I been trying to get my deeds for propertlies purchased over a year and 1/2 ago, following all the right steps. called Adam Bulls office, over 2 week period was promised a call back on 4 occasion, and left as many messages to finally get the message that it was all just a lot of Bulls?&$. Several of the 5 or so people involved with the situation did nothing wrong. Some did intentional things to make my life a living hell. Kania Law firm, all I will say is when you make a mistake an transpose a number, and the client ask you for documentation, you should at least give them what they request to show transparency. The bottom line is I spent upwards of $30,000.00 on trying to secure deeds to multiple properties to no avail. Come along the night in shining armor Alex at King law firm and his side kick Ebony, they were fair, precise when they said they were going to do something it really happened, and if it didn't I got a call as to why it didn't. I will tell you if you have or have had an issue with getting deeds from an old company that is now gone under from Rivers Bend area called Vista Properties, then hire this Law firm they got me results within 30 - 45 days. my case work and another has most likely already set some of the foundation and ground work to help you get what you deserve. Neglectful, unprofessional, and completely incompetent We hired King Law in 2023 to help us obtain emergency guardianship of our mother, who was being neglected and financially exploited by her caretaker -- another family member. All we wanted was help protecting her and getting her the care she deserves. After nearly two years, we finally got into court in August 2025, but the firm failed to file the necessary paperwork within the four days they promised the judge they would. It's now the end of October, and we still don't have a final outcome -- not because the case was complex, but because of King Law's incompetence and complete lack of follow-through. Every step of the way, we felt like we were doing their job for them. Calls went unanswered, communication was poor, and it constantly felt like we were a burden for simply asking about our own case. This experience has been beyond frustrating and deeply disappointing. King Law has shown a total disregard for professionalism, accountability, and compassion. A simple Trust with Pour Over Will. It has been just shy of 4 years since this process started. Only one debt needed to be paid and that has been done. Our initial consultation was 2500.00 with the timeline of less than 1 year. At least 30k more has been billed... For What???? Continuances...... This company has been dragging out the process. We have had 5 different attorneys that of course have to be paid to review the paperwork after the previous one left the company. Consumer beware of this law firm. I hired a woman Stefannie Kemenga out of their Cornelius office. Once I scheduled to meet her, it became apparent that this firm was deceptive in their practices. Stefannie didnt even have her own office and was operating out of the front receptionist area. Her representation was followed by routine false promises, arriving late at the court hearing, promises of calling returning calls were routine. Nevermind the outrageous fees they charged me, and their lack of knowledge of the law. She couldnt answer have of what I asker her. read more

