Kacha Thai offers an authentic and tasty Thai menu. While we arrived on a very busy night in summer and service was stretched, staff managed our expectations and the food was worth waiting for. Our group of three tried the chicken wontons, prawn kway tao, the prawn waterfall salad and sweet and sour chicken with coconut rice. Each dish was fresh, delicious and demolished :) You can't buy alcohol but the restaurant is BYO with a bottle shop only a few doors down. Our only mistake was not leaving room for dessert. The service is speedy, efficient and overall positive. The restaurant itself is small and only seats a few big groups but food comes quick so most people aren't here for long, especially in couples. The atmosphere is lacking a bit as it feels a bit cold with the tiling all around but still has a nice Asian feel with some movie posters and history of dumplings in chalk on the walls. The food is the real winner here though! The dumplings are delicious and a must buy with any other dish you choose. Portions are generous and many have a great subtlety to the flavour in some noodle dishes not usually seen in Asian food. One of my favourite restaurants in the area and would highly recommend eating here.
