The sound goes right through the walls of my house. Do they care about their neighbors? I think I just answered that. TLDR: Been ruining my peace and quiet for years. I hoped and prayed my husband would find a church in the Buffalo area once we moved here and am so thankful God spoke to our hearts and said "This one." (Lol.) Don't be fooled by the location: Epic Church meets at a movie theater (I actually think that's awesome), but knows how to get down. If you love a strong message that's practical, filled with the Word of God, and has some humor and casual moments, this place is for you. Even if that's not your cup of tea, this place is still for you. Pastor Mark Rouse is a great preacher who doesn't spend two hours delivering a sermon (I love passionate pastors, but mama the Fruit of the Spirit leaves me when I'm hangry), but takes his time to break things down. Even though he spends 20-30 mins preaching -- which might not feel like a ton of time -- it's food for the soul that will nourish you beyond service. The majority of his sermons follow a series, and Epic provides attendees with notes you can collect, study, and go over. The sermons are also online for convenience. Another thing I love about Epic is the childcare. Unlike other churches I've been to, where kids might color and learn something about Noah and the Ark, there are lesson plans (yes, lesson plans) for the preschool and elementary age classes. (Kids are just too small in the nursery to care.) I serve on the kids' team and am constantly amazed at the thought and preparation that goes into the lessons each and every week. In addition to play time (coloring, etc.), children are leaning about Jesus, God's grace, and characters in the Bible in a fun and interactive way. Plus, there's always some craft to take home to parents. Epic Church also believes in community, both local and afar. They have outreach programs that include providing donations for nearby families in need, working with organizations (there are some great contacts to serve incoming refugees), and mission trips abroad. There are also small groups throughout the year (outreach is a focus area, for example) for your to meet new people who share similar interests. This is more than just an ordinary church that you say you attend on Sundays. It's a resource to strengthen your walk with God and challenges you to serve others. As I always say: don't talked about it, be about it -- and my how Epic does this. In case you can't tell, I really like it.

I realize this sounds like a commercial, but nobody from Epic Church has asked me to write a review or paid me to say this. I've waited a long time to write this review because I kept waiting for this "newlywed" feeling to leave, and it hasn't. I've never reviewed a church before, and I felt like if I was going to write one, I needed to be sure. I started attending Epic almost two years ago. I was drawn to the idea of church in a movie theater. In the time I've been going, we've since moved from the Dipson to the Regal. It seems a lot of people are curious about church in a movie theater because we outgrew the old place. Curious about what the service looks like before you come? They have video podcasts on their website. What you won't see in the podcasts, though, is the great modern worship that takes place before the service (music licensing laws, I'm sure) and how warm & friendly all the people are! It's very easy if you're new to figure out "how it all works." There's always a friendly face at the door, signs to direct you, and information tables along the way. You'll also find tables with free coffee and Paula's Donuts. If you have to check your kids into the children's area, that's straight back. Otherwise, the service is on your left & you can't miss that either because there is someone there by the door handing out programs as you enter. They make it very comfortable to "be new" at Epic! And really, if you have any questions, there are a lot of genuinely friendly volunteers waiting to assist you. The messages are biblical and relevant. The whole service is never longer than 60 minutes (they can't be because the theater needs the room for movies!). If you give them a chance, the people at Epic will become your family. A couple other things: The church is Free Methodist. They offer growth groups during the week in different parts of the area so you can connect with other people. There is no dress code; wear whatever makes you comfortable. Their offices are in Clarence Center if you want to talk to any of the staff during the week -- on Main Street next to Penny Lane Café. NOTE: My kids are too old to attend the children's services, but I hear kids all the time talk about how much they LOVE church! Epic has a staff member dedicated to the children's church, and she does a great job!

Leon Biernat, the pastor, sets the tone for this conservative parish. He is very active and provides clear direction for a "traditinal" Catholic environment. There are numerous active ministries for all age groups to become involved in a very strong community setting. Each of these ministries provide many opportunities for involvement of practicing ones faith. Over the past 11 years, under Fr. Leon's Pastoral guidance, there have been numerous priests (Parochial Vicars) who have beenefitted from there involvement at St. Greg's and continued on as pastors at their own assigned parishes. The St Greg's school has been one of the top rated academic schools (both private & public) in the WNY area for more than 60 years! Opportunities to attend daly mass is relatively convenient: weekdays (M - F) there are ~30 minute masses @ & am & noon each day; Saturdays provide an 8 am & 4 pm service and Sundays provide 8 am, 10 am and noon masses which are longer services of 50 -60 minutes. Currently, St Gregory is part of the "Shepherd & Saints Family" in the Buffalo Diocese. If you looking for a parish that has numerous opportunities to practice your Catholic Faith, I do not think you will be disappointed with the spirituality at St Gregory's.

It's actually oddly comfortable for a church, at least the pews are. I've sat on them for both extended wedding and funeral services in the past few years. There are restrooms throughout. Tons of parking. Easy disabled access. Large doors. While I prefer churches that are centuries old, love the feel and the history, this is a fine example of what a modern church can be.

I love this place!…read more It's out of my way, but I love the message Pastor Jerry and the others deliver; I'm happy to make the drive for it. I've never been there and left thinking "Well that wasn't worth getting up for." I love the messages and I love the contemporary atmosphere. I came from another Mega Church (Assemblies of God), but was raised on traditional Presbyterian services, and The Chapel (non-denominational) has really found a good place in my heart. The message is always pointed back towards Jesus and God, I've never heard them preach ANY sort of discrimination against any group, it's always about treating people with kindness, and they're not pushy in the least about tithing (which makes me gladly give on Sundays). In fact, while it's not ornate like the Presbyterian churches I grew up in, which I'm surprisingly cool with, I prefer it to the hip and cool Assemblies of God Mega Church I attended in my old city. The Chapel is like the matured and self confident church and made my old one feel like a pathetic, attention seeking teenager. I love it and have always felt welcomed, whereas some other churches I've felt like people are sizing me up and thinking "umm....not holy enough." Aarum still serves on the board of directors of the camp. By the way, this senior pastor worked closely with the youth. I moved back recently from San Francisco after a few years there. I see the same issue arising at The Chapel again. Please note, to read unfavorable reviews, unlike the good ones, they make you through an App. So much for transparency.

I love the way it looks in the sunlight. It's not old or gothic at all, it's a very pristine, flowery, odern looking church, which really shines in the sunlight, as I said. It's brand new-looking but it's still got a lot of class and style and grace, and is a lovely sight at sunset and sunrise. I've only been inside it once, during a walking tour of Williamsville this past Fall, and it looks brand new and smells fresh and clean (like most of Williamsville does). I like going inside churches, but I admit I do prefer the old ones, such as in the UK and across Europe.

The worship is contemporary and that includes bands such as: Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, Paul Bolosh, Matt Redman, Israel Houghton, Elevation Worship, and more. I'm a Buffalo State student and I have brought other class mates here and they wanted to go every Sunday. On Sunday mornings they have 2 services. 1-8:30 2-11:00. They also have Sunday school @10:00. There is a College and career class that meets @7:30pm on Sunday nights.
