This small, boutique hotel on a residential cul-de-sac has easy access to the tube (yes, my husband made me ride a stinkin' subway while I was on vacation) and is an easy 5-minute walk to Harrods. Location doesn't come cheap, especially when you're traveling on the pathetic American dollar, but Knightsbridge might arguably be one of the more expensive neighborhoods. Considering this, the Beaufort really is an exceptional hotel for the price. We upgraded to a deluxe room to get a king-sized bed, but the room size was very comparable to the double our companions were in. The bathrooms in both rooms are unusually large and very modern. The rooms were clean and well-appointed with a writing desk and sitting area. The beds were comfy with nice linens. Complimentary bottled water was in the rooms, as well. The complimentary afternoon tea and scones was a very nice touch. You could opt for service in either your room or the lounge. I was surprised to see an open bar available every evening as well. There was a nice selection of spirits, too. I would have preferred breakfast to be included in my rate over cocktails, but that's probably because I was not able to drink for much of the trip. And speaking of breakfast, their continental breakfast was very nice. Your choice of beverages, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and breads. Best croissants I had on my entire trip! I believe it was somewhere around £14. A hot breakfast was also available. We are planning a return trip to London in the next year, and may very well find ourselves staying here again!

Still nothing but good words for the things they do well at VU. Hardly any hassle getting through the door, they hadn't oversold the place (which they might have been tempted to do) and the single bar coped well with the demand. Getting out was no hassle too. It all seemed a little too easy. Importantly though, the acoustics here are great and it was a really enjoyable gig. Yes I have big crush on Kate, but there's no bias in this review. Honest. I'm very tempted to get tickets for whoever else is playing here soon...

The rooms and the staff are both beyond lovely. The food at their restaurant is also fantastic and there are many vegan options including several desserts. It is a very special place to visit. Getting to C&H can be a challenge with luggage or young children in tow unless you drive or Uber. The Kew Bridge train station just across the Kew Bridge from Kew Green/C&H and the Kew Gardens Underground station when coming from London have many steps to negotiate so as to make them impractical options. That said, a kind local woman told us a clever trick for avoiding the pedestrian bridge steps of the Underground Kew Gardens station--stay on the train to the Richmond station (which has a center platform) and then ride the train back to Kew Gardens. Upon returning from Richmond (a short ride), you are now on the C&H side of the platform with no need to cross over the pedestrian bridge with its many steps. You will walk about a mile from the station to the hotel or you might just Uber the remaining distance. The staff members of the C&H are very friendly and helpful. The room (in our case, Room 7) was clean, bright and well appointed. Ours was a ground floor accommodation, but there is an elevator for higher floors. The room was quiet and dark enough for a good night's sleep. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower with overhead and handheld options. There is a television, a small, well-stocked refrigerator and a radio. Lighting and electrical outlets are plentiful. The double bed was quite comfortable. We had dinner at the C&H restaurant which operates on the ground floor in the front of the establishment (you actually walk through the restaurant to get to the reception desk of the hotel). After sitting at an outside table for a bit, I went back inside and ordered drinks and food. Our food was quite good (fish and chips for her, chicken for me) with an excellent selection of drinks from their full bar. I recommend the Camden Hells as a solid local beer option. Our stay came with breakfast. The C&H has a full breakfast menu and we left satisfied with the options available. We asked for (and received) a late check out so that we could spend the morning at Kew Royal Botanical Gardens before our departure. Kew Gardens opens at 10 am and is a 10-minute walk from the C&H. The Elizabeth Gate of Kew Gardens is located behind the church across the road from the C&H. We spent two hours in the gardens, but could have done much more. Do not miss the Palm House (scheduled for renovation in 2025). There's an ATM next to the Sainsbury's grocery just across the Kew Bridge on the left-hand side as you approach from Kew Green. As an unexpected added bonus, there is a recent Banksy artwork displayed on the side of a building in Kew Green next to Kew Bridge. It is a five-minute walk from the C&H. If I have any compliant, it would be the rate. The hotel says that you will receive the best rate by booking directly through them. I did, but later discovered a better rate. As with most things, it's best to shop around. As you might have guessed at this point of my review, I highly recommend the Coach & Horses for your next stay in the greater London metro.

Very modern and warm feel to the place. Have already booked next stay at the one next door just to compare. But they appear same from outside and the breakfast room for all is served in the Clarendon (middle of these 3 hotels).

However, as usual, they didn't provide enough towels, and couldn't be bothered to bring them - that would be your job to come and collect them downstairs. Another thing I didn't like they only had one variety of tea - in premier inn I was staying before they often have decaf, green tea, herbal teas. Our hand soap bottle wasn't working too.

My only complaint about the room was the shower: it had a very high step into it, as in the floor of the shower was not level with the floor of the bathroom. If I were 65 or older, might have had an issue. The shower also had a slow drain. That happens sometimes. We enjoyed the full English breakfast buffet, bundled with price of our room. Amazing selection of tea, coffee, danish, and hot food! Really good for the price and better than I expected from hotel food. The restaurant staff and the hotel desk staff were top notch. The woman at the front desk was so kind and so sweet. She was probably the most amazing front desk staff I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. She went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and make sure we were comfortable. The only thing I can say is that there is no elevator. But that is a given since this hotel is located within a residential area.

It was an amazing home base for the five days of stay. The window bench had a nice fixed spot that was great to work on and the bed was so comfortable. I loved the scent of the shower gel and hand soap. Staff was really friendly especially on check in and check out with quite a few of our group staying. On the last day, really appreciated how short a trip it was on the Elizabeth line to Heathrow.

We arrived in London on an early morning flight, so we got to the hotel way before check in. The staff welcomed us and was happy to store our bags while we spent the day exploring the city. When we returned after dinner, the staff had our keys ready and had already delivered our bags to our room. When we got to the room, we found a lovely plate of chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us...a wonderful surprise. Our room was small, but about what we expected for London. The room had everything we needed and was nicely appointed. The beds were comfortable and bigger than we expected, which was a godsend considering there were four of us. The bathroom was spacious, even with multiple people using it at the same time. The thermostat only gives a few degrees of temperature control, but it was enough to keep us comfortable. The location was great for us. We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, but still close to transportation, restaurants, and coffee. And that's exactly where this place is...we saw far more business commuters and locals than tourists, found numerous restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and bus stops within 2 blocks in nearly any direction, and about a 5-minute walk from a tube station. On the negative side, the staff wasn't always great at responding to pre-arrival communications. The front desk staff's advice was hit-or-miss; seemed to depend on who we asked. Our reservation was for 4 people, yet our room consistently provided only 3 bath towels. And, when we received our receipt at checkout, we found a charge for $4.54 for a beverage, which we knew nothing about. But again, our overall experience was very nice. We have no trouble recommending the place, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
