Wonderful place to celebrate family gatherings. Two birthday girls and welcomed family and guest. We sat in the back area by ourselves so we could be as boisterous as we'd like without bothering other diners. It was a party after all!! Trey was the best server and very friendly. Soup, appetizers, hibachi diners and sushi. All you can eat if you desire. Beef, chicken and shrimp. Also available is al a carte if you don't have a big appetite. Parking is available. But it was a tad crowded since shared parking is with numerous other businesses. Enjoyed by all!!

WE LOVE KINGS SUSHI!!! they make the best sushi in charleston hands down. and they're reasonably priced!

This is our new go to place for Sushi and Hibachi. I love the All you can eat and my son loves the Sushi. The dinner prices are a bit high but the lunch prices are great. They are not open on Tuesdays as we learned. We've been twice in the last month. The first time the service was impeccible.. it was during the dinner hour. The second time the service was terrible. It was during the lunch hour. She must have been new but she didn't check on us often enough, never refilled our drinks and messed up our ticket. In the end however, we got all we needed and had the ticket fixed. Everyone has to learn and she looked overwhelmed. The Ambience of the place is nice. Clean and just the right lighting. He tables were big enough for comfort. We go here often so I probably have a prior review of our first visit.

The best lunch and dinner all you can eat sushi I have had! There are so many rolls to choose from and you can order anything off of the menu, including appetizers, entrées, non-sushi items, specialty rolls, basic rolls, soup and salad! All of the servers there are pretty young, but they are full of life and very energetic. The rolls are delicious and worth every penny. Every time I've gone there it is packed, but the turnover is pretty quick, so there is really never a wait. I wish there was more bar seating.

Service is always great. I forgot the young man's name. Great service. The lunch buffet was good. It's a buffet in the sense that you can eat until you are full. You order as you go . Sushi, appetizers main entrees and desserts. Everything hot and fresh when brought to your table. It is enjoyable.

Came here with a friend and couldn't pass up the All You Can Eat for just $25! I mean LEGIT AYCE: appetizers, sushi, entrees. Next time I need to come with a bigger appetite because there were so many things I wanted to try. I was pleasantly surprised with the BANANA ROLL - crunchy banana that gave the roll the perfect subtle hint of banana.

Everything is great about this spot def my go to lunch spot when eating out, fast friendly service, great food, great price!

Amazing sushi!! Especially the banana sushi one. The best ever!! I totally recommend it. Lunch all you can eat is $16.00 Not bad for awesome food.

Fine selection of various Japanese dishes, from fried rice and squid salad, to sushi, sashimi and plenty of rolls. All served in slightly smaller portions and on an eat and order basis. It's AYCE for $ 22.95 at dinner, slightly less at lunch. All they ask is that you be mindful and not over order so as to reduce wastefulness. I left there very satisfied. The staff were courteous and the wait between orders was minimal. If you like sushi and you have a big appetite this place is definitely for you! Note: Sashimi is extra, $.75 per slice, which can add up fast if you're into raw fish without rice.

To start we ordered the trio: guac, queso, and salsa + chips and the quesadilla. The Trio was good, about what you'd expect for chips and salsa at most places. The quesadilla was quite good as well. I ordered the Lobster roll (forgot complete name) and the Tsunami roll. Both of my rolls were incredible. They were very nice, 10/10 rolls. The fish was fresh, and the flavors were on point. All of my friends also enjoyed the rolls they ordered. I also ordered the fish collar tacos, which is easily the best bang for your buck on the menu. The plate only costs $14 and it comes with 2 fat fish collars, not sure what species, forgot to ask, if I had to guess I would say grouper or cobia. These collars are beautiful fried and loaded with meat. Additionally the plate comes with some lettuce, cilantro, lime, pineapple pico, sauce, and 3 flour tortillas. If you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty to separate the meat from bone, you will get three very very filled fish tacos and have meat to spare. Needless to say, the fish collar tacos were delicious and very well priced. All in all, I had a good time; the service was phenomenal, drinks were constantly being refilled, and there's really nothing to complain about. Great experience!

