Olivia not only answered me, she knows exactly what it is that youre envisioning when you try to describe it to her and she can carry out what youre looking for and goes above and beyond on it. Despite having other clients that day, she still was able to squeeze me in and did an absolutely beautiful job on my hair. There was another place that I had called that said they couldn't do that style on me without hair extensions, but Olivia did it super easily with zero need for that and found ways to make my super super long hair work with the style in the most creative and flattering ways. She also takes super small details into account that make a big difference, such as where intentionally creating contrast/differences in certain areas on purpose instead of one consistent/clean edge actually makes it look more flattering on the person, which strands of baby hairs to let out and whether they should be straight or wavy or curled, and what is more flattering for the person's face shape and facial features since it varies from person to person. Just exactly what I need. So I hired them to shoot my pre-wedding photos. there are four dresses with different locations and a whole day of makeup artist support. For context, we were going for a whimsical vibe with my attire because we shot at the Arlington Gardens in Pasadena and our wedding in August is going to be rustic chic themed. I sent a few hair ideas beforehand - most involving some curls and braids - but no makeup ideas. Tbh, I know very little about makeup and barely wear any, so I told Lucy to do whatever she thought was best ... and omg did she nail it!! And she did all of this while being COVID-friendly in a mask and gloves. :) Lucy's studio is very clean and relaxing and downright beautiful. She has dried flowers artistically decorating the walls and SO MANY GOWNS to rent (I think she sells some, too). Lucy was so fast with her work, I was so surprised! Quick and perfect. She uses a lot of high end makeup brands, like Chanel and Tom Ford. She gave me a look that was both natural and photo friendly - it really popped in the pics. I attached iPhone 11 pics from inside her studio and our car en route to the shoot. I also attached unedited pics from L Photo Studio so you can see how truly beautiful the makeup photographed. Idk how she did it, but she made my hair look so much thicker than it is with the braid she did. I have the worst hair - it's dry, takes years to grow an inch, and it's pretty thin. Pretty natural strawberry blonde color, but that's about the only thing good about it lol. Despite all that, Lucy made it look amazing! PS, my cute hair piece was only $3 at Santee Alley! :D My eyelashes were possibly my fav part. A sweaty multi-hour shoot, multiple showers, face washes, and sweaty workouts later, those things were still flawless! I took them off with ease on day 4 just to give my eyes a break. I attached the day 4 pic where I'm wearing 0 makeup except my gorgeous lashes. Next time I need hair and makeup services, I'll definitely be back. Thank you so much, Lucy!
