Such a great family friendly restaurant. They can always accommodate a big family (group of 8) at any given day. My parents love their fried fish topped with mango salad. As you can see on the photos its a hefty serving of fish. The mango has a nice spice level to it. I got the mango salad with vegetarian duck in Thai spice. Its spicy but not to the level that is unbearable. Shared the green curry with pork. The curry has a nice texture and creamyness to it. My daughter loves the pad see ew. They give great portions sizes, so she will always make sure there is some for lunch the next day. We over indulge of the appetizers because why not, and so good. We typically get the calamari, chive dumplings, crab lagoon, and dumplings. The dumplings are always a hit. The service is great. The team is always responsive and friendly. I love this restaurant. It close to my house and across the street from Cunningham Park so it's nice to go for a walk after eating. I came here Sunday evening with my sister for dinner. We sat outside since the weather was gorgeous. We ordered drinks, appetizers, entree, and dessert. We were hungry! We tried their new larb fries. They were good. All the food is good here. The Bangkok wings are my favorite. A must order. The fried ice cream was delicious and the perfect end to our meal. If you haven't eaten here, I highly recommend. Ate here today for dinner with my parents and cousin for my mom's belated birthday trying this place out for the first time. We definitely start off getting mango salad and fried calamari, then beef drunken noodles, Phuket fried rice and crispy duck and for dessert we had gotten the mango sticky rice. As an overall it had tasted really good and super delicious. The service there was also attentive and quite fast and efficient. We couldn't agree more about it. Easily one of the best Thai spots you will go to! I love everything on the menu, the only thing that isn't my favorite is the Tom Yum Soup.

Unfortunately dropping my rating a bit here, which is quite sad after all the years that I've frequented Kin'd. I'm not sure when it changed, but the flavors have gotten quite toned down since they opened years ago. It seems as if their bold & punchy Thai flavors been modified a bit. My fiance & I used to sweat from the medium spicy here, but now its very tolerable. Even the spicy is not as spicy as it used to be. The duck noodle soup is also not as herbal-y and strong as it used to be. That being said, the food here is still good. I still enjoy the flavors of the drunken noodles & tom yum soup here - just need to be mindful in ordering the next spice level up. Prices have gone up in the past few years, but are still pretty comparable to other thai places. Service used to be super hospitable and they would check in often. Not sure if it was an off day, but we were seated in a corner near the window & never really had anyone come by to even refill our water glasses. There is also the most annoying light flicker in the back area. I still have a soft spot for Kin'd and still do enjoy their food; just a bit saddened by the changes over the years. read more

Plenty of residential street parking and metered parking. It is a decently sized space, so can go solo or in a large group. They were cutely decorated and put out lights in the evening. They also get a lot of takeout orders. The Pad See Ew with Vegetarian Duck has a strong soy sauce flavor. The vegetarian duck and Chinese broccoli were cooked well. My entree came out very quick.. like within 15 minutes. It was piping hot. The You Are Mine mocktail (seasonal special) is a mix of pineapple, yuzu, lime and unsweetened green tea. It is very yuzu forward with a hint of the pineapple and lime in the background. They have a variety of other drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Overall, a solid Thai spot to hit, especially for their lunch specials. The portions for the lunch special is the same as the dinner portion, and you get a small appetizer as well! read more

I sometimes come here when I'm craving the green curry, other then that, I don't really come to this Restaurant otherwise due to work convenience. the one thing that turned me off with this was that I found a long piece of hair in my white rice before. I don't know how it got in there, but they really should wear hair nets when they are preparing food. The food is great here! The minced chicken basil was flavorful and the pad thai is delish. Mango sticky rice was also one of the best ones I've had. We ordered the shrimp rolls for appetizers and the crispiness and the sweet and savory sauce paired well together. The waiters were so attentive to our table and super kind. Ate at Kin'd while visiting my son-in-law, who suggested it knowing how much I love Thai food. He mentioned he's been there many times with my daughter, so we knew it would be good--and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. One of my top Thai spots - Delicious food, quick service, and enjoyed the overall vibes of Kin'd! The Duck Roll really caught my eye when we looked up Kin'd - it's a unique appetizer in itself and pretty filling. The roti wrap is flaky and the Duck and fillings inside are savory. I absolutely loved the Papaya Salad and how every ingredient was crunchy and paired well together. The Pad Thai had thinner noodles than previous Pad Thai's I've had but nonetheless still delicious, leaning more on the sweet side. The portions were generous and we packed leftovers. Cute Thai restaurant in union turnpike. The area itself seems a bit quiet but inside is a good volume, probably thanks to all the bustling of customers. Quite a good amount of customers but we were seated immediately since they have a good amount of seats. Food pricing here is quite affordable with most main dishes priced around $20s. Went with some friends and we all got noodle dishes. I got the basil soup noodle dish, which wasn't bad if you like a more simple and fragrant soup base (has cilantro if you don't like cilantro). My other friends got the pad see ew -sorry for my butchering of the name but I tried a bit and that would be my go to there from now on, really flavorful and good texture of the beef and noodles. For drinks I got the coffee which was ok in my opinion, my friend said it tastes like it's from a can. Other drinks we got were the lychee drink and that tea. read more

