Today my brother and myself went up there to look at a SUV after I made an appointment. This salesman name Jessie was horrible he lied about the vehicle being there and wasted an hour and half of our time. He told us the vehicle was there and he was pulling it around which took him 30 mins to do. When we finally went out there he had a completely different vehicle there which was a total piece of shit. This place was awful, or at least the salesman we got was! We came in wanting an inexpensive used car, cash in hand. The salesman greeted us and asked what we were looking for. The response was simple: something $3-5K, under 100,000 miles. He said they didn't have anything like that. We asked if they had a list, and he said no. He went on to say that they sold "cars like that" to the auction or wholesalers or something....he went on to say something about financing, which we didn't need and he NEVER EVEN ASKED how we planned on paying. He was quite patronizing and clearly had NO interest in helping us. Why were we poorly treated? Could have been a myriad of things: we came in in regular clothes, we are both minorities, we wanted a cheap car...who knows, but the salesman lost the entire dealership any future sales from us. As I mentioned, we were cash buyers. I am an educator and my boyfriend is quite financially well off. I have two adult children in the market for a car as well as a teenager I'll be buying for soon; if I am ever seeking to purchase another vehicle, used OR new, I definitely will not be visiting this place. As Drake would say 'dont do it, please dont do it.' Dont do it regardless of whether or not you like Drake. I've been to Kingdom two different times for interest in two different cars and both experiences were miserable. So I third, fourth, and fifth the disorganization everyone else has talked about. Point 1: I came in looking for a Malibu that was just over a year or two old. There were some big price variations online for cars that were really similar in year and milage. I came in to find out that a few of the cars had really severe hale damage, which was noted nowhere on the internet. Point 2: I settled on a specific Malibu that I wanted and started to go through the financing process. Not only did this process take HOURS but the salesmen and the financer constantly contradicted each other. One person would tell me one price, then the other would tell me another. And it wasnt just on the car price, it was also on the specific specs of the car. Point 3: After all the contradiction was solved I realized the starting price that I was being financed for was different than the starting price that was on the web OR that we had agreed to verbally. So, I left. I stuck with the car I was planning on trading in. I arrived for my second visit 4 months later when I was looking to pay cash for a high mileage vehicle. I scheduled a test drive four days in advance and also recieved a confirmation call for the test drive. Point 1a: It took over 45 minutes for the salesmen just to find the keys. Of course, this was frustrating since I thought that was the point of scheduling ahead of time. Point 1b: We finally get out to the car, he hands me the keys, and says 'dont worry about the mess in the back, we will clean that up for you.' And by mess I mean the car was FILTHY, there were empty liquor botles in the back, old shopping bags, leaves, dirt, you name it. The arm rest was tottally broken off. You would think that a prescheduled test drive would imply at least a standard level of cleaning out. Point 1c: I put the key in the ignition. NOTHING. The car doesn't even pretend to start. He tells me its a battery issue and goes and gets a jump. The car turns on at this point but the engine doesn't start. He spends 30 minutes playing with the key turning it forward and back and cant get it to start. While hes doing this I notice the front signal is being held on by a phone cord and the trunk doesnt close because of a spring issue. Eventually I tell him to forget about it (did he think I was about to drop a good amount of cash on a car that doesnt even start in the lot?). I ask him if I can see the Monte Carlo and the Buick that were also listed on the internet for around the same price with the same milage. He sits me back down... I wait...and he tells me the Buick is not for sale because its waiting on parts and that the Monte Carlo had been sold already. He lies. He tottally lies. In the midst of the lie he starts telling me about how he can get me in a new Sonic for 150$ a month. It was quite clear that he had looked at my income and decided for me what I could afford. I purchased a brand new 2012 Chevy Cruze, and after the sales team lied to me and told me that they had to add a $1,000 to the MSRP because I qualified for the 0% interest rate. I was driving my car last week, and the error message "A/C Off Due to High Engine Temperatures" popped up on the car. After thinking it was just a problem I should address over the weekend, I came to find out the car had no oil in it. Instead of the manager apologizing for no oil being in the car, he kept insisting he couldn't believe it. All they suggested was for an oil an filter change. An oil and filter change on a car that didn't have more that 1,500 miles. I would have figured they would have offered to replace the car, because everyone knows the engine is worn extremely without any oil in it. The manager told me as I was walking out, "You caught it just in time." I was so disappointed with my first car buying experience. