The Renton Senior Activity Center has one of the best facilities and programs around. I have compared senior centers to other municipalities when I visited, such as the Olympia area, and now I know even more what a wonderful city I live in. Renton has wonderful green parks that make use of the Lake Washington lakefront and of the Cedar River which runs through town. Lots of bicycle paths are available and some outdoor exercise equipment.

Seattle has easy access for cruse ship passengers to go on a vacation, a great Pike's Place Market for local vendor shopping, a great food scene, and some much more for the tourists. For the residents, the unfocused population is a little disturbing although harmless as they don't seem to bother the tourists. Seattle is very liberal but "you do you" and mind your own values. They have great sports teams and a small Chinatown too. The waterfront is crazy between the Aquarium, the Ferris Wheel, and all the world famous restaurants on the waterfront. Seattle is one of those places that you could visit for a week and still have more to see on the next visit.

A Beautiful day for sure to display the 12's pride and joy parading down 4th St on foot, bus, trucks, convoys and so on. Alcohol free flowing on the streets :) without malice and only good vibes. Win or Lose, we love our Seahawks, wish everyday, everywhere could have the same vibe everyday. It doesn't cost anything to be kind, spread the love. These moments give hope to humanity, in a most f'ed up world we live in right now, a day like this reminds us to always stay positive and look forward.

A ferry terminal, with service to Seattle's Colman Dock, boards at the east end of Winslow Way. You can also find a number of public parks around the island. The last time I visited, we brought my friend's dog with us and he LOVED being able to check out all the forest-y areas. Many shops are also dog friendly. Very charming... love Bainbridge Island.

I would say, however, that at peak tourist season in August parking can be tight. There are numerous eating options. There are art galleries, artisan souvenir shops, a bakery, chocolatier, a book store, and several apparel stores. Of course there are bars and wineries. The big surprise is that this is a "Norwegian" town with flags up and down the main streets. Who knew? As you turn into the town there is a large viking statue that says "welcome" in Norwegian. There are lots of Norwegian-themed stores and restaurants. Since I've been to Norway four times, I have watched a lot Viking shows on the History channel. I have never seen any description of Vikings in the Pacific Northwest. No one in town seems to know how or why the Vikings arrived. So that a mystery to me. Overall, Poulsbo is both livable and an attractive place to spend a day as a tourist. People are friendly and happy. I understand why.

It sits on the west side of the Puget Sound - across from Seattle and has beautiful PNW views of Liberty Bay from all over the town. We love to get lunch at Tizleys Pub - their German cuisine is wonderful - traditional schnitzels and sausages and more. And for dessert, Sluys bakery is a must!! Sluy's specializes in Scandinavian pastries and "Poulsbo Bread"- a multigrain recipe which the original owner of the bakery claims he got from the Bible lol! We love to get their Angel Cream donuts and Viking cups and munch on them in the lovely water front park by the port. The waterfront park has lots of parking too and is a perfect location to start exploring from - central to the waterfront and the main part of town. The town was founded by Norwegian immigrants in the 1880s as well as many others from the Scandinavian countries. The town really celebrates its Viking heritage and is such a fun place to explore. There's even a giant 12-foot Norseman Viking statue at the town's entrance that was created by a local artist! The holiday season is an excellent time to visit - the town is decorated to the nines as you can imagine - and they even have a cute little Santa House open on the weekends with all the elves and the man himself of course. And Sluys does a really fun gingerbread house contest among its staff on display in the window. One surprising discovery is the lovely fall colors in the area - and the fall salmon runs are so big they conduct salmon tours!! So that's definitely on my agenda for our next visit!

It's an exclusively glorious part of Bellevue that reminds you how inferior your bank account balance is and gives you a glimpse of how the other half lives. That being said, if you should decide to take a walk through here on a sunny afternoon, you'll be treated to a tour of a permanent street....nay....neighborhood of dreams. Some of the most beautiful houses you've ever seen are here - and unlike the equally amazing mansions that exist over in Medina - here in Clyde Hill, they're all on display and can easily be seen without having a jump and fence and race away from guard dogs. The views from the top of Clyde Hill are spectacular. It's no wonder the houses cost what they do here. On a clear day, you can see all of Lake Washington, the entire Seattle skyline, and all framed by the Olympics in the background. Life is good here on the hill - no question. A word of advice though - don't even think about speeding through Clyde Hill. The cops here are always on the lookout and they'll get you if you're even 2 miles over. Oh, and they'll probably pull you over if your car is older than 1998 also. No reason. Just for driving an "older" car. (Seriously - heed my advice on this one.) The gas prices in Clyde Hill are a little over the top - but not as crazy as that Chevron station down on Main St. in Old Bellevue. And there's a very friendly Tully's location on the road that runs parallel to 520. By all means, take a tour through the Hill. Check out the beautiful houses and the incredible views. Just try not to look TOO suspicious, and ease up on the gas pedal. Trust me on this one.

I was grateful to find this spot on a web search with Saturday hours from 9:30-5 pm. We arrived 20 minutes after opening and waited roughly forty minutes. It was well organized and had confidence that they knew what they were doing (I was a little nervous the last time doing it at the post office since the gentleman who helped me although nice seemed like it was the first time he was finishing a passport form). Given how difficult it is to find an agency that accepts passports on a Saturday highly recommend this spot!

I'm here for you!! LeMay - America's Car Museum, vroom vroom :) There's so many fun hidden gems, and things to do. Bundle up if you're visit especially when the high is 49 to 52. Tacoma isn't perfect. Downtown, while full of fun things is also rough around the edges. As noted by signs, graffiti (sometimes artistic), and a need for improvement in general city upkeep. I'm not a resident, just a frequent visitor so I can't speak to city services and the grievances aired, but hope Tacoma continues to thrive, listen and learn. Be the change, embrace the change, and help create things you want to see happen as well as flourish. As the saying goes and is true to me, "You'll Like Tacoma!"

For a month, I've been trying to get a hold of somebody. I've called 72 phone numbers waited…read morecountless hours. Lost my phone minutes because I have black mold and I was seeing if I could get emergency housing why minds being fixed even the 211. I never got a person and that's their emergency line and one girl said we're so understaffed only one phone number in the 72 did I talk to a real person and HUD and Housing Authority bombard me with at least 10 to 15 emails a day telling me here is lists, see if you can stay somewhere else in another county would be great, but I can't talk to anyone who will facilitate that it's all recordings about enough to make you go insane. So all those advertised lists and emails at least 200 are all for nothing thanks, housing Authority thanks and when I try to contact HUD the housing Authority says well you can't they're like our legs and where the arms of the county and we do the work and they just finance it I go of course OK, thank you for letting me ventAnd
