I am absolutely THE WORST critic of both psychiatrists and therapists. It's a bit of a miracle that I took to Dr. H right away. She listens from the mindset of people first, acknowledging she hears you and your experiences are valid. Sometimes she simply listens while I can't seem to shut up. She's very bright and has lots to share regarding medications and your life situations, but holds off so you are able to express yourself. There is absolutely no way I would ever describe Dr. H as a pill pusher. She will often defer to my experience with certain medications. She listens to concerns and discusses what the medication does in its effects and it's mechanisms within the brain. what you're already on, and how it may affect you when taking the big picture into mind. She brainstorms with you, listening to your past medications, how well they worked and why you think that is. She is getting your subjective view of how well it helped. That assists her in how to prescribe. She is absolutely 100% sincere in her level of caring and empathizing with patients. I've had a ton of psychiatrists over the years and she is the only one I would say cares, doesn't talk over you, considers multiple life factors and your needs when prescribing... I could go on. She lacks the typical psychiatrist need to assert their dominance. If anything, she reaches out to you on your level. I've had more than a few of the top rated psychiatrists in the country (and world as a top practitioner within their specialization.) There's really only 1 I would consider returning to despite his location 1000's of miles away. And even so, I would ask for collaboration with Dr. Hutcheson rather than jumping ship for Boston. As to the practice manager, I find her to be both hilarious and more than competent in her role. She remembers everyone who walks in. She will ask for updates on something y'all talked about when you came in last time. She always always always works through a waiting list if you need to get in soon and does so effectively. She has a lot of things to do but never forgets the patients come first. I've never had an issue with her. Ever. In 7 years and monthly visits. Her semi-bitchy dog is funny, as well. She isn't really mean, she just considers herself to be a much bigger dog than she it. All of that said, I am taking what seems to be the most effective combination of medications I've ever been on in my 17 years of psych treatment. There are a few little gaps, but I can handle them. If I can't, I tell her, and she responds receptively and starts considering the individual and combined effects of what you're taking as to add or take away meds to get me some relief. I don't know what the heck happened to those who wrote the terrible reviews, but one must take into account that you're reading reviews from disgruntled and mentally ill people. Scratch the disgruntled and you have me and my illness to consider, but really? They were super quick to judge someone under whose care should be continuous and not a single drive-by appointment. When you've gone through a ton of practitioners and are never pleased, the problem isn't the 50 million doctors you've seen. The one thing that's consistent in the search for a practitioner is you. Take your diagnosis into account and consider if your views could be due to or colored by your struggles. Chill out. Commit to a 3 month trial with a doctor. Extend it another 3 if you like where things are going. Give yourself 3 months at a time where at the end you decide if 3 more months is appropriate. At least you've given someone and the meds they've prescribed time to settle in. This all takes time. The medication takes time to reach a full therapeutic, personalized dose. It takes time to build a relationship with your doctor and/or therapist. So, to wrap it up: Dr. H is great. Julie is great. I'm sure Kathy is great although I see a therapist elsewhere. Nothing but 5 stars from me.

Then I went to Dr Wright at Vein and Vascular Institute. He immediately was able to identify the underlying issue, something that a dozen doctors couldn't figure out. Last week I had a procedure. I was so relieved I started to cry, it made such a big improvement in my life. I am forever grateful to the amazing staff here .

If the Dr. is running behind or in need to cancel an appointment they will advise you before you make it to the office. As we all know no one wants to go into the Dr. Office during these times. Dr. Mehuron is willing to work with your comfort zone. If you are okay with coming into the office you are welcomed. She also will allow you to have a telehealth visit depending on the circumstances. She is very direct and will provide you with her knowledge on different things that will help make your life a little healthier.

LOL I called BCBS and they said she has nothing to do with my insurance payment of course. I just wonder if Doc Martinez knows that this staff member is destroying his business? I have a voicemail she left me denying me a visit and my LOP from my lawyer. So I have not been able to see my fav DR in a couple of years. I am posting her message here for all to hear her excuses for not allowing me to be seen. It is fraud and illegal and she needs to be fired ASAP.
