I knew it might just be a raging migraine but you don't want to mess around with a possible stroke. I got to the emergency room and my husband and I were ushered right to a private curtained area and examined. They ran all the labs and placed IVs and started monitoring my heart in just a few minutes. They turned the lights way down for me because I was very light sensitive and the headache was terrible. Everyone was quiet and respectful while also doing their job. From the nurses to the residents to the attending I felt well treated. A few hours later the headache subsided and they suggested I get MRI and cat scans to see if there had been any brain involvement. The tests were right in the hospital and there was no waiting. Finally, they suggested that I stay overnight because they like to keep heart monitors on for 24 hours after an event. I knew by then that it was really only a vicious headache, but I choose to follow medical advice and stay to be sure. My overnight stay and care of the hospitalist was actually relaxing. Everyone was so nice and caring and BONUS I got a break from my 3 small children at home for one night!! I would recommend this hospital highly.

I tried to reply that in my vast experience it *does* help me by shortening the life of the cold sore, but he cut me off to explain it was useless because the virus is internal so I need the pills (which is like hitting an ant with a hammer imho), thereby vetoing my request for a cream. But the research is in, the cream works. The next kick in the stomach was when I asked him if the pills would be helpful, even if the cold sore is a couple of days old. He smirked at me and took several seconds, inhaling deeply and letting out a long, condescending laugh. As that finally tapered off, he refreshed his smirk, looked at me with exasperation, as if I were incredibly stupid, and said, "How would I know that? I don't know how long it's going to last!" That wasn't even my question! It felt to me like deliberate cruelty, almost like a performance. He ignored me when I tried to respond, turned on his heel, and walked away shaking his head. Why does someone like that work in medicine? Does he treat men like that, too? Doesn't he know that people who come to him are suffering and already humbled? Apparently he doesn't care. Although only a few cardio doctors practice here, this place has been known to transfer some patients out for further evaluation. Times and availability of appointments is well-maintained and the doctor can generally handle all patients during their working hours here. The office does a fine job too. They get back to your questions in a reasonable amount of time in a courteous manner. I've only had it happen once that they lost my paperwork, or didn't realize who was this elderly person's health proxy of which papers were signed only the week before. I do feel confident though about this business. Between the water fountain in the lobby and the handicapped-styled wooden ramp(only) leading up to the business, they both make for interesting and comfortable visits for all here. The ramp seems to always be superiorly cleaned no matter what time of day it is). Check though on the Springbrook Medical Park's Yelp website, as he businesses access road is very bumpy, but the parking lot doesn't have this problem but is way too big. If you need to find a daycare place for your young children, take them to an external location after calling up daycare agencies in the local phonebook(or take them to your own daycare person). This center is not suited for young children, due to possible mis-use by kids, and accidental injury. The minimum age a person can be for this center is 18. While working out, this place does have a TV. Catch up on the day's news. It's always on a news channel of some sort. Yes, they do have lockers which you can rent for the day. Borrow a key, but make sure to return the key at the end of the day. As far as record keeping, when I last attended this center(when money&time were better suited to my schedule last:2004) they kept your records in a file-cabinet in the room. Enquire within, if this is still the case.