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I visited this dealership to purchase a BMW M5 on Thursday 19. January 2017 and I had terrible experience , I don't know from where to start! Some of the employees started talking to me outside, while my girlfriend and I were approaching the door and direct us to his colleague (I didn't catch his name, but as the first guy said he was "BMW specialist"! He took the keys, showed us the car and everything was ok, car was in a really good condition, but I had a terrible feeling like I didn't have someone to talk about it! I asked that "BMW specialist" a few questions, while he was walking around like he was annoyed and I realized that my 6 years old daughter is a better specialist than this guy! I popped the hood and he smiled with the eyes almost closed (like he was high) "BIG ENGINE, HA HA" and I was like WTF?!? Seriously?? We went inside to talk and he put credit application in front of me and since I'm in the process of fixing my bad credit at this moment I wanted to find out more about the options I have! I asked "You guys are advertising "no ssn" or "no credit check" applications, so is this one one paper gonna make a hard inquiry on my credit score?" He said:"Yes, but why is it matter, you credit score is already bad!!" (Can you believe that?!) And than he asked where I was checking my credit score - I said credit karma and he made that confused/stupid face and his comment was: "Do you know that credit score is not truthful? They are always reporting (showing) 80 - 100 points less than it shoud be?" I don't know if this was some cheap try to get me end up with like 362526 % APR and ridiculous conditions but EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE CAR WAS BAD!!!!! After a week of asking question on the internet, they finally sent me pictures of the car I was interested in. I call and talk to a Sales person and tell him that since the car has high mileage I wanted to take it to a mechanic I know and trust. On the phone he said sure, not a problem. I get there and had to deal with a new sales person, who had no idea what I was talking about. When I told him that I was planning on doing, he took me for a test drive. Then he asked the manager about me taking the car. The manager said no. I said the guy had already told me that I could and that was the whole reason I even came down there. He went back to the manager, but by then it was too late. I was done. The car was fine, but they did not even clean the inside. It literally seemed like whoever owned it only smoked if he was in the car. There were some person CD'd in the glove box and just about as disgustingly dirty as a car can be. These guys put zero effort into their job, so its best to avoid them at all costs. Lesson learned. read more

Once I get there I spoke to a person named Ra. Ra was the same person I remember who was working on some of the paper work during the purchase so I was hopeful he would be able to help. I explained my situation about the repo and about being assaulted by their tow truck driver and was told by Ra that he would figure out what had happened and to wait at one of the desks while he pulls my paper work. After about 2 hours of waiting I approached the desk again and told Ra that I was not trying to stay another couple of hours. It was at this time I was told by Ra that the issue was they were missing "Proof of Residency" when they had submitted their paper work to the finance company and that is why they decided to no longer finance. I explained to Ra that I did indeed provide the necessary documents and at this point I pulled out the copies over everything we had sent over to the Dealership. The documents clearly showed what was submitted. I even had a Fax receipt from the dealership with a bill they had requested from my wife and I at our residence. Ra explained that he believes the sales person messed up and did not give the documents I had provided to his team. It was at this point he stated that he could try to finance again although with different rates than we had originally agreed. I polity told Ra that at this point I was not about to continue business with them and wanted to get a refund of my money as well as my trade in returned along with my personal property that was taken when the new care was repo'd based on their mistake. He had told me he would need to speak with is finance manager to get the details. So I wait another hour. I again go to the desk and tell Ra that I need to get this resolved and needed to get back to my family. He told me that they were having issues finding all the