Surprisingly this turned out to be a fantastic brunch! The ambiance was nice and it was shockingly elevated. It's only be open for about 8 months but it's not a typical pub. The hostess was like a deer caught in headlights and the first 15 minutes waiting for the establishment to open was a bit awkward. If I was to base our visit on first impressions it wouldn't be positive. We had pretty low expectations because I find myself getting disappointed often with the limited options in Langley however, the experience got better shortly after no thanks to our waitress who was awesome. In terms of brunches, this was overwhelmingly better than milestones or Earles. The decor is newer and has a cleaner aesthetic. The food was decent. All dishes were flavourful and fresh. The sirloin was a little tough but I've realized that I prefer a flanked ribeye more. Also, I prefer a sweet and savoury combination but they don't have an option so I have to order two entrees. I got the French toast and steak and eggs. I am curious what dinner and appys will be like so I'll definitely go back.

Best part of our experience was these great doors

The very large entrance doors are pretty spectacular! Sadly they were the highlight of our first, and very likely, last visit to King Taps in Langley. The interior is nice enough, although a bit odd with the seating arrangements. There are high tops, booths and some strange low booths with short chairs. The tables are also very small around the bar area. Our server said share plates are the way to go while eating there, but the small tables don't really make that easily possible. Our calamari was tasteless, badly clumped together and it needed salt badly after coming out of the fryer. The dip had no real taste to it as well. Our snack sized Nashville chicken sliders, haven't even been to Tennessee, much less Nashville. They had a hint of heat, but the pickle was not even noticeable. Our server wasn't overly attentive. Two gentlemen, arrived after us, sat across from us and had their beverages delivered before we even had a chance to order ours. Overall, for a relatively new establishment, with lots of staff, maybe too many, it was very underwhelming. We will not return.

Excellent sports restaurant and sports bar. Huge TV's playing multiple games and NFL Redzone for highlights. Love their happy hour menu and large selection of food varieties. Service is always friendly although a little bit slower than I'm used to but still worth it.

Oh my goodness this place is so good! The restaurant itself is huge and really well decorated. I just love the environment and the servers are really friendly. The food was sooo delicious and presented well. My favourite was the pizza, it had some honey on it which I've never had before but it was such a pleasant surprise. I loved it and would definitely order it again the next time. I also had the brussell sprouts which were really yummy and the truffle fries. The tuna was fresh and delicious. 100% recommend this place

We had a reservation for 6 pm. We were seated quickly. Our server was very good. We noticed that it is fairly dark with candles on your table. Also a very loud buzz. My wife ordered the Carbonara and I ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl. Both were good portions and very tasty.

This place is new and the excitement was real. The ambience is great and the drinks menu is extensive. It's a funny location like a strip mall setting. The food was definitely sub par and average at best. We ordered the Korean fried chicken which was dry, not at all dressed with the sauce and hard to choke down. The Wild Thing Pizza sounded appealing in the description but as foodies all four of us felt let down with the bland flavours and regretted ordering it as we searched the ricotta that was supposed to be on the pizza. The Notorious Pizza was good flavour wise but the dough itself got soggy quite fast and kept falling apart when I picked it up. I found the pizza was kinda over cooked around the crust and very unappealing so we didn't finish it. The Nashville sliders were good, but then again compared to the first three items we ordered they were much better. My expectations were low at this point so I guess I'll say they were good. The prawn tacos were also good, fresh flavour with the coleslaw. Overall, I don't think the food is a main attraction here, maybe drinks and the ambiance. I feel as a new establishment there's a lot of work to be done in terms of flavour profile and execution. Salad was average. The banana cloud 9 dessert was okay but it was just banana bread in a cloud of ice cream and whipped cream nothing extraordinary. The service was great though, our server was nice and came back regularly. We all agreed, the food wasn't good and it's not a place we would go back to unless someone has some birthday event and we really had to go back for that particular reason or unless food drastically improves.

But don't sleep on Squamish's limited-but-delicious food scene. A solid place to start is Backcountry Brewing, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bar and restaurant on the back side of the towns main shopping plaza. Since debuting in 2017, Backcountry has been a British Columbia beer darling; now, Backcountry prides itself on an ambitious lineup of limited-release beers. From the outside, the converted warehouse blends in with the rest of the industrial block. But inside, Backcountry is lively and inviting. The accents sport a tan and teal color palette. The bar to the right is decked with retro bulbs and a letterboard menu. Sound-dampening panels and camo-shaded lamps hang down from the soaring exposed HVAC. Each table is decked with a laminated BC map and mid-century modern chairs. Eighties tunes echo around the halls. My partner and I visited Backcountry after a full day of hiking, ready to chow down; we ordered a sandwich, a pizza, and a few flights. The Soprano -- Italian Sando was piled high with capicola, mortadella, and prosciutto cotto on a fluffy, poppyseed-laden foccacia. Our side of Five Guys-style, wedge-cut fries was rich and salty, and we loved each one of Backcountry's house-made sauces more than the last. The Meat Your Maker pizza was a deliciously nostalgic riff on the classic meat-lovers pizza. The thin crust stood up against the hefty helping of toppings, and the poofy cornicione paired perfectly with the exciting sauces. On the brewery side, the flights proved to be a fun deal. Across the beers, I was most impressed by the sours. Our collective favorite was the "Plan B? We Need A Plan C, D, E, We Need More Alphabets" (a basil-forward pineapple sour), while the "I'll Take You To the Candy Shop" (a peach-centric sour) and the "Might As Well Go For A Soda" (a gummy cola-esque cherry sour) were strong competitors. Meanwhile, the non-sour beers I tried were relative duds, including the "Never Taken A Shortcut Before?" oatmeal stout and the Sneaky Peach Cider. The service was friendly but somewhat inattentive throughout the meal, and the bill came to about $60 (after tax and tip). More than anything else, Backcountry satisfied -- it achieved the ideal brewery balance of fun, elevated, and casual. After our stay in Whistler, I admittedly had low expectations for Squamish, but Backcountry Brewing was a beyond-pleasant surprise, and I surely would visit again.

Whitley Niell makes a great Parma Lavender Gin that I first tried in a cocktail in Portsmouth UK. It isn't sold in Canada anymore unfortunately and was only for a short period. That was the reason I snapped up the Roots and Wings gin but I am resigned to using it for cleaning. I did try some of their other products and only the Abisnstine impressed me. I would have loved to have given a great review of their liquor but that wasn't possible. Drinking their cocktails is a different thing as they have a great mixologist. My advice- visit them, get a sample before buying, and buy only what tastes good to you. Everyone has different tastes.

The flight; You choose six from a list of about 15. They do primarily vodka, but they do have some whiskey, gin, and even am Absinthe. I was very happy with all 6 and would order them again. I won't really go into any detail about each spirit since everyone has their own preference when it comes to alcohol. What I can say is that their Old Fashioned Spirit was my favorite. The service: The person working at the time was really friendly and helpful. Willing to answer questions about the spirits and make recommendations. The distillery: It's small and due to Covid Protocols they're only accepting 6 people in the building; however, they have a lot of outdoor space to enjoy. Their pick-up truck bar is the most eye catching so that's where we sat. I'd 100% come back here and if I lived in Langley I'd probably make this place one of my go to hangouts.
