Mmmmmm first spoon full!

Jada was the hostess last time and this time! She had the draft pulling as I sat down, and this is the second time here! Ordered the pork donburi on Jada's recommendation! Let try it out!!

First, I found a bunch of small black hairs in my ramen and it's disgusting. With the Covid-19 crisis, hygiene is so important. If they can't be careful enough to not have hairs in their ramen, how can they be careful enough to keep the customers safe from the virus?!! 2nd, the portion is so cheap for the price, only 2 pieces of pork per order & half of it is fat. The broil is mostly only salt. If you know your ramen, this is not quality and not worthy the price.

I just love this place! They have such amazing ramen - very consistent and tasty. My favorite is the karrage chicken which is amazingly fried chicken! Take out is clean!

a bowl of ramen with meat and vegetables

Two fat pork on the top, the soup taste just spicy and salty, not enough noodles, $14.99 for this noodle, doesn't worth. Service is good, nice staff, that's why I give 2 stars. I hope to see you improve.

Finally the first ramen shop in the west island where I don't have to waste my time driving into the city and looking for parking. If you got a craving, this does the job. Is it like Japan? No it isn't but if you have a craving, this is good enough.

Delicious ramen. Really enjoy the pork original with extra egg. The gyozas and Sapporo are great too.

Same as all Kinton ramen restaurants, while not the most authentic ramen, it's delicious. Staff is nice and bilingual.

This is the best AYCE Korean BBQ joint in west Island and I believe the only one!…read more It has a beautiful rustic charm it looks like a beautiful chalet and as soon as you walk in it feels very cosy and homey! We came in without a reservation and they made us feel welcome! We got checked in and vetted with all the covid rules (vax pass and sanitizer first) and got seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive and very sweet. She showed us how to order online with our phones. Very interesting system ! I loved how the food is brought to us by a baby elevator .. I guess the kitchen is in a different level! Food: They brought out some starters that tasted delicious I was so impressed with the cucumber starter dish so yummy with a kick to it. We got kimchi , marinated onions and then the Chop suey was delish too ! Every dish had awesome flavours. We went ahead and ordered different meats and shrimp. My all time favourite was the ox tongue soo good The grill was getting dirty as we were cooking so much on it she changed it for us that was nice as well. There's a lot of variety to choose from and it is all you can eat so you may order as much as you want but if you leave anything on the plate they charge you 1$ extra so be careful when you order too much hihi. Overall service ambiance and food was AMAZING and worth every penny! Definitely recommend this place if you've never tried an ayce Korean bbq resto! Cheers!

Was in the mood for some Korean bbq. I always drove by their…read moreplace and decided tonight to give them a try. There is ample parking as they have there own parking lot and there is also a bus stop a few meters down the street. The restaurant is a small quite place and has about 15 tables insides. The menu is down all online as well as the ordering process. The staff was friendly and was able to explain everything properly. We stated off with some vegetable that we grilled. The vegetables were raw and unseasoned. We had the following vegetables. Onions and zucchini and mushrooms. We grilled them and we had to dip them in the sauces to add flavor. For the meats. Short ribs were extremely fatty and chewy and the seasoning was bland. Short ribs on no bone Was very fatty and chewy and the way it was cut was like it was cut by hand not even made it hard to grill. Ox tongue Had same seasoning as the short ribs. Not much flavor in the sauce. It was ok nothing special. Pork belly Was cut so small made it hard to grill properly. No seasoning on the pork belly. Pineapple Was fresh and not canned and we grilled it as well. It's a nice place but with a few improvements it can be a winner.

Coming from Toronto, I have fairly high expectations for ramen. Their menu is simple, with only 3…read moremain kinds of ramen as well as a small seasonal menu. We tried their Rouge, Blanc, and seasonal Tsukemen. Their ramen had a good flavour, and I quite enjoyed the texture of the noodles which were curly and a bit on the thicker side. The broth was made using chicken stock and normally I'm more of a Tonkotsu (pork broth) fan, so I found that it was a bit lacking in the richness. I also thought the Rouge could have been much spicier (would have been nice if there was an adjustable spice option). Unfortunately the meat in the dish was lacking, normally you want fatty pieces of cha siu but you can see that the meat in the ramen was incredibly lean and dry. They did give you a large quantity in the Premium sets but I wish the cut of pork was fattier. The quantity of the food was quite nice, for example the tsukemen comes in multiple sizes and even the smallest size (regular) comes with a lot of noodles. Overall the food was tasty and I did like how much toppings came in the premium sets. There's definitely room for improvement but it was a satisfying bowl nonetheless.