paper work and that they would fully refund my down payment and return my trade in but it would take a few days to process the money and that I would have to return the next day while they sorted through paperwork. OK, so that sounded like they made a mistake and wanted to rectify it. So I agreed to come back the next day. On the way back to the dealership the next morning I called ahead to get in contact with Ra to verify they had found all the paperwork for the deal and to see if they needed anything else from me to get this over with. It was at this time the Ra then changed his tune, he told me that I was not able to get back a full refund for the down payment that I was to be charged up to $600 for the repo fees. I reminded him of their mistake and that he had agreed to return my money as well as the trade-in , he told me "It Isn't Happening Brother" confused and now angry I tell Ra that this doesn't make any sense as you had admitted to this mistake. Before finishing my complaint he interrupts me and says, "Maybe I can help you out on another Vehicle but I can't refund your money". OK no.. I wanted my money back and I again reminded him of our conversations, now him with an attitude. He then asks me if I know how I was making him feel being upset on the phone with him. I told Ra that I didn't care how he felt as it is not my job to concern myself with his feelings. He then tells me that he can no longer speak with me and hangs up the call. I call back right after the hang up already in route on my way down to this dealership to deal with this matter in person with my wife and young child with me. Back on the phone I asked why it was he had disconnected to call. Ra tells me because I made him upset. I continue to tell Ra that I was not upset with him but of this situation and with his company that I simply wanted to get this resolved and that taking my wanting a refund as a personal insult did not make since and was in poor customer service to hang up a call when you do not want to deal with an issue. He then states he will no longer help me. Well shortly after the second hangup arrive on site. Ra quickly leaved the area as I walk directly to the Manager desk and demand to speak with someone in charge immediately to get this resolved. It was at this point I spoke with different manager. I explained that I needed to get this resolved, I wanted my trade in back today, and I wanted my refund today and would not pay for there mistakes. So I was told that I would get a refund minus the repo charges, I again show the documentation on their mistake and was told I still had to pay. I see Ra and ask him why now I am being charged for their mistake he tells me that if I get loud he would get physical and he wants to take it outside. My wife hears there and begins to tell the managers that this is unacceptable and this is a business not the wild west. I then told my wife we would contact our lawyer about this and the fees.the other manger overhears this and quickly has a check written out to me for the full amount, then my trade in is up front. personal items never back from repo. This is by far the worst dealership in the city of Chicago. It is literally a tad bit a step above those used shady car dealerships you see with over priced Pontiacs on display. The only difference with this place is they sell new, certified cars. Now let's get to why this place is a dump of a dealership. I was in the market for a used Cadillac ATS and came across two on their lot. I get to the lot and it takes them 20 minutes to find the keys to the main car I wanted, and they come back with nothing. They sold the car. So I decide to go with the next one. I came back for a test drive and to get the bill of sale to take to my bank for a loan. I am waiting for the Bill of Sale which took thirty minutes to get, which by the way, I didn't get. By this time, I am still patient. I have been in the dealership for over an hour by this point (I had to wait for another 20 minutes for them to find the keys to the car I wanted again). The salesman comes back and tells me about a destination fee that ranged from $1200 to $2000. I was like, I am not getting the car shipped to me. I am coming in to get it! So with that fake fee, that bumped the car out of my price range. I had to pass at the moment. Days later I get a call from the dealership asking if I can come in for the car. I told her the whole situation and she didn't know about the fee. She said she will call back to see if she can get the fee waived. She calls back a week later and invited me to look at the car. I asked her if they waived the fee, and she forgot about it. She wanted to call back. I said fine. I had to call back a week later to see what was going on and she said she forgot to call me and let me know the car sold. Negative star option is needed for this company. I decided to purchase a vehicle from Kingdom Chevy in June of 2019 even after reading both negative and average reviews from customers. The experience was so-so but ultimately I was pleased with my purchased. I decided