best psychic I have known. I am very much appreciative for her accuracy, insights, and how she puts me at ease. Her compassion and goodness exudes from her. I have been reading Kim O'Neill's magazine columns for many years. I had always been curious about her and her work, and finally decided it was time! I was delighted with my experience, and here is why: 1. This was my first time to have a channeled reading and I wasn't sure what to expect. I had a very good good experience with an hour-long reading. One dramatic and totally unbelievable thing that Kim warned me would happen, happened twenty minutes after the reading. Three parties I asked about because I wasn't sure where I stood with them contacted me over the next days, clarifying things. I had a one hour session with Kim in 2009, so it has been long enough to judge her predictions. None came close to being true. After checking with others who have had sessions here's her formula: you will be a writer (occasionally an artist). Single people will meet the love of their life with a heart mind soul connection. And she throws in a couple of past lives whether you ask for it or not. No one I know has had anything come true. In my case one of my past lives was a nun who died in the Galveston hurricane early in the 20th century. Living in Toldeo, Ohio at the time I had never heard of the storm and was impressed. I have just move to Houston, TX (which Kim said would NEVER happen). I checked on the flood information and everyone studies it in grade school. Since Kim is from Texas I assume she learned about it too. I went to the website honoring the victims and there was the story of the nun - supposedly my story. It appeared Kim had read it off word for word. I am crushed. Bottom line - she may have the skills, but marketing is her strong suit. She seems to have a formula down to pat. If she believes in spirit at all she must realize she will have a karmic debt to pay for all the people she is ripping off. I had another reading with Kim and I'll have to revise my opinion. I had a reading with her a year and a half ago. Some of what she said was spot on, some sounded like good advice. However, some was not. And she was specific about future happenings and dates, none of which have happened. I believe that she uses her imagination to fill in the gaps. She seems to recommend a vegan diet to everyone (per Google she;s a vegan). I don't want health advice for her, but she always gives it. I had hoped she would back up her earlier reading, but instead she went off and came up with a whole new career path and new and different health issues. The way she does her readings seems potentially harmful (for me she recommended immediate surgery and a diet that almost ruined my health before.) You really have to sort out what is true and what is not. I was kind of surprised to see that my last review of her was "not recommended" and not included in the ratings. I thought it was balanced and fact-based, if a bit naive. It was the only positive one. I'll have to make sure I look at the not recommended ratings whenever I use Yelp from now on. I want to start by saying that a reading by anyone is not an exact science that is set in stone. We have free will to change our lives. I came across Kim by accident. Let me begin by saying I chose to have an hour session with Kim without researching her much. Bad move. Here is my story: I got on her email list and got a "whoo hoo" sessions available now email - so I called to make an appointment. The man who returned my call made out like he was doing me a favor and would book me in a year or two. I finally got the appointment and eagerly awaited the day with loads of questions. The call started promptly with Kim crisply asking me several questions about myself. That should have set an alarm off. She actually took only a few questions from me and mostly talked herself in a businesslike tone. I was supposed to be a writer and would be living in a cold climate by a lake where I would swim naked. I knew this would never happen as I do not swim and am not getting in any polluted lake, naked or otherwise. I also do not like cold weather. I pointed the weather issue out to her and she stumbled around saying I would melt in hot weather. She also volunteered with a past life I did not request and was unable to speak with my dead Mother that I really wanted to reach. She said there was a whole roomful of dead folks wanting to speak with me and proceeded to rattle off names of folks I had never heard of. She also said I had 42 spirit guides and spouted off names like crazy. The call ended at about 52 minutes - she literally stopped in mid sentence abruptly. Well, nothing she said was true and nothing came true. Now I have done my homework on her. After scouring the internet other folks have had similar experiences. Everyone is a writer and everyone has lots of angels. She seems to tailor the names to the person. My angels had English names while a latino reviewer said all hers had spanish names. Kim has posted videos of her home and home office on the web and they are nice. She brags about working in loungewear (which means fancy pajamas). And based on how much she charges it looks like she makes a lot of money. I figure that if she just works five hours a day for five days a week, plus money from her books and speaking, she is making 300,000-500,000 a year. Not bad for sitting around in pajamas all day! The sad thing is she really breaks hearts and turns people off to the spirit world. I truly believe in spirit and folks who can connect (I wish I could). I wish Kim had directed her sales skills elsewhere. She could have made just as much money and not disappointed so many. read more