The large mushroom was my favorite part of the ramen. The portions are very good, and I left feeling extremely full. The restaurant itself was very hot inside, and even though the restaurant was empty, all customers were seated in one small little area. So my only complaint was that the restaurant was very hot inside.

Combos come with your choice of meat, your choice of rice or vermicelli, salad, a spring roll and an appetizer vegetable soup. I got the chicken combo with vermicelli ($18) while my husband got the beef combo with rice ($19). The vegetable soup was mostly broth and only contained a single broccoli floret, a single cauliflower floret and a single slice of carrot. Oh and some green onions, lol. However, the broth was very flavourful. We each got 3 sizeable pieces of meat. Mine where chicken thighs. I do prefer lean breast meat to the fattier thigh meat, but they did trim off the fat, so the meat at least wasn't gristley. The marinade was delicious. The chicken was really flavourful. I had a taste of my husband's beef and it was tender and delicious. I did notice some gristley bits to the beef though. The vermicelli was nicely cooked. The spring roll was hot right out of the fryer and crunchy on the outside. The salad had too many raw bean sprouts for my liking. It also has lettuce, pickled carrots, and daikon. And also mint leaves. We both enjoyed our meal. Service was pleasant. The place was packed when we arrived, but by the time we left it had completely cleared out. Decor is modern and hip looking, lol. Clientele seemed to skew young, at least younger than my husband and I, haha. The restaurant is in a plaza and there's free parking in the plaza parking lot. The waiter (skinny short…read moreearly/mid-twenties guy with glasses and long hair) was incapable of being kind, helpful or professional; he struggled to communicate without being rude. I'm not talking about a strong accent or anything, his English was definitely coherent, but what left an awful taste in my mouth was his bad attitude and straight-up rude demeanor towards my wife. He made our experience very off-putting and we were very disappointed. He was lucky I was tired that day, otherwise I might've made a scene. Good thing there is this thing called Yelp where customers can warn people (and business owners) about bad apples that might be bringing down the quality of their fine establishments! :) I don't recommend coming to Tsukuyomi if you are expecting decent service or to be treated like a human being. It was very confusing to even make an order, because the exasperated, impatient, and rude waiter did not want us to ask any questions about the menu. He also rushed us to make our order even though there were only two other people there: it was clearly not super busy. He later reluctantly checked in on us then immediately pressured us, assuming we were going to order more (insinuating it would be rude to just order drinks and appetizers). We definitely did not want to order more after the slimy salmon. We weren't super hungry and just wanted appetizers and drinks. It's an Izakaya, no? Can't I just order a few small plates and drinks? I ordered the salmon sashimi, usually my go-to order there (sometimes I get the salmon bowl instead). It tasted really yummy and came with a big serving, but unfortunately the sauce was drowning the fish and looked questionable; the texture of the dish was a bit concerning, both the salmon and the sauce were slimy and looked strange. Due to the rude waiter who made my wife uncomfortable I checked to see if the food had spit in it (I don't believe it did, thankfully, whew). Normally I would never suspect this kind of thing happening, but I heard the waiter laughing and talking about us to the cook right after we got done with our order, so I was a bit scared they would do something. In the past I would never have even through this place was capable of doing something disgusting like that, but now I have completely changed my mind. Although the food is still decent and pretty good, I think that whoever is managing the wait staff / restaurant needs to discipline them and tell them not to be so rude. I'm not sure it is the same owners because it seems like the quality and overall vibe of this place has fallen off a bit. If it IS the same owners, I hope they get their staff and food quality in order. Our past experiences at Tsukuyomi were pristine. We were regulars! I have some hope for this restaurant since it was one of the only good ramen / izakaya places near us, but this bad experience made me afraid to come back. I'd love to know if something was done to look into to this but I know it's hard to fix something like this. Theoretically would love an apology, but even if I got one, I'm almost 100 percent certain I wouldn't come back.
