I do enjoy small-medium sized castles,…read morethey seem so much more cozier and adorable, and I can actually visualize myself living in one versus a ginormous castle or palace. Loved that the well manicured grounds and gardens are open freely, be sure to see it a night as well when the lightening adds dramatic visual effects. Seeing areas of the castle are "a la carte".
-Tour Route 1, 220CSK/$10..this 40min tour takes your through the main rooms, lounges, dining rooms, and the incredible main ballroom where the art decor is much more modern and whimsical than you would expected...loved it!
-Baroque Theatre 280CZK/$12.75...1 of 4 remaining Baroque theaters still standing, this one has not been modernized at all. I found the 45min tour fascinating, but if you don't like live theater you can skip this.
-Castle Museum and Tower 280CZK/$12.75...no tour required! The views from the top of the tower are spectacular! The museum was interesting too, I especially like the small movie theater.
PRO TIP: If you don't want so spend 1 Euro or 20 CZK to use the toilets, go buy yourself a $2-3 coffee or drink at the cafe near the beginning, and grab one of their toilet tokens.