Sushi was flavorful, large pieces of fish and tasted fresh. Our server was attentive and provided excellent service. The restaurant has nice low lighting and has a welcoming atmosphere. My rating is reflective of the cleanliness of the restaurant. We walked in and almost turned around and walked out because the smell was so overwhelming when you walk in. Now, Charleston itself has a slight smell but it's very unappetizing to walk into sour/fishy smell. We decided to push through and try it because it was down pouring. The restroom is a single room, gender natural restroom. It was gross. The floors were sticky and slippery. Again, the food and service were great but I'd suggest giving a little extra attention to the cleanliness. They do offer a good lunch special. That was a bonus.

The only good news is the lady/hostess with the glasses is equally rude and snarky with everyone so at least you can rest easy knowing it's not just you or personal lol. All jokes aside, she really needs someone to teach her basic customer service skills and how to speak to people. She is very aggressive and comes off very rude and flat out mean. To her she may not think that and I am giving her the benefit of the doubt here because she really does lay it on really thick. It's sad too because the sushi, Hibachi, and food here is actually good hence the 3 stars. We dined in and the place was decently clean and looked okay but it was dead and empty and I can only assume it's from all of the negative reviews about the customer service. I honestly don't foresee this place lasting too much longer if she doesn't either get help or get better training on how to speak and interact with customers and I am just talking about the mere basics here of customer service nothing else.

We had a wide array of items which included their caviar service, fresh oysters, crab claws and some appetizers including their fried oyster slider and a unique oyster appetizer. All of these were DELICIOUS! Their caviar service was one of the best I've seen, the oyster slider was delicious and my only complaint is that the oyster itself was small. The oyster appetizer was unique but had great flavor with the old bay seasoned crackers. For entrees I had the cornmeal friend fish. It was a great size price of fish, came out hot and fresh and fried to perfection. It does come on a bed of cream corn, but there were no real side dishes you could add or order. So it was filling, but not as hearty as other meals. I also asked for a sauce to accompany the fish just to break up the taste and texture a bit void of a true side. For dinks we had one off menu and I had them make a traditional whisky sour. Both good. This place came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. I would make it a stop on my next visit.

I appreciated how they filled their spicy tuna rolls with chunky pieces of fish instead of the usual ground tuna used in other sushi restaurants. Their offerings and methods of preparation, paired with their higher price point, suggests they are a higher end establishment. However, the atmosphere was undoubtedly on the casual side, and their service, although friendly and knowledgeable, exuded a lack of experience and the same attention to detail that they put into their food. This was especially apparent after coming from eating at other restaurants in a similar price bracket, where you can sense the waitstaff had a lot of pride and passion for their craft, and it didn't feel like it was just a job for them. In contrast, our experience at Shiki felt far more transactional, and lacked that "customer obsession" and genuine warmth. That said, it's difficult to judge a restaurant's culture just from a single night, and maybe other customers had a different experience from us. Ultimately, if good sushi is your priority and you are willing to splurge a bit, Shiki meets and even exceeds that bar.

They exist, but some of the best are so unassuming you can walk right past them. Shiki is exactly that kind of place--a small, warm, inviting restaurant tucked into a strip mall that feels like a neighborhood secret. Loc, our waiter, greeted us as soon as we sat down with water, a friendly welcome, and a helpful walk-through of the menu. We started with wine and sake--always a promising beginning. The first course was seaweed salad with baby octopus, and I could have happily sipped that dressing like a cocktail. Light, bright, perfectly balanced, with tender octopus that added just the right bite. From there we decided to sample our way through the menu and ordered a lineup of rolls: Spicy Yellowtail, Spicy Shiromi, Rainbow, Spider, Lemon Salmon, and Eel. Each one seemed better than the last. The Spicy Shiromi was the clear standout--absolutely spectacular. What really sets Shiki apart is that every roll has its own distinct flavor instead of the one-note sameness you find at so many sushi spots. You can tell real care goes into the preparation. If you're searching for fresh, thoughtful, genuinely delicious sushi, don't overlook this little gem. Shiki is the real deal.
