Heard so much much about this local dive, I had to bring the fam out and check this place out. Every time I drive past this place in the evening, the parking lot is full. I always look at cleanliness first, which is so huge for me. A+ for that, no question. We were seated right away, basket of popcorn right off the bat, service is tip top. Very friendly, very fun vibe inside, love the scent of food in this joint, just has the aroma of that old school pizza parlor in the air. Wings were sauced very generously, probably on par with the top 3 wings I've had, very plump in size, plenty meat on the bone. Not easy to find a dive that has great wings. The thin crust of the pizza was very delicious, we're big thin crust fans, and this pizza was on point. My wife had the turkey club, and do they pack that deli slice turkey in this sandwich, yes they do. We brought food home, but snacked on it later that night, and it was just as good. If you're wanting to beat the rush, I recommend you come around 5ish. This place has a family feel to it, which is a plus for me, this may be our family night spot going forward. read more

A great time amid the confusion at what appears to be a premier pizza/ burger dive on a Monday night. The pizza was great. The boneless wings very good but the honey bbq sauce wasn't for me. PRO TIP: You may want to avoid meal times. They do get jammin' We show at 5:45. Just a glass of water until we can get a handle on their wonderful menu. Ten minutes to get water sucks and sadly, we can't get our s*#^ straight so we need a minute. Don't do that. Twenty minutes later I walk over and ask this older lady, that looks to be in charge, if we've offended the server. She ghosted us. Now the server appears and apologizes. Claims she's hopping, but it's her bad, still she's sorry. I told her to let it go, no harm, here's my order. That takes thirty minutes to come out, but in the meantime at least the boss lady has stepped in to refill water and the complimentary popcorn. The server is also updating us on our order, up to that point. This joint is a wildly fun hangout. Very loud. With a very robust atmosphere. Ironically, we spent almost 90 minutes in there just eating and yucking it up with the boss and the server. A very funny pair. I really believe our next visit (under calmer circumstances) will yield 5-stars! 7/24 read more

Tried to order pizza. On line is down and when I called I was placed on hold 3 times, then hung up on. Tried to call 3 times with constant answer "Please Hold" to never have anyone ever pick up to place an order. Horrible experience trying to order pizza. Evening busy customer service would say three attempts to respond should put me in rhe queue to place the order rather than rotate over and over into no response. Will be a while before, if ever, that I will use this business. read more

Been here a few times on our friends side of town and always enjoy it. Never remembered to do a review haha. So here we go. It's a pizza joint. But it has a lot more. We haven't had anything we didn't like. Great drink specials. Great food specials. Lots of choose from. Great appetizers. We started with loaded tots and chips. Both delicious. I got there for our UYE a little early and man, was I super hungry! Thankfully the server quickly brought over a generous bowl of freshly popped popcorn and got me a pint of their Kingy's Ale. (Pretty good brew, btw.) Upon arrival of my co-diners, Gwen W., Gail R. and Marlena L. things got rolling. Now do yourself a favor and get yourself a basket of their deep fried breaded mushrooms as an appetizer. They are crispy, golden brown nuggets of fungus-y goodness and frankly, were probably the best part of my dinner. And speaking of dinner, they have a big menu. My eyes focused on one of my favorite pizzas, their White Pizza and theirs was good, but not great. If you're not familiar, it's a no sauce pizza where you get two toppings of your choice (mushrooms and onion, just so you know, Mr/Ms nosy). It comes on a crackery Central Ohio style crust and there's a good amount of toppings but then again, it all seemed to lack flavor. A couple shakes of salt helped... Gail R. seemed to be the big winner with her 1/2 rack of ribs. They were moist, tender and that meat just fell off the bone. She seemed to be totally pleased with her order. Keep that in mind, folks. Kingy's is a good, casual place and it's a busy place so come early as they can really get popped after about 5:30. The service was good and the food came out pretty fast for how busy they were. We have visited twice pre-covid lockdown and twice again post covid. I've written a lot of restaurant reviews that I felt obligated to mention they were written during the Pandemic. However, this is one of the first reviews I have done in 2023 where I think everything was the same before and after. We mainly have ordered pizza, wings, and beer on our several visits, so I will branch out soon, but each time it was excellent and the service has been great. We have went during peak and off times and they have had plenty of staff who seem happy to be there and give great service. The pizza is your typical Columbus style, or sometimes called Party Cut, it has always been hot and tasty. I'm more of a wing expert and these buffalo wings are very good! I believe they are fresh not frozen, and this is close to an Anchor Bar tasting sauce. Both have been served quick and hot each visit! I haven't tracked prices, but it appears to me they have raised theirs less than some other places. When we visit again I will expand our menu choices. read more

Food was really nothing special, at minimum it was about a 5 out of 10. We had a leg pepp, hot wings and that's all. When we arrived to get a seat, the teenage girl, yes, teenage girl asked "how can I help you?" Well, that was weird, maybe you could seat us? Clearly we needed to be seated. Our pizza and wings took close to 50 minutes to arrive. Our server never gave us an update after about 25 mins, yes that long. She stated the drive thru was really busy. How that affects me I don't know. All the while you get to watch the teenage girls play on their phones and not even help the servers or clean up the trash on the tables and floor. They were enjoying their coffee drinks and phones! I get trying to introduce a job to a teenager, but they acted like it was lunchtime social hour at school rather then actually working. Never going back. The teenage girls in the front of the establishment is not a good look! I will spend my money elsewhere where there is professionalism when you enter the establishment! read more