to visit them again on 27 October 2020 to upgrade to another vehicle that I saw online. Ironically Cleveland (the same salesman that handled my previous purchase) was assigned to assist me again. I was able to take a look at the vehicle that I was interested in, but hadn't yet gotten a chance to go for a test drive before Cleveland wanted to calculate the total price of the purchase. He asked me for some basic information to include me social security number. I immediately informed him that I didn't need my credit ran as I had already received financing and actually had received a check for the purchase of the vehicle. Cleveland attempted to run some nonsense about how this may now work; which anyone with half a brain knows that that is BS. After I gave him a copy of my 10 day payoff letter for my trade-in, he took my keys and went outside to record the miles. After disappearing for about 15-20 minutes I received a credit alert that Kingdom Chevy had ran a hard credit inquiry. I immediately found Cleveland and asked him what the hell is going on. His response was that they were not going to be able to finance me for the vehicle that I wanted. What?!? I was already financed with check in hand! The only explanation I could gather is that either Cleveland was on autopilot from the dealership's daily foolishness or he assumed I was an idiot. After a short exchange with Cleveland and someone who identified himself as a manager, I asked for my keys and left the dealership. Please by all means avoid this dealership. Absolute worst experience ever. Came in hoping to buy a vehicle. Worked with chad first and he recommended that I get a co-signer and that they could check my co-signers credit over the phone since we live a whiles away. He recommended that I come back Monday since they were closing. Monday morning I received a call from Chad saying if I had gotten a co-signer. I said yes and my co-signers information was taken. Including my co-signers social security number. I was told I would get a call back soon after. I never received a call back from anyone at Kingdom Chevy. Concerned now, that I had given someone my co-signers social and personal information I called back the dealership. They seemed to have no clue who I spoke to and what was going on. It truly shows the communication and organization through out this dealership. Soon after Roy, a sales person I'm assuming told me the likeliness of me getting approved for the vehicle I wanted was very good and that they couldn't check my co-signers credit (even though they asked for his info on the phone) because he has to physically be there and that I should come in the same day. I asked if he was sure about the likeliness of me being approved because I live an hour away from the dealership. He continued and insisted that I come to the dealership. After driving an hour in terrible weather we arrived to Kingdom Chevy- we were waiting to be confronted and assisted at the front desk for about 5 minutes before deciding to talk to the back finance department to ask for help. I then explained that Roy told me to come in and that I brought a co-signer in to help me with the car purchase. Whoever I spoke to told me that a ton of their sales advisors left and they would have to find someone to help me. Soon after we sat for about 2 minutes before Chad arrived and told me that looking at my credit score and my co-signers score they still could not finance me for a vehicle. Hold on, wasn't I told they couldn't check my co-signers credit score unless he was physically there in person? That's a little fishy. So now I'm here after driving an hour just to sit down for 2 minutes and told I wasn't approved. If I could give this dealership 0 stars I would. 1.) They told me to come at that chances of me getting approved were likely. 2.) They couldn't find anyone to assist me even though they insisted on me coming. 3.) My wife and I were looking for a reliable used car. I did a lot of research using our insurance's car buying service and also using the CarGurus Website. I found four different vehicles in the Kingdom Chevy inventory. The prices were very competitive compared to others in the Chicagoland. We dropped in one afternoon and met with Jesse Valenzuela. He showed us the four cars. We looked them over and test drove the Camry we ended up buying. Even though we had already arranged for financing with our bank, the finance department at Kingdom offered us a better rate! We signed the paperwork and drove out with a terrific automobile. About a month ago, I was browsing through their inventory. I saw they had a 2016 car for an unbelievable price, that brought me in. I got there and talk to someone about it. They ran my credit score not once, twice, or 3 times... oh no they ran my credit 6 different times that day. When I got the information about the car I wanted they said "the car has been totaled and rebuilt, no one can give you a loan" okay??? So like why did you run my credit so much if you knew the car was salvage to begin with?? He began showing me a few more cars and finally got me interested on a 2016 Jeep Patriot sport. I wanted to walk out by then because I had been there for 3 hours, going over cars that were on my budget. He brought his "Manager" and they tagged team pressured me into buying the car. