Unlike its name sake we weren't confronted by drunk lady tourists flashing their bits. Instead we where given a generous and affordable drink menu and a tantalising food menu. With a glass of sparkling and a serve of perfectly cooked roti bread there wasn't much more that could have made me happier. Until a mountain of chicken pad thai turned up to tease me. Followed by a deceptively dainty bowl of coconut rice accompanied by lamb mud saman curry. I don't really want to go into details about how delicious this food was as I really feel you need to experience it for yourself. Sufficient to say I walked out border line food coma. Even under ordering I wasn't able to fit in dessert due to the generous dishes. It's the little touches that really impressed. Wait staff regularly topping up water, not interrupting our conversation and four little Easter eggs on a tray when the bill arrived.

Generic chicken spring rolls and chicken curry puffs. They were really nice and would probably order again. For my main, I had the chicken fried rice and though it was really nothing to look at (presentation left much to be desired) the food was very good. The kitchen honoured our requests for changes to the dishes, and the mains also came out in reasonable timing. From a pricing point of view, I think it was very reasonable. Mains were in the mid teens, and on a par with other small Thai restaurants. Overall ... would I come back again? If I was in the area, I'd definitely come back again. There wasn't anything really bad about it here at all. Considering it's almost a 30 minute drive from home to it, I'd be more inclined to try elsewhere first. But if you find yourself in Sandringham and want a good Thai meal, give this a try for sure.

The funny thing was that I was wanting so Thai - not exactly the cruisine that you visit Lygon Street for. Anyway, despite not expecting to find any Thai restaurants down here I pretty quickly came across this place, so I decided to go and check it out. I'll have to say not bad. The food is pretty good and the staff really nice. I can't quite remember what I had but I believe it was the noodles (as opposed to the curry). They also have the traditional Thai beers as well. I sat down to the paper menu and my long black and struggled with the difficult decision on what on earth I would try first. I can see this becoming a regular haunt very quickly. I settled on hainanese chicken rice that carried off a fantastic kick of chilli that I wasn't expecting. YUM! It would have been rude to walk away without entertaining some fried roti for dessert. I've been going there for very good reasons. The food is excellent. It's got acceptable décor. Service is usually pretty fast. Did I mention that the food is excellent? It's pretty well priced too. I usually grab a red beef curry, and that's under $15. A bit of coconut rice and maybe an appetiser, and you've got a nice dinner for two for around $25. Occasionally there are mistakes made when you order, like getting chicken instead of beef, and that sort of thing. But they'll bend over backwards to make things right. That's part of the reason I like them. They're very customer satisfaction focused. Give them a go. You'll really like the food. Especially if you get off the train at Syndal after a hard day at work.

I highly recommend any of those three, as the flavors are really outstanding. Being that I am yet to try any of their meat options, I can't speak to the quality of those, but the vegetables are fresh and the overall flavor of everything on the menu is really good. I would also recommend the Thai beer Singha with just about anything on the menu, as in my limited experience it is the best Thai beer that is widely available, and drinking an Australian beer at a Thai restaurant is just stupid.

The dishes taste as they are made from the freshest ingredients and the flavours are simple yet complex, like all good Thai food should be.
