It (in my limited opinion on the matter) is the classic definition of an English pub trying to compete in modern times: loud, crowded, booze, and a slight hint of hunters lodge with all the refinement of a city restaurant. The food was excellent; we had the Cod special and Sausage with Mash. Plated beautifully, obviously by a culinary school graduate, with complementary flavors that sung from the fork notes of a song that romanced the panties off me. Maybe it was three pints of IPA, maybe it was my appetite, but certainly our meals deserve credit where credit is due. Kudos to the cooks!
