They had a special for the month of July... sandwiches $8.00. it was a great deal so we both ordered lamb gyros. I also ordered a falafel appetizer. It was 4 falafel served with tahini sauce. They were hot, crispy outside and nice soft inside. I went while shopping in the plaza for a late lunch. When walking by I saw they were doing a customer appreciation special for the month of May, $9 sandwiches fry combo. Service was great! They were all very kind and the food was ready writhing 10 minutes. I decided not to dine in, but they have seating available in the back. I got the chicken gyro and it was delicious. The chicken was moist and seasoned well, I love the tzatziki and there was plenty on the gyro. The fry was stuffed with meat and the toppings and came out nice and hot. The fires were really good too and they made them fresh so they were piping hot which is awesome because I'm not the biggest fan of fries. Overall a really good deal and will be going back a few more times for this special. It's a steal for a date night or family outing! read more

We're frequent customers but as of late we've noticed that the portion ratios are lacking. In ordering the Gyro Pitza, it was it was pretty much all cheese....basically pita bread with cheese. What I received resembled a Chinese protein salad with about 2 ounces of lamb meat chopped into tiny pieces and a few pieces a bit larger mixed with an idea of a greek salad using iceberg lettuce and not traditional Greek dressing. The salad included bits of toasted pita bread, which I did not order, as I was trying to avoid eating any grain product, (Inflammatory food) by ordering Greek Salad with lamb meat. What a great spot for a meal! I ordered the vegetarian bowl which comes with rice, hummus, baba ganouj, tabbouleh, falafel, and salad. It was a little difficult to eat in the takeout container because of the amount of food and lack of a good fork or knife (plastic just won't do it for these falafel!). Everything was tasty, but the baba & hummus were cold which was a bit off-putting. I would have preferred those at least room temperature. My BF ordered the chawarma bowl which, for some reason, doesn't come with hummus or baba. But because I'm a great girlfriend I shared mine with him. I liked the ambiance here. At first I thought this was a take out place because the front room (where the kitchen is) is a little small, but there's so much space further into the restaurant. They have even more seating "outside" inside of what looks like a plaza. Once I walked in, I placed my order to eat there and was shown where to grab my utensils and directed where I could go take a seat and they bring out your food. I love Halal bowls and decided to see how it compared to others I've enjoyed. The bowl was very good, but the chicken was a little on the dry side and I would have liked a bit more seasoning. I'd give it a solid 8/10. The white and red sauce are very good. The red sauce isn't overly spicy, but has great flavor. GET THE BAKLAVA. I got the Walnut one and it was buttery, flakey, sweet, nutty -- everything I wanted and more! I need to try the other flavors! It is located in a centralized part of Fayetteville in the same Plaza as other stores and restaurants, making it convenient. He got a Falafel french fry Bowl and I got a vegetarian Bowl. In my opinion, the best Greek food in the area. Discovered at the NY State Fair this past summer at the recommendation of a friend. Was told "you HAVE to get a gyro from King David's if you go to the Fair." So we went, and then hubby was on lookout duty for their sign, only knowing they were "somewhere near the Midway." Well his eagle eye found them from a few hundred feet away and we hurried over to order. We both went with lamb gyros (me BBQ, him regular) and then we just stood there and inhaled our gyros, only stopping briefly a couple times to comment to each other on how much we loved them. After that day, we have since been back to their brick and mortar location for takeout and it was just as good. Have added Greek fries, falafel patties and more gyros to our list and we love it all. I've heard of this place for years and despite being in the area often (hello green lakes and target), I would always forget that this was a food option! I recently went and ordered the Mediterranean salad with added chicken and sweet baby Jesus was this fantastic. The homemade dressing was just so tasty, the salad had everything amazing in it. My family is big on Mediterranean food and King David's is my husbands favorite. His go to is the lamb gyro bowl and he would eat it every day. The gyro is always delicious and perfectly seasoned. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of experiencing wonderful Greek food at King David's Restaurant in DeWitt, NY. The cashier at the time, Candace, who is also the manager was quite polite and friendly. As it was my first time there and I was unfamiliar with the menu, I placed an incorrect order. Candace however was able to help with the change and she did so with a smile. She also provided extra sauce for me. The falafel was quite large and very good. Can I just tell you how amazing this place was? First of all the service was exquisite... My aunt and I met for lunch after my grandfather, her father passed away... So we had a lot to talk about... We were able to sit outside, which was not really outside it was in an atrium. You don't have to worry about getting rained on or anything like that and the temperature was perfect. not to mention the fact that right after we ordered and sat down literally five minutes later, our food came out and boy am I disappointed that I did not get a picture of hers! I ordered the Gyro platter with the hummus, and it comes with a salad and a falafel, which was amazing. All of it was absolutely amazing. I could not even remotely eat it all!!! my aunt got a falafel bowl, which looked absolutely incredible. She said it was absolutely amazing... After a couple of hours of talking, reminiscing, and thankfully, having amazing service... She laughed, and I continued to order a platter for my husband as well as some baklava I'm telling you if you don't order the baklava, you are so missing out! when I got the food home, he was missing a falafel, and the salad looked like there was almost none there in comparison to what I had received at the restaurant so I de call, and the manager was extremely sweet and told me that they were going to give us an order of falafel's as well as a Gyro platter whenever we come back in so you really can't get any better than this if you like food and love Mediterranean food you really need to come here because I'm telling you you were beyond missing out if you don't! The gryos were pretty good. Very filling good meat and filling very authentic Greek. My only issue was the spanakopita, maybe because I am Greek and am used to very cultural Greek spanakopita and Greek spices. It tasted fine and fresh but there was an aftertaste that seemed to remind me of nail polish remover (which is odd..). I also found a small hair in the spinach. I'm sure this was only a one-time mistake that just happened to be in the piece I was cut but (obviously) did not enjoy that. read more
