Yes we are a hostel, but what's in a name? Boutique Hostel, Design Hotel, Budget Accomodation, we don't like to think inside the box. We call it Kingkool!
Located in the hart of the city in a national monument, Kingkool is the perfect location if you are looking to visit The Hague. Kingkool offers many different types of accomodation, from your dorm rooms to a private suite, it's all up to you. Have a look at our rooms to see what we mean.
In addition to our 18 different rooms, we have a fully equipped guest kitchen, a super comfortable lounge, a fully stocked bar, a movie theater and our epic terrace for chilling outside.
The location is perfect, the rooms are surprisingly nice, the price is right and the vibe is good. You're crazy if you book somewhere else, good luck finding better value for money.
History
Established in 2014.
After travelling around the world 3 times and visiting many countries, surfing epic waves and sleeping in heaps of hostels, I figured out that The Hague was in need of a quality hostel. It all started in a surfcamp in Portugal on a small piece of paper with some friends, a BBQ and lots of port.
The search for the right location wasn't easy and it took a long time, some failed attempts and a few dissapointments before we stumbled across the perfect location. Super central, public transport on the doorstep, music venue across the street, everything within walking distance, our monumental building is the perfect location for a hostel in The Hague.
The whole permit phase of the project seemed to go on forever. A long wait for a zoning plan of the city and then the paper battle started for all the permits. In the end it took about 2 years of preperation to finally open Kingkool. When all the legal stuff was sorted we started renovating our monumental building. Have a look at the result
