I like this place. It has many options of sandwiches and pastries to choose from. It is clean inside. All of the workers are kind and make sure you have what you need. They have two mini tables outside. It's always the places I seem to like that have limited seating inside. The tables are close. You can get all the tea from the next table if you wanted. It's definitely a space for surface conversations. I am going to go back. Their café con leche is delicious. Heads up they add a lot of sugar to it though. The true latin way. I would recommend to request light sugar.

While on a house-hunting trip to Central Florida in late February for a planned relocation from Central Texas, my wife and I discovered Kinka's when we checked out Yelp for Cuban cuisine options off I-75 north of Tampa. Located in an unassuming spot off a busy road next to a barber shop, its nondescript facade belie amazing flavors inside. When back home, I would roast a pernil for special occasions...so I was looking forward to trying their pernil. As luck would have it, they had pernil and I ordered a combo meal with yellow rice and fried plantains. My wife ordered a Cuban sandwich. The portions were quite generous and I was asked if I wanted some crispy skin...of course! The pernil was very good and so was the yellow rice. My wife liked her Cuban sandwich and the crustiness of the bread. Awesome flavors, friendly service, generous portions and good value...this place checks all the boxes! Lunch for 2 with sodas came out to just over $31 with tip! Follow up: Since our first visit, we've made it a point to stop by Kinka's every time we fly in and out of TPA. On subsequent visits, I was able to try pernil again with the same mouth-watering flavors. However, during later visits, we found out we needed to be there earlier as they run out of pernil on a regular basis! So I've tried their ropa vieja and chicken stew and while good, they pale in comparison to their pernil. We've tried other Cuban restaurants north of Tampa and around Ocala and Kinka's is hands down the best in my humble opinion. Other restaurants I've tried serve lechon asado...similar flavor profile but no crispy skin! I use Kinka's pernil as the standard by which I evaluate other restaurants' roast pork offerings.

Food was awesome and the staff are very friendly. Authentic espresso and Cuban food that can't be beat. First time there and when we are back in the area will be back.

I honestly wanted to try the food there since it smelled and looked so delicious. However, my friend only wanted the pastries and grab lunch elsewhere. Overall, the coffee I got was AMAZING and that's me being a coffeholic and rating their delicious coffee! The pastries were sooo yummy! Perfectly sweet and delicious!! Highly recommended place (super cute cafe) not too far from the Tampa Premium Outlet Mall.

Great local spot, fresh baked breads and pastries, desserts. Breakfast plates and sandwiches. Lunches very good, highly recommend the pernil. Keep in mind lunch service ends around 2p. Small seating area inside as well as sidewalk out front. Very clean, well staffed.

    Coffee was "awesome".

Authentic and delicious!! Service 5 stars... very attentive and friendly Ambiance is relaxing, super clean and half booths are very comfortable. We definitely will be back!

Helloo Kinkas! I'm a lover of all the new Spanish bakeries in the Wesley Chapel/ Lutz area during these last few years. This quaint hidden cafe bakery is in a small plaza, and is truly a vibrant experience anywhere from the decor to the food. Most of the food is puerto rican derived, however you can get your cafe con leche cuban style at this place, as well as a cafeteria style hot lunch at the counter as well. This is an order at the counter place, but the food tastes high quality. The sandwich took a bit to come out, but sincerely this means that it is being made fresh, and it definitely tasted like it. FYI: if you're a mom, don't bring a stroller if you're trying to find a place to sit comfortably. (The place is very small but worth a second and third, fourth, etc visit) :)

Came in for some Cubans on Sunday for the beach. We arrived in the morning before our trip to the beach. This place is beautiful and clean! The staff is super friendly and it was so busy and people kept coming. They do have indoor seating as well as some outside tables. Everything looked so good! I placed my order at the register for 6 Cubans and was first advised no, that it was breakfast time. I guess the owner could see the disappointment in my face so she said hang on. She went to the kitchen and asked if they could accommodate to which the lady in the back smiled at me and shook her head yes. Yayyyyyy! Took about 10-15 minutes and we had our Cubans. They even remained hot until consumed at the beach. To be honest my whole Cuban didn't make it to the beach because I ate half for breakfast! Omgosh it was so good!! The meat is so tender, the bread so soft and the perfect amount of mayo! Yes! I'll definitely be back here!

The food and coffee here are sooo delicious. It reminds me of being a kid and eating my grandma's breakfast. The coffee for the price was amazing. One of the best coffees in the area. The inside of the place was so warm, cozy and cute. I loved it! The service was great too! Super nice people. 10/10 recommend

Kinka's is the favorite bakery and cafe for lutz area. The bakery goods are very intriguing. The pastries and cake are good style, eye pleasing, and taste good. The restaurant do not have much seating. Many come here for to go order. We got the penil pork with maduro and yellow rice. The pork is great especially they give you a few pieces of the skin. We also got the baby back ribs. The rib is good also. The sweets that we have are the flancake and the pistachio croissant. I recommend the flancake. Overall experience is 4.5. The cuisine listed is Puerto Rican.

Kinka's is an up and coming, beautifully designed, Puerto Rican bakery in Pasco County. It has been opened about 5 months. Yet, they're quickly building up a reputation for themselves in the community for the hot & cold items on the menu. They open early (7:00 a.m. and serve traditional breakfast items until 10:00 a.m.) and it carries in to lunch and dinner hours. The service is good, the store is quiet & chic. The items on the menu include chicharrón, croquetas, alcapurría, to flan, to camarones. On this visit I chose a Guava & cheese pastry called Mallorca. Next I selected a Nutella filled croissant. I wanted something I've never tried before & the powdered sugar, gold flake topped specialty was enjoyable. Finally I asked for a cheesy beef empanada. It was packed with filling and crispy but the right amount of soft. *See video & photo's In all Kinka's wants you to know that they are the new Puerto Rican cafe in Lutz with a vast menu of latin food you should try! This place is adorable- xoxo

So great to have an authentic Puerto Rican bakery close by! (Not Cuban as another reviewer stated). Popped in for a quick after-lunch bite with my mom. It's such a cute bakery. Well lit and nicely laid-out. Plenty of tables both inside and outside. All surfaces were very clean. I didn't realize that they served both breakfast and lunch. They have a mini lunch buffet with traditional dishes such as white rice, rice and Pidgeon peas (arroz con gandules), red beans, ripe fried plantains, and all sorts of meats. Mami ordered the Sopa de Salchichón and said it was very tasty. I ordered a pizza empanadilla which was good. Neither one of us could resist the gorgeous pastries. I had the Quesito de queso y guayaba - yum!! Mami ordered the Mayorca, which was fresh and soft. I'll be back to try the rice and beans and the maduros. As a pescatarian, it can be hard to find non-meat options at most Latino restaurants, but I can make it work. They were not serving any of the seafood salads (octopus, conch) but the owner said they'd have them again after the holidays. Can't wait!

There was a piece of crunchy garlic toast standing up in the side salad. It was very similar to a piece of melba toast. Nice crunch.
