After researching various places to get a remote starter installed in my Son's new car we settled on this establishment. My son called up the owner and was asked to bring the car in and leave it overnight so they could get to it the following day. My son was a bit worried about leaving his brand new car there but he did it anyway. The owner guaranteed the car would be pulled into the shop garage. Had a remote starter installed in my vehicle today. I dealt mostly with Mo who was nothing but professional throughout the whole experience. Dropped my car off at 10AM when they opened and I received a phone call before noon that it was ready for pickup. When I informed them I was not able to pick it up until later in the afternoon due to lack of transportation, they offered to drop it off to me! And they made it super convenient by accepting Venmo as a form of payment, saving me a trip to the bank. Mo and his crew installed an automatic car starter in my Subaru. When I stopped by late in the day, they offered to install it on the next day. That didn't work for me and they accommodated my preferred date. I dropped it off at 10AM when they opened and picked it up later that day. Mo showed me how to use it. The next morning my car wouldn't start. I called Mo and he said it sounded like a dead battery. He offered to jump my car or to give me a ride. I brought my '21 Ford Bronco in to install a swing gate subwoofer and speakers I bought - they suggested, provided, and installed an Amp to power everything and did a clean job installing everything. Sound is great considering it's a soft top 4 door, and they even threw a bass knob into the console seamlessly to control the bass separately. Price was very reasonable all considering. It disappoints me to have to write this review but I think it can help others to share my experience. I would actively discourage anyone from ever trusting your car to KCA. I brought my 05 Bentley continental GT in to replace my old speakers. My google searching didn't turn up any other speaker places close to me and the reviews seemed reasonably good. So I went to the place and asked Sam to give me a quote for the car. He estimated 9 hours of labor at $100 and about $600 in parts so $1500 Although that price was high, I thought it would be worth the investment and far cheaper than I would be paying for Bentley labor. Sam also communicated that cars are built the same and all they do is car stereo install so there is benefit to the specialization. Lastly, I liked Sam as well, seemed like a well-intentioned, good guy. The one requirement I stressed was that the installation process not risk doing any damage to my car. We can't leave the car any way worse than when we started. If you're in over your head, just stop the work, and I'll pay for the labor up until that point and get it done elsewhere. We agreed. When I picked the car up, my bill was $2600 given the need for extra speakers and installation "hardware". That extra sum was already difficult to stomach. But it got worse when only a week later my passenger side window wouldn't roll down. I decided to take it to miller motors, my authorized Bentley dealer to have them really check it out and see how much it would cost me to repair. They told me the window issue was likely caused by the speaker installation and told me it was apparent "they were pretty rough with the door" and broke some tab. Bentley took several pictures of the damage. I'm wondering what recourse I have here. Essentially none. I'm already out another $1600 for Bentley repairing the damage. I suppose shame on me for trusting this kind of car to this place. The least I can do is serve as a reference for anyone considering taking their car here, especially if it isn't like a Nissan Sentra read more

I had a broken baby camera in my car and went to King to get it replaced. I told them that I would buy a replacement camera for $40 and bring it to them to install it. They told me that they could purchase a slightly better $60 version for me so I didn't have to go through the trouble. I found the camera on Amazon and told the store owner that I would order it. He said "Don't worry about it, mommy. I am going to make it easier for you and have it delivered to the shop." When I arrived at the shop to have the camera installed, they told me it was $200 for installation and an additional $150 for the camera. I told them that we had agreed that the camera cost $60. They told me it was too bad and I needed to pay them $150 if I wanted the new camera. I walked away, purchased the camera myself for $60 and had someone else install it for $200. I needed to replace various components to my previously installed (i.e., 2008) custom sound system in a 911. The technicians walked me through the various options I had available, possible upgrades and new features not previously available. We agreed on a plan and a price. The work was performed on time and in a professional, clean and efficient way. You wouldn't have known the car was disassembled, rewired and returned to its original condition. The quality was excellent. The work was on time. And the price was honored. Absolutely no complaints. Very nice group of guys that helped me. Clearly they took pride in their work and their professionalism was evident. Work done: new amp, three new speakers, new radio/bluetooth interface, backup camera, updated XM receiver, and maybe a couple other things I forgot about. They even tried to fix a loose door handle just because they saw it needed to be fixed. I'm quite pleased and happy to recommend them to anyone. I didn't go into a lot of detail with them, but it looked like their store handled fairly basic equipment and installations all the way to high-end systems. Mine was somewhere in the middle. Sketchy operation and terrible service. I got them to install a new head unit and steering wheel control harness in my 03 jeep a couple of years ago and the radio has not worked properly ever since. I picked the car up and found they had drilled an unnecessary hole in my center console and put an inoperable LED in to cover it up. Next comes the loose wires. The speakers cut in and out when you hit a bump. After that is the $100 over charge over the estimate. I never received a receipt so I can't prove they did the work and get them to fix it. Beware of King. Consider going somewhere else. read more

But before buying the coupon, I called this place to find out the total cost. I was told $179 when I showed up for appointment they wanted extra $150 saying they need special part. My car is a stock honda there is noting special about it. They should have informed me about the extra $150 when I called them earlier before buying the coupon. Anyways, Amazon was good enough to refund me the money. The guy showed me the lot of receipts he had saying he charges everyone extra $100-$200 for the parts. PUT THAT IN THE CONDITIONS!!!! so people are aware before buying your coupons. I would stay away from a place that does not run on integrity. read more

Not sure how this place is still in business... went in to look for a radio harness and they didn't have it. No big deal as most places don't stock parts like this. Then after searching on the computer he told me $45 dollars. Now after doing some of my own searching before I found it between 6.99 and 11.99 online and 13.99 from Best Buy. Not sure how a $7 part becomes $45. Next I saw an led light bar for sale as well. I was quoted $60 for a part you are able to get for around $8 as well. Now this wouldn't be an issue if it was a quality light but after inspecting the light it was indeed a ebay $8 light for $60. Now for the second part of the review. Years ago I gave them a chance and went in looking for a local shop to build me a box. After asking for custom box the owner (older middle eastern man) said he had one right here for me to buy. I said I wanted s custom box so he then goes to his computer and shows me some cut rate made in China box for well over 100 bucks! STAY AWAY. Theese people sell cheep cut rate products and are very uneducated in the car audio/ installer trade. Please don't get ripped off by them read more

I went to this place a few years ago and they hooked up an iPod dock for my car, and it worked well. Fast forward to now and my car's battery kept draining overnight. I had two mechanics say that it was the iPod dock. I went to King Car Audio and they charged me $80 to remove the dock which took five minutes. Now my battery is fine and doesn't drain anymore. I think it's crazy they charged 80 to take it out when it only cost 100 to be put in. read more

I requested that nothing deviated from stock appearance (so no one breaks into the car); this required a lot of wiring, etc. I think the guys did a great job. Stereo sounds great, installation is clean, and staff was friendly.