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE... I went there because the radio screen in my radio went blank after hitting a pothole... so I go to these guys I pay $135 to have it look at and that's fine and pretty typical.... they take the car to the back and come back immediately blaming it on my aftermarket subwoofers.. after telling them that the subs aren't even physically connected to the radio to cause the screen to short out... they send me back to the sound shop to be sure I come back and show them that the power and remote wires aren't attached to the radio... they say cool bring it Money we will break it down My wife takes off work only to be turned around because the service clerk that helped me wasn't there and they "didn't know if I should be charged 2 times" So I return on my off day and I reiterate it happened the moment I hit the pothole... I don't wanna pay $600 for a screen when it's May just simple be a loose connection... they say okay let us check... They call me back in and instead of checking the connections to the screen they in the trunk checking the damn amp... saying the taillight seal needs to be replaced because it's leaking water and shorted the amp out.... now keep in mind MY RADIO WORKS... it's just THAT THE DISPLAY IS BLACK.... so I'm like not possible amp powers the speakers I wouldn't have sound if that were the case.... the tech insist that he can't diagnose the screen because he isn't getting signal from the amp ‍‍‍.... We waited nearly 10 min before we were even greeted by someone. Strike 1. My son is just starting out and has no credit history. I went to Kindom for the no down payment program to find out that they do not have a no down payment plan after several hard hits to my credit and no follow up from the sales person after i left the dealership. They claimed the problem was with the bank and the storm out on the East Coast. I very upset about the lack of service and lies. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BAD EXPERIENCE! If you have plenty of money to put down they will take you money and sell you a rotten deal.While i was there 5 people that i SAW myself were returning new purchases for service issues or complete failure of the car. I had a pleasant experience at Kingdom Chevy. I went in for the Uber Xchange Leasing, Ish was my Salesman and he delivered great customer service. He created me even before stepping into the doors and asked me how he could assist me. He kept me informed of the process with the vehicle I was getting always explaining each step of the way because it was a long 5 hour long process. I got a 2016 Chevy Cruze. I love it. The reason I am giving it a 4 star is because this establishment is dirty the bathrooms are deplorable. The cubicle sales area needs something it is just not appealing, other salesmen are being very loud and unprofessional conversations seem to be taking place on the sales floor. read more

Location is very convenient. I went to this car dealership two weeks ago in May 2016 clear idea of what I wanted to buy. The salesman who approached me (Ismail) was really friendly guy in his mid-20s and understood my needs. The few options he showed me were spot on. We test drove a couple of cars. Negotiating with Ismail was not too intimidating, as he understood where I was coming from. We settled at a middle point after about 25 minutes, and then completed the paperwork. DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANYTHING!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!! -Not joking, don't come here for anything if you can help it. I wish I had have seen the other ratings BEFORE purchasing my car. I'll try to make this as short as possible. - I purchased my vehicle November 2017. I was in an accident June 2018 and my car was in the shop for 3 and 1/2 months. When I got my car back, neither of my car fob remotes were working (first fob or spare fob). I pull out the warranty packet they gave me at the time of my purchase and explained to me everything that i had covered under warranty for my vehicle. Come to find out, i don't have the warranty that THEY TOLD ME ORIGINALLY I HAD PURCHASED. It was a $10 difference on warranty prices, so why wouldn't i go up $10 more to have everything i needed covered and was told i had covered? So i asked well why was i told i had the warranty and given the packet for the warranty and gone over everything, the only thing they could do was shrug their shoulders saying "i don't know Ma'am". So I expressed to the dealership my car hasn't even been used/driven much since purchase, so they gave me low battery fobs at original time of purchase for my vehicle and i should've been compensated or something, however 10mins of going back and forth about it, they made me pay for car fob batteries. - Now here's my brakes. I take my brakes