They did not put effort in to dig into my case and try to get me the lowest possible punishment. It was as if they just figured the charges are what they are nothing to try to do about it. Do not use this law firm. I had a open and shut case with all the evidence you would need and the lawyer couldn't even deliver. All he did was ask for more and more money. When I asked him where my money was going and why things were not progressing he got upset. He stopped responding to me and had his secretary respond to me. When I would asked for him at add something to my complaint he would ignore me. The worst lawyer I could imagine and I paid a lot of money for him. He wasted my money and my time. !!!!!DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM !!!!!! On July 26th we hired this firm and were working with Millie Shaw and Kylan Waters. We were told that the case would be resolved in about a month tops for about $2,500. We paid the amount and "they were to start working on the case." If they would have done what they were hired for we would still had our vehicle. This is because I was the one who would call and email and would not get an answer back. One time I called and the lawyer was on vacation not caring she was working on my case. On August 5 I had already translated all the documents they needed and got no respond. On August 7th I sent another email since I also called and no response. On August 13th I sent another email to see where the process was and no response this is also me calling the law firm. It wasn't until August 15th when I talked to them since August 1st.This was just to tell me they were working on a demand letter. Again I did not hear from either one of them so again I contacted them. I sent another email on August 22nd to see where the process was going and that we were struggling and got no answer. It wasn't till one of them called me on September 10th and told me the case was going to take 30 days so that the other person could respond. I got charged $200 for that phone call that was tops 5 minutes. I was told the demand letter was sent out September 9th and was not received by the other person till September 20th, 2024. So it took these "lawyers" a month to send a demand letter out!!! Rather than get to work they waited a MONTH to get a demand letter ready!!! A MONTH! This was done because I was the one pushing them. Then Millie Shaw sends me an email which then I see I got charged $500 for that email that said the same thing I had been hearing to wait they took it upon themselves to email me back paragraphs of hypothetical outcomes of the case and other legal matters I had not asked for!!! This law firm is a joke and they do not know what they are doing. The last email which has not been answered was on October 30th to have them contact me about this matter and no one has so DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE AND HIRE THEM!!!! I hired an attorney from this firm to file an expungement for me. The attorney who gave my consultation passed off my case to a different attorney. The expungement was denied because I owed $30 from the original restitution. I would think they would check to make sure the conditions of the first issue had been resolved before even filing the first expungement. Apparently not. The expungement had to be refiled at my own expense, of course. Several months later, I haven't been able to pay the bill in full although I've paid thousands over my original quote of $1000 from attorney number one. Today, I was totally shocked to be threatened with legal action although I have informed the office several times that my family is a victim of a violent crime where my son, husband and myself were all shot. I'm still facing surgery later this week. Granted, it's not their fault but they seem to have absolutely no compassion. Threats suck. I'm sure that I signed a contract stating that they could absolutely do this, it just stinks. Went to their office for a civil matter (mudslide from neighbors drive). The attorney they assigned repeatedly told me he had researched and found SEVERAL cases like mine and court wouldn't be needed and everything would be handled during mediation. The lawsuit he drew up was full of factual errors. I went King Law's office to complain about the mistakes and was told that it was just "the way it had to be legally written". Days before the mediation I get a call from King Law stating they had "parted ways" with my assigned attorney and at the mediation I find out the the "precedents" the attorney had spoken of didn't exist. The only case precedent that applied to me was completely different and my suit was a failure because of the EXACT THINGS I COMPLAINED ABOUT IN KING LAW'S OFFICE. Now I get billed every month, but don't even know who my current attorney is. I called Monday to contact them, have yet to receive ANY reply. I'm a retired mechanic, I don't know legal matters, I went to King Law for professional help, they have never even answered the original question I asked, "what are my legal options"? horrible law firm. paid retainer in July of 2024 within a span 4 months I was changed to 3 different attorneys and was not briefed of the change any of the times. in 4 months, emails were exchanged between attorneys and my child's mother and a visit to the courthouse allegedly resulted in a mediation hearing request, in which I signed. $5,000 for these services. I don't have additional money to pay if that's how much it cost to get to a court date. the mother was willing to agree outside of court; but the attorney was not trying to explain to the child's mother that a person making 48k should not be paying 1225 in child support. the only reason I forced my child's mother to file child support was so I would have rights to fight for adjustment and custody. now that king law did minimal work and minimal results also for maximum cost I can't afford to hire representation and manage the child support payments. I would suggest hiring an attorney that will represent you and not bounce you around multiple lawyers within the firm. I should have taken my retainer back when i was first transferred to a diff attorney and spoke to a manager about the issues. they asked me to trust. i missed my daughters first steps and words bc of king law. read more

They sent all the information to the wrong address to start then when I showed them there mistake I was told they would fix the mistake when I called back the caseworker had been fired for messing up two cases. The lawyer they gave me I talk to him two times before we went to court on the day I was supposed to go to court. I get a phone call from another Lawyer saying she was my New Lawyer and was coming to court that day, I didn't even know they had changed lawyers when we got into the court room. She had no clue about anything that was going on. She just read the stuff that I had told the first lawyers and the judge kept asking her questions and she kept saying, I have no answer for that. I have to get back back to you. It was not her fault. It was a law firm. It was less than one page and required a couple of paragraphs removed and a few words changed. Our agreement with King Law was for an hourly rate. They required a retainer of $500. Well it just so happens $500 was what that cost. Three quarter of a page of typing cost $500. And they spelled my name wrong on the release. We were idiots for going to that law firm. read more

I asked how long he had been in family court and his reply was " experience and skill are not important in a complex case as yours". After pushing the issue he finally admitted I was his first case as a attorney and knew nothing about family court law. The firm refuses to refund me or give me another attorney. These guys has a pretty unique set up. They are a large team of lawyers and every time you contact them or they contact you a new name is there who is pretty familiar with the case. You feel like you have hired a team of attorneys instead of just one. I am sure they are always discussing their cases between each other and brain storming.