Kin'd (Kin-Dee) is located on Union Turnpike and 192nd street in Fresh Meadows. There are plenty of residential street parking on 192nd street and metered parking spots on Union Turnpike. Entrance to restaurant is on 192nd street. Kin'd means to eat well in Thai and our group of 3 definitely ate well. Our group came to Kin'd the day before Thanksgiving for dinner. Our friend was running late, but the staff were kind enough to seat us. Kin'd is very spacious with many tables inside and outside. It is a great spot for groups. While we waited for our friend, we had time to look at the menu and order drinks. I ordered the Thai Teatini (vodka with kahlua with Thai iced tea) and Thai Iced Tea. I liked the alcoholic version of the Thai iced tea, but I preferred the non-alcoholic version. My husband had the Blue Paradise which had rum, lime juice, blue curacao, pina colada mix and pineapple juice. Drinks were very good. For appetizers, we ordered the Bangkok wings which were marinated chicken wings with sweet chilli sauce. The wings were very crispy, flavorful, and a great dish to start and share. For entree, I had the Pad woon sen with beef. The Pad woon sen has sauteed glass noodle, egg, onion, scallion, cabbage, celery, carrot, tomato and sesame oil. The dish was very flavorful, delicious, delectable, and appetizing. My husband and friend had the Drunken noodle with beef. They both enjoyed it very much. The dishes were very filling and there was a good proportion of noodles and meat. For dessert, my husband and I shared the Coconut Sticky Rice with Green Tea Ice Cream. I was intrigued since I've usually only had Mango Sticky Rice with Ice Cream. The sticky rice had really good coconut flavor. The green tea ice cream also was very good. Our friend ordered ice cream. Mermaids- Crispy shrimp with a nice balance of fresh vegetables, I wished there was more than 4 shrimps Phuket Fried Rice- Decently seasoned but the rice was a little wet. Thai restaurants have sprung up in the neighborhood and Kin'D had taken over this space that was an Asian fusion restaurant and opened up just before the pandemic. I'm glad they made it through. The dining room is fairly large with a nice ambiance. They took advantage of the NYC post-Covid situation and the wide sidewalk to put up a big covered porch for outside dining, increasing their seating by more than half. After having a couple of meals, I want to add it to our list of regular dinner plans. Many dishes normally seen at other Thai restaurants are on the menu with a lot of variations. So what sets them apart are some unique dishes that we had to try. The Crispy Calamari Salad is excellent and I would order this often. The fried calamari rings are plentiful, mixed in with romaine, grape tomatoes, red onion slivers, all dressed in a spicy sweet dressing. The Papaya Salad is OK, but I would choose the calamari. Maybe we'll try the duck salad next time? The noodle dishes are not outstanding but alright. Not a whole lot to write home about the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew or Drunken Noodles except that you can have your choice of protein with it. We've tried calamari and chicken so far and they were tasty. The Crispy Basil Soft Shell Crab was very good, but crab was small and I couldn't tell, but I think there were 2 small ones under the blanket of fried basil. I was pleasantly surprised by the Tamarind Duck though. It's a half duck, mostly deboned except for the drumstick, breast & thigh nicely sliced and very moist, even though the skin was crispy. The sweet tamarind sauce went well with the duck and jasmine rice. If you like it spicy, get the Crispy Basil version similar to the soft shell crab. Sorry to say that this place opened in my neighborhood in 2018 and it took me until yesterday to give them a try. Excellent drink, food, and service. Had a Cosmopolitan and a vodka, soda with a splash of oj as drinks. They were strong. Started with the Deluxe Combo Appetizer: 2 shrimp rolls, 2 curry puffs, 2 Thai dumplings, 2 Bangkok wings....Delicious. and just enough for two people. For the mains, I had the Siamese Fried Rice (Traditional Thai fried rice with egg, onion, scallion, tomato and green pea) with crispy duck and my better half had the Green Salmon (Grilled salmon, bell pepper, string bean, eggplant, basil with green curry) with Jasmine rice. Both were good sized portions and delicious. I had to help my better half finish hers. Oh, the horror. No room for dessert. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu. Visited this place twice. One time about a few months ago to dine in with the family and recently had some take out. The food has stayed pretty consistent. The pad see ew was on point both times and the curry puffs were good as well. If you can dine in, the restaurant is pretty cute with a decent amount of seating. We got the Vegetable Dumplings, Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken, and Drunken Noodles with Beef. All delicious and the portion sizes were great--we were stuffed. This was my first visit to Kin'd and I was very impressed. First impressiond were the lighting was great, the tables were full, and the staff were very friendly. Now on to the food and drinks. I had a Mai Thai and it was delicious! For the entree, I split the 3-taste whole fish with a friend and had a side of coconut sticky rice. The sauce on the fish was like sweet and sour ish. Very flavorful. Great crisp on the fish. I would have liked a little more spiciness on the fish but that's my personal preference. The coconut sticky rice was much sweeter than I thought it would be, but wasn't too sweet. It could have been a dessert item in my eyes. I would probably have it with a more savory fish flavor option next time to have better contrast.
