My household were subscribers for years, and getting your photo in the Tele was a right of passage for every school kid in the area. However it lost an air of credibility a few years ago running an editorial on the schools system in Inverclyde that lost the publication some respect in a few socioeconomic sections of the town. Nevertheless, the Tele is an undoubted success through the Inverclyde area and covers everything from the best Morton coverage 35p can buy and is a must for graduation and wedding photos photos of anyone hailing from the area. Need a plumber or someone to clear your loft out? The classified section is a first stop for employing local people and for a competitive price! The also run 25, 50 and 100 years ago today sections in which they print articles from the archives - a great look into the past! An institution in the area, and worth every penny!

Sunday 24 October 2021 Had a parcel to return to Amazon,…read moreand this appears to be the nearest store that facilitates this service. On entering the shop the person serving was seated back from the counter and eating his lunch ( I presume, as it was 1:30pm). He looked up and when I asked if he took Amazon returns he said yes, gesticulating to a machine to my left. He mentioned something about me not having the code required but it could be processed without it. He remained in his eat and continued eating. I tried to use the machine but as I am unfamiliar with it, asked him if he could help. He stayed seated and said he couldn't, as it was 'self service'...in other words he wasn't prepared to get off his backside and help. I asked him if he knew how to operate the machine and he said no, then continued eating. I said I didn't believe him and walked out. Simply put, this man was completely disinterested in providing a potential customer with some guidance for a machine he obviously has in his premises to encourage people to shop there. The Yorston Store is not giving the service for returning goods it is offering, if the shopkeeper can't be bothered to assist in how to operate a machine he will definitely be familiar with. I would recommend using an alternative shop...one where good old fashioned manners and customer service is top priority As an aside, the store is chaotic on the inside, with everything jam packed in and displayed in a really unattractive way. They have a second floor accessed by either a small lift or stairs. They book section is located on this floor and there are a good selection of books i got a diy book from £25.00 to £6.00 a good buy. Some of the books you can get cheaper else where so be careful. This floor is also home to the post office and thus you can purchase envelopes here. The staff are okay and the queues are not usually too long.

The pastries are self serve which gave us a great many to choose from but we opted for a Danish and a pancake with jam.