The servers are always amazing and polite. Even the drive-thru they are so quick and they smile. Bonus they all SPEAK. I've gone to other Mcfast places and they don't say anything except the total amount of money owed. No thank you, no pull forward, nothing. Just back to their phone. So well done Kingys! Disappointed is an understatement. I've always heard how "Great" their pizza was and I never thought so but it had been 10 years since I had it last. ANYWAYS, was at the Diley Hill Animal Emergency which is right next door to kingeys and we were hungry. We ordered a large 2 1/2 topping pizza and it was $25.00. I thought that was a little expensive but I'll pay almost anything for a good pie. We ordered half pepperoni bannana peppers and the other half pickles, onion and sausage. I always specify LITE CHEESE AND EXTRA SAUCE...ALWAYS. and I make sure they repeat the order back to me. When I opened up the box all I saw was CHEEEEEEESE....and lots of it. Now for most people they would be in Seventh Heaven, me however was not...nor was my family. We are a plant based family and try to limit our dairy intake to as little as possible. I know some of you are saying "if you don't like dairy don't order pizza". Thats not the point here...the point is my order is WRONG and EXPENSIVE. Not sure how to describe it but I am craving it now the day after visiting. It's a little more on the sweet side but not as sweet as others I've had. I will say that my eyes were bigger than my stomach this day LOL. This place is super divey. They give you a basket of popcorn for starters. I always heard that they had fantastic spaghetti so I decided to try it. The spaghetti dinner was great and all that comes with it. I also had the chicken wings and Buffalo chicken pizza both of which were very good. I also had the Ruebert sandwich, which was very subpar. I'm a big Reuben connoisseur and I can say that I would never get it again. I would recommend this place for the spaghetti dinner, chicken wings and pizza, only if you are in the Canal Winchester area, it's nothing to rave about or drive far to try, but it is good. read more

We frequent Kingy's every so often. The past three times have been disappointing. We ordered Buckeye Balls as an appetizer and were given regular pretzel bites without asking if we wanted the substitution and still charged us for the price of the one we had ordered, which was a little more expensive. The girl just shrugged at us when we asked why we weren't notified of the switch. We also never get ranch with the loaded fries that we order. One time we were told she would have to charge us... ummm the menu description says ranch is included? The most recent time, we ordered a calzone that is basically only cheese and plain bread. There are two pepperonis in one side of the calzone. It also barely has any seasoning on top. So I paid for a calzone of plain bread and cheese. Frustrating. We won't be back. read more

This place is hopping on a Saturday evening both inside and with the drive-thru wrapped around the building. There is a reason for this...... because this place is FANTASTIC! Not only is their pizza some of the best in Central Ohio, but their customer service is amazing. I've never had bad service on any of my visits here. During this most recent visit, our waitress took great care of our large party and had the assistance of the manager on duty who was also busting his butt to ensure every table was running smoothly. Even while they were slammed, our drinks stayed filled and all our orders came out expeditiently. The food was great!! The Service was terrible!!! We ordered online and on the phone for pickup. We picked up the food and paid. We drove home and one persons food wasn't in the bag. We called and they let us drive back and pick up the pizza they had made for us. They said we are sorry........ No Coupon for future discount no current discount. Gas prices are very high and no consideration given for this.. We wanted to sit down with our children and grandchildren but one grandchild didn't have her food. So they are no better than McDonald's drive through... Wait a minuet, McDonald's gives us coupons for free food when they make a mistake. I've been to Kingy's a handful of times but this was the first time they cooked our pizza perfectly! I usually have issues with crust that is too crispy, however, I'm happy to report that the pizza was amazingly chewy with a slight crunch on the outside. I've been meaning to come here for a long time, but the location and hours conspired against me. Today we happened to be in Canal Winchester, so figured we would try it out. Heck, it's even a haul from CW. It is way out of the way even when you're down this way. It's a nice place though: big, with a nice patio, and a welcoming interior. Very much a sports bar feel. The starter was a letdown: stale popcorn. But service was great, and the rest of the meal was pretty good. We talked about the BLT pizza, an apparent regional specialty, but passed this time. I was there for the ribs, and Sweetie had a personal pepperoni pizza. Her pizza was fine overall, but both of us thought that while the pepperonis were great the crust was very bland. My half slab came with good coleslaw and decent fries. The ribs were of the saucy, "fall off the bone" type, but among the best example of it that I have had. The sauce was quite good, flavorful and slightly spicy. The meat itself actually had good smoky flavor. And while eating meat that barely stays on the bone is difficult and even more messy than with most ribs, this was still "toothsome" as I call it, with a bit of resistance to it. I enjoyed them and would have them again. Prices are good, as are portions. If I lived nearby I'd come once in awhile. As it is, maybe on a visit to the Hocking Hills or something; it's a heck of a haul. read more

Took advantage of a groupon to take the in-laws to Kingy's since they live in Pickerington. It's set up like a sports bar, but it's relatively quiet so family friendly. Plenty of TVs but they're too small, so you can't really see the scores of the games. The beer list is so-so. Could use more microbrew. We ordered the pretzel bites, Mexican pizza, Kingy's Special Pizza, and Kingy's All the Way pizza. The pizza toppings are good, but the crust and sauce are relatively low on flavor. I thought they skimped on the cheese as well. So if you get a fully loaded pizza like the Kingy's All the Way, you'll like it. But if you got a plain cheese pizza, you might not be as satisfied. I thought the pretzel bites were good, but my wife was disappointed that the nacho cheese is the artificial store bought type... Overall though, the food here is very reasonably priced, so I can see why this place is relatively popular among the locals in Pickerington. read more

The service is always efficient, there is a drive-thru beverage carryout and ice cream parlor adjacent to the restaurant (I use the drive-thru carryout all the time!), and the service is always very pleasant.