I should have known that Kim was not on the level when she started our phone session asking me about my age. The man who sets up her phone appointments had said to me that the client's age would not come up. I hesitated when she asked, but did not complain. I gave her my age. I immediately realized that I had made a major mistake. Kim immediately began to tailor her comments to fit the general profile of women in my age bracket. "You're going through a transition period", she said. The reading went downhill from there. I happen to be Hispanic. Naturally, three of my six angels had Hispanic names. Coincidence? I think not. She talked about my meeting the most amazing man (this will happen soon, of course), who will sweep me off my feet. I should forget about the man who is in my life right now, as he is not serious about having a relationship with me. In fact, this man has demonstrated that he absolutely wants to deepen our relationship. The man of my future and I will travel all over the world (I avoid travel as much as possible). I guess he will be quite wealthy too. But there's more: I'll be taking amazing photographs, worthy of being published. She made sure to mention that he and I would meet in a neighborhood that is close to mine (of course, she has my address). I never go to that neighborhood! She kept talking about my children. Not wanting to embarrass her, I didn't tell her that I don't have children. In the area of "work" she wisely recommended that I should work on my resume. She described me as a real "people person" who would be very good at running a therapist's office. As it turns out, I am a very reserved and shy person. I'm assuming that the job she chose for me is based on her assumptions regarding my educational level. I happen to have a doctorate. Yes. I should have known better. Her comments about my health "issues" couldn't have been more off the mark. Apparently, my gall bladder will have to come out next year. We'll see..... Kim told me to avoid all dairy products. I think I'll check with my doctor. She recommended walking and stretching as the best forms of exercise for me. Perfect for people my age! At the beginning of the session Kim told me that the hour would go really fast. Of course! She keeps saying the same things over and over again. I had to interrupt her to change the subject. I have to echo Leslie S.'s comment: "I feel like a complete idiot for having paid for psychic services from Kim O'Neill. What a WASTE of money." I was a skeptic before the reading. I met Kim for the first time, twenty years ago. I was on vacation in Orlando, and her book "How to Talk with Your Angels" literally fell off the shelf. For me, it was fortunate that I bent down and picked it up that day. Sure...as I sat in my closet practicing communicating with something that I couldn't see or prove existed...I felt pretty stupid and alone. Patience was the first thing I had to learn in order to receive and experience their guidance. Our time and theirs is very different. And, I'm very glad I didn't give up. I made an appointment with Kim, and because I wanted to know whom I was speaking with, I made plans to drive from Pensacola to Houston for the session. Before this would happen, I became ill and had surgery. I was at home recovering and I started running fever on my second post-op day. As I laid in bed with a sense of peace overcoming me, feeling my body and soul giving into the illness, I suddenly remembered Kim's book. I remembered reading her gracious words, "that your Angels can not help you unless you ask them". At that moment I said, "Angels...what's wrong with me?" In an instant, a voice spoke to me the words that saved my life, "you have a small leakage from your surgical site, go to the hospital now or you could die". In my weak state, I began to drift off and the Angel repeated the same message only louder. I got up, had my husband (a physician) take me to the ER. Tests were performed that confirmed exactly what my Angel had told me. Kim is a unique, wonderful gift from God. I thank God for her everyday. She unselfishly uses her gifts, talents and abilities to help others make their own personal connection with the spiritual guides that want to help make our time on the Earthly plane a bit easier. I can vouch for Kim's integrity, professionalism, character & accurateness by far more than 110%. She is spot on. I recently lost a daughter who took her life by suicide. I've been seeing Kim since the early nineties and I can't say enough about her readings. This has helped guide me through life and see things from a more objective view. I am in the interesting position of being almost a case study for readings with Kim, as I have had three hour long readings now over the course of about 7 years. I have never written a review of this or any sort online before, but felt really compelled to do so on this subject after giving it considerable thought. I'm giving Kim a 1 star rating, not because she isn't nice and upbeat and probably, I want to believe, has good intentions, but because the readings I recieved, all three, with 7 years to bear them out, have been 100% inaccurate. I will say this another way; not a single thing in any area of my life that was discussed in our readings has come to pass in any way shape or form that resembles her predictions. Nothing. And as I glanced over other reviews and realized she has a standard of telling people very similar things about pretty major areas of their lives I felt very disappointed and that I should add my 2 cents, ( unfortunately much more than that really), to the pot. I too was told I would be an author and a vegan. And while I could see myself doing some writing in some capacity in