The Musik box is a pretty unique concept that really draws upon a lot of low-level things humans really thrive when they have it. Since I didn't have a lot of music training or general incorporation past early years, I feel like this has been a pretty magical experience of professionalism, well-researched theory, practical application, and most importantly joy to my child. We've been coming for over a year now and mostly kept with it in that duration, only taking a break for a small while during holidays. The Jamisons and co. that run the place really are passionate about their work and use well-defined structure with silliness to keep the kids engaged and thinking constantly using their methodologies. Really, the value is pretty great and while it can be a bit on the pricey side for those that are on the fence. While traditionally you may only have 1 parent relegated to taking to a "feeling" kind of class, it's really welcoming (and encouraged!) for all family members that want to join. Some of that value you that isn't on the box is building a community of people walking the same steps you are. Between the developmentally appropriate learning, lots and lots of options as far as times/days/age-ranges, and generally a well-put-together program - I'd wholeheartedly recommend parents give it a try if you can afford it! read more

I'm so glad we found the MusikBox for my 2.5 year old daughter! Mrs Jamison has made us feel right at home, and right away my daughter was enjoying music and movement in this program. The owners and staff all go above and beyond - including giving my daughter her own set of egg shakers to practice with at home. They also capture pictures weekly of each kid with their parent/guardian having fun during the class. This program is a great value for the monthly cost, my daughter is learning and growing and looks forward to attending music class every week! read more

We've been attending The Musik Box since my son was 8 months old. He is now 6 and 1/2 and still loving it. As a first time mom, it was great to get out of the house and meet other parents going through the same journey as I was. Over the years, friendships were formed. Playdates outside of class were planned! It has been an incredible 6 years at the studio. The best of the best! Our daughter started attending kindermusik at 4 months old, is now 8 years old and completed the entire program. We were looking for something fun to do with our daughter and to connect with other parents with children the same age. What we found was so much more! Not only is this an amazing musical foundation for young learners, the classes support child development through fun and play that enhances gross and fine motor skills, impulse control, listening, friendship, etc. As a parent, this program supports the journey as we seek to raise confident and resilient children in todays world. We joined Musik box with our daughter and liked it for the most part. However, we brought up a disagreement to the structure of the class to the teacher ms. Stefanie Jamison and she completely went off on us in front of my daughter. Demeaning us as parents and adults just because as she put it "I'm older than you". Her unprofessionalism behavior and demeanor changed everything we felt about Musik box. Now we see musik box and their teachers completely different, they treat you like children when you bring up a disagreement and tell you that it's not them and that it's corporate. I would never recommend Musik box especially not Ms. Stefanie Jamison and her condescending behavior to anyone. read more

The Musik Box has been an absolutely wonderful fit for our family and a place we recommend to anyone with young children. We started with the Foundations class when our kids were only a couple of months old. From the minute we walked through the doors we knew we had found a special place. If you have a child who is spirited and spunky - going through the terrible twos - and is not a cookie cutter child do not bring them to this class. I used to love this class but my son has been having a difficult time lately and he cries in class (He is only Two Years Old). I promptly took him out of class twice when this happened, and the third time I was asked to step out. I spoke to the owner, Robert, and he told me that his responsibility is to think of the other families too and my son's crying is upsetting. This concern was never brought to me. No teacher reached out to me to let me know what was happening or help me guide my son through this normal stage. It is unsettling that a place that is supposed to help babies learn, grow, and cope with stages of development see them and their moms as a nuisance. As a mom who is going through a difficult but normal stage with her son - there is no compassion at all - in an environment where my son and I should feel safe and supported by the teachers and other mothers - you will not find that here. I am not doing this to receive a refund. This is unacceptable, I simply want to advise and warn other mothers who have beautiful little children with strong-willed personalities. Absolutely amazing classes for kids. I learn something new almost every time I go to class with my kids. They love going to music class. It has been great for my 2 year old to help him warm up to new people. The parents and kids that are involved with Kindermusik are very nice and caring. I know there are different teachers, who I have hear are amazing, the only one I have had is Stefanie Jamison. My kids adore her. She is so fun, caring and passionate about Kindermusik and it shows with each and every class. I'm love that there is always someone there to watch one of my kids while I'm in class with the other. While Kindermusik has provided novice opportunities for musical enrichment and social skills among infant and toddler-aged children, the structure of the classroom has increasingly become a hub for built-in screen time, in contrast to hands-on enrichment. Furthermore, the class, which included a developmentally appropriate book and CD for the enrollees, has now moved to an all electronic platform delivered via an application. The instructor, Stefanie Jamison, took it upon her own accord to demean me both as a parent and a professional, in front of my two young children. Her acts were unprofessional, hostile, and cemented my decision to unenroll my child. I will be reaching out to the corporate office to ensure a follow up to her incredibly inappropriate behavior, and ascertain that no other parent is treated the way I was, especially not in front of their children. I will never consider re-enrolling my children and will never recommend this class to anyone considering their enrollment. I am dismayed and disheartened by the words and actions of what I perceived to be a professional, and hope that others do not have the misfortune of experiencing the same ill accounts. read more

We have had an incredible experience with Ms Jamison at Kindermusik. I originally signed my son (4 years old) up for summer classes and was so pleased with the classes that I signed him up for the school year as well. The classes are very affordable and the class size is small. They help kids learn through music and songs and give them fun mini homework assignments to do each week. They also offer Parents Night Out every Friday and Saturday night. You can pay $30 and they will watch your children for a few hours and provide them with plenty to keep busy. They not only offer this for students but for their siblings as well, which has allowed us to have date nights when we drop off my son and one year old daughter. Fantastic program. Fantastic experience. Fantastic teacher and owner. Fantastic family. Our 4.5 year old is 9+months into her involvement with Kindermusik at The Musik Box and she and we could not be more thrilled. This program and Mrs. Jamison work to help develop a child's readiness for not only the eventual learning of a musical instrument but for all learning and human interaction. Through very purposed weaving of music/song into movement, reading, rhyming, instrument play and more, these young kids develop their cognitive and social abilities while having an absolute blast (and it's pretty fun stuff for us to engage in as a family)! We have zero doubt that through this program/approach our daughter will not only be far more prepared and excited about learning a musical instrument(s) in the time to come but that she will also be well served in all her development. I cannot fathom that anyone with a young child would be disappointed with this program and its extras (Music Camp Out is a major hit!), facility or, in particular, the Jamison family. To any and all looking for a program for their young children, we say The Musik Box is a no brainer. read more
