The style is very eclectic, a little hippie and a little hipster with some Asian flair. I'll definitely be back when I don't have the Hubster waiting outside for me, his patience for my clothes shopping growing incredibly thin. I didn't buy anything this time around, having blown my budget elsewhere all over Montreal, but my friend bought a cute dress with an owl print on it. Everything looked to be about $45.

Great variety, reasonable prices--an average of $50 for new dresses, less for sales--and the saleswoman offered me sincere advice about what works for my body type. I purchased some classic organic cotton dresses, organic bamboo tops that were more "boho chic" and a few mini-skirts. My saleswoman is a green thumb, and told me that bamboo contributes towards cutting green house gases in the atmosphere--bamboo grows quickly and densely--and also allows for more sustainable land use in developing countries. Tucked in there were other things that may make you smile (or not if you think about it) such as a nun doll with torn skirt, possibly the source of someone's nightmare. Fun?! Additionally, having the two sections probably makes gift shopping (for your fave Kitsch lover) a dream. When I visited this weekend there was a big labour day sale- I spotted beautiful vintage Pyrex bowls for prices like $25. Obviously you could probably snag these kinds of things for cheaper if you combed through a Village des Valeurs, by why bother if these guys are going to dig up the good stuff? What absolutely beautiful clothing!…read more The pieces designed and produced right in the store are both classic and unique, well made and oh so totally Montreal - I am %100 saving up to buy a pretty summer dress/skirt from here. What I liked most about the dresses was not only their fit and fabric but I can just tell that they will be able to withstand the wear and tear that is inevitable for me when I spend all summer biking around Montreal. The space itself is cool and is host to a variety of events supporting local art and music. Big fan!

Well, not so much in the shoe department, as I still don't see a whole lot of size 11 shoes. It's the selection of Kipling purses. For a while, I have been longing for a purple Kipling purse. They are few and far between. I have a black one that I love. I managed to find a small purple one in Ottawa, which I adore. I found the same purple coloured Kipling purse at this store, but a bit larger. When I first saw it, I couldn't believe it. I held it and debated whether I wanted it. Rational me put it down and got on with my day. However, the day before I had to head home, I decided to stop by the store again. If this purple purse was there, it was meant to be mine. Otherwise, I would be okay if it went to a happy shopper to love. On Thursday, I arrived just before noon. It was there! It was mine! I now am the proud owner of two purple Kipling purses and am extremely happy. The cashier helping me out was great and friendly. She asked if I had a TJX Style card. I did and had it scanned. I paid using a debit card and all was well. The checkout area caters to both HomeSense and Marshalls. Another first was dropping by the women's washroom with a purchased item. I have rarely done it. However, since I had been out and about for at least a couple of hours, it was okay. I also wanted to declare this purse mine. The washroom was clean and spacious. It's in the far right corner of the store when you first walk in. There is plenty of parking in front of this store, both on Sunday and Thursday. I got spots pretty close to the main entrance. (257)