the future, the best selling books and movies made based on them that she spoke of, not so much. And I will be having steak for dinner tonight. I was told during each reading in great detail about a wonderful gentleman that I would marry, a different one each time, two of whom I would meet in a coffee shop with a bookstore attached, one of whom I would meet on an online dating site. Each of these meetings was to take place within months of each reading. I remain single 7 years later. Not only did I not meet "Mr. Wonderful" #1 online within 3 months as she stated I would, ( "This WILL happen", were the words she used), but I remained online for 2 years, feeling I really needed to give it a shot, knowing that sometimes timings can be disruppted, and in all that time met NO ONE I could connect with in any meaningful way. I made it clear I wasn't comfortable with online dating but she assurred me this was the way we would meet. Nothing, I finally gave up, disliking the exerience of online dating as I knew I would. She told me my abusive boss would be fired and I too would be changing jobs, we are both still at our place of work 7 years later. She told me the woman my ex was seeing at the time was just "a port in a storm" for him and that nothing would come of the relationship because of his 'hideous committment issues", they are now married. When I asked during my 2nd reading what had happened to the previous soulmate I was told was coming that never materialized, she told me I had, "outgrown him". I find it a little hard to believe that someone so perfectly suited for me that I would share a , "heart, mind, body and soul" relationship with him for the rest of my life would be someone I could outgrow before even meeting him. But, I remained optimistic. No Mr. Wonderful #2, no Mr. Wonderful #3. No career change, no move to the ocean as she predicted. And among the other various things discussed, not a thing was accurate or useful in any way. Now you may wonder why I would continue to have readings with a psychic who didn't seem to be connecting with me. I had chosen Kim in the first place because I had really enjoyed her books and I do appreciate that when it comes to our manifested lives, we are constantly creating them and I felt it was fair to consider that sometimes things shift in the way they unfold based on shifts in who we are and the subtle changes in choices we make that can alter how things happen. In short, I felt compelled to give her the benefit of the doubt in part because I wanted it to be real for me. I tend to be both open minded and skeptical and at this point am willing to conclude only this: She must be connecting genuinely with some people during readings, there are reviews that support this and I can't imagine she could continue to be successful if she wasn't. But I'm not one of them and I'm not alone. The bottom line is that if she is authentically able to read for people then she should also be able to tell when she is not "hooking into" someone and should be honest about it. She runs a business that provides a service that I paid for but that I don't feel I received. In any other sort of business one would expect to receive the service to be redone to safisfaction or the fee involved refunded. I appreciate that this is a fuzzy business in common business terms, but I don't think it should be. And especially considering the fee she charges which I think by industry standards is pretty high. Now, I am a happy person who is enjoying my life and this has been an interesting experience. But I believe in business, no matter what that business is, as in life, one should be held accountable and that's in part why I'm writing this. I also hope it will be of service to others. I've had readings with her both back in the early 90's and one more recently. I just thought I'd give her one more chance. She is not completely without some ability, but it does seem a lot is filled in with fluff and fantasy and something everyone wants to hear. A year ago she said my aging mother would be gone in 30-90 days and I'm sitting next to her right now, incoherent but very much alive. A LOT Kim told me would happen never came to pass, though she did speak to my specific talents in a real way, and maybe her timing was just off...by 20+ years. LOL. She's a darling person, very sweet, but she has to know she's nowhere near 100% right. I'm laughing as I read someone else's comments that she tells everyone they're going to be a writer. In my case it's actually true, though my breakthrough opus (fingers crossed) is just now being completed. Years ago she gave me the names of some songs I would write, and that actually happened, but though they're good I wasn't able to connect with anyone and turn them into anything the way she predicted. At some point I'm supposed to be driving an ice blue Rolls Royce Wraith, courtesy of my creative talents. Ha! We'll see. She did say that by the time I acquired it I'd be paying $500K, and the price isn't that high yet. So maybe one day. She did predict I'd own an Infiniti Q-45, and that happened. My advice is to take her as entertainment, make notes, and see what follows, but I would NOT make life or death decisions based on anything she says. And speaking of heavy decisions, I paid for one of her psychic Saturday sessions, and after sending in two questions that were about truly important things in my life she refunded my money and told me that the angels had told her I was to use my own connection to the angels instead of paying for psychic sessions from here on out. Maybe that says something. The phrase buyer beware should always be at the forefront of your mind, and especially when looking into this kind of thing.
