I drop off a pair of shoes at this location and had to pay in advance something I do not do, so he took my money and gave me a ticket for my shoes. I returned several days later did not have my ticket and he said I need that ticket and I said I do not have it. He asked me to describe my shoes and I did so. He went to the back and return to the counter with the shoes behind his back and he threw a ticket that was inside the shoe on the counter and yelled at me to sign the back of the ticket and I said do not yell at me and I want my shoes and you will give them to me because I have already paided for them. He put my shoes on the counter and I had brought five more pairs of shoes in but I told him he will not get anymore business from me and when I founded the ticket I returned it and threw it on the counter and left. I needed an "X" pattern of stitching to secure both ends of a cotton/polyester strap around two rifle sling fittings. Took it in on a Wednesday and was promised the item would be done "after two" the following afternoon. Paid ten dollars on my debit card. When I returned, the older gentleman informed me that it wasn't ready, that the glue hadn't dried yet. "One more hour" he promised and so I left to do some grocery shopping. Returned an hour later. The stitching was done, but one end of the strap was mismatched off to the side about two millimeters. It was really noticeable and I showed it to the lady who brought it to me. She shrugged and called for the guy to come to the front. I sensed there wasn't a thing they could do because it was glued, so I just said "nevermind" and left the store. It was obviously slapped together quickly and haphazardly to just get it done. The stitching was a single pass on the "Xs". When I got home, I was able to take a lighter flame to it and shrink the edges back to a nice, flush edge. I'm still a bit miffed about the sloppiness and the lack of a telephone call to inform me that it would be late. Why do they ask for a telephone number if they don't use it? I'm a little surprised by the negative reviews they have here and can't help but wonder if it has to do with them not speaking English very well. The two ladies in the store don't speak a word of English yet the man who I can only guess is the elderly Asian gent can communicate just fine. I dropped off a pair of boots that I love, are over 10 years old, and the soles and heals were destroyed (I have a bad habit of putting my feet down prior to my bike coming to a complete stop). I was charged $65 for the repair which is less then I paid another shoe repair store to do the exact same thing to another pair of boots I have. When I picked the boots up the sole was perfect. It was blended in perfectly with the rest of the sole (I guess the norm is half soles as this was done to my other pair as well). The heals were rounded due to wear and I was not expecting this to be fixed yet it somehow was. I really couldn't be happier. I will say that it took a day longer then expected. I personally am ok with this. Running a business and trying to keep everyone happy is difficult. I personally would rather the job get done well and I wait a extra day then it done poorly and I get it on time. Something the guy with expensive wife shoes learned......and my shoes were also non the floor when I went to pick them up, shocking, shoes on the floor! read more

Took my wives very expensive pair of boots for repair work here. When I arrived I spoke to an Elder Asian Gent of whom I later came to find out that he didn't have a clue as to good customer service is. I explained to him that I had tried another shoe repair place to repair my wife's boots which just simply needed good quality glue on the Heel pad but when we got the boots back from there they simply did not stick very well and the Heel pad came off again. I asked the Asian Gent if he could do a better job and if it would be professional. He of course told me yes it would be. So believing him and seeing him as a grown adult that respects their customers I told him to do the repair. He immediately wanted payment of 25 dollars to glue the Heel pad on the boots. I thought it was rather expensive just for glue but I figured it would be professional and that he would use special quality type glue. I gave him the boots on a Friday and he said they would be done the following Thursday. I then came back to pick up the boots on Thursday and when he gave me the boots they were just sitting on the floor that was dirty and unorganized which had my name on them. Excess glue was all over the Heels of the very expensive boots. He even had glue on the upper portion of the boots. Mess of glue every where as if who ever did the job did not care at all where the glue was applied. To make things worse I asked the Asian Gent if he thought that was a professional type job with professional type glue and he of course was speechless and explained to me the type of glue used is general purpose cement glue. If you have shoes you care about and paid a lot of money for please DO NOT take them here. These people do NOT know what they are doing and barely speak a lick of English. Specially when things go wrong. I would not recommend this place of business to anyone. As a matter of fact I do NOT think this place should be in business. A Veteran/God Loving and Fearing man.