in to get looked at. And they took two hours to come out and tell me that my brakes were horrible and needed to be replaced immediately, specifically "you can't ride like this, you need to get these replaced, now we can do it, just have to order the parts for it and get your payment." The price they gave after the service and conversation over the key fobs, I walked out. No way I was going to let them repair my brakes at that price after the rude conversation and service given over key fobs. -so then I take my vehicle to another repair shop, Ranshell's, and they gave me THOROUGH details on everything that was wrong with my brakes, that it wasn't JUST my brakes, why/how they ended up like that (from time of purchase, accident and when I picked my vehicle up), and also gave me a LOWER price than kingdom Chevy did, and mind you this was to clean, and replace my brakes, and also repair the other part that was making my car sound squeaky. I was very pleased with the customer service given and care and concern for my car and safety. I gave them my money instead and WILL be back for ANY of my vehicles necessities. On 03.14.2016 I was pressed into purchasing a new car & my old car keys were held until I signed for the new car (I should have called the cops because I ended up leaving the store after 9p). I requested Indiana plates & received Illinois plates. No one assisted me with getting that fixed & I called them everyday for 2 months. After getting the new car it has airbag sensor issues on the passenger side. I took it in to have it looked @ & the staff told me they could not fix it & they told me to take it some place else. Purchased a new suv for 53k. Top of the line. I didn't notice that the SD card was missing and was needed for the navigation to work. I went in to get that resolved and they had the nerve to tell me that the card was in the vehicle when I purchased it. The SD card was never installed because I always got the error when I tried to access navigation. They wouldn't pay for another card and said I'll have to pay $240 for it. No Thanks I paid for a showroom floor car so I'll take my complaint directly up with GM instead and in the interim will put this dealership on blast with all consumer reporting sites. This is my 2nd time here at Kingdom and I was a little concern. 1st time they fix the back-end issues on my Chevy equinox, very professional with my insurance company and got the job done. 2nd time went in for a check engine light and notice on yelp they had a free oil change coupon. presented the coupon and no body knew what it was. after showing them the coupon on yelp, they gave me no hassles and honored the free oil change. nice to have a black business in the community that's not trying to rip you off. read more

I am dissatisfied with them. True enough I have a car. However they never disclosed all of the damage to the vehicle. Front panel damage, and what looks like 5-7 dents from what looks like a BB gun and the seats are filthy. I am just excited about driving off the lot with a 2019. Listen, please do your due diligence. Not to mention it took well over an hour for the car wash. I'm sure they were trying to conceal all of the damage to the vehicle. read more

I hated my car, well actually I was driving my husbands huge, gas guzzling, Chevy pick up truck. I also hate buying a car, I am the worst car buying customer ever, I know, I've heard that before. Apparently, I have highly unrealistic ideas about how much I want to pay for a car. When my husband, Hkeem, told me he had found a car for me, I didn't believe him. I doubted, very seriously, if he could find what I was looking for. He showed me the car and, I although I really liked it, I wanted to see something less expensive. There was NOTHING that compared to the car he had chosen for me. When the dust settled, I had a lower payment, lower insurance, better gas mileage and WAY more features than I had before. I hadn't really paid attention to the car before I bought one (Nissan Rogue) but, it has absolutely everything my former Mercedes truck had (except the video screens in the seats) at a fraction of the cost. Hkeem really listened to what I was trying to accomplish, and he came up with an answer for me. I call him all the time telling him how much I love my car and how great the experience was. Horrible salesmanship. I spent over an hour hoping to reach a deal on one of two different vehicles from their website. The salesman was so hung up on talking numbers and never let me see the actual vehicles or test drive. He kept making me wait only to come back with more questions about the numbers. Had he let me see the actual vehicles, I may have been enticed into agreeing to a price, but never before seeing the product. The same thing happened to me about two years ago at this place. I was skeptical about going back, but I really wanted to see the Land Rover and a Tahoe. Just like two years ago, I eventually will buy what I'm looking for, but great customer service will get my purchase, not this substandard number-hungry establishment.
