Kira and her staff made my Quinn kitty so handsome and snarl-free and comfortable. Quinn, being so long-haired, we couldn't keep up with his Siberian fur growth at home this winter. Quinn licked himself into these matted patterns and we arrived at Kira's facility with at least 9 'burrs' that we needed help with. They removed every single hair matte, snarl, and burr, with a light trim and bath/spoo. Trusting that she could do 'magic,'--Kira talked me out of giving my kitty a lion cut to "start over." Our dog gets his grooming at Kira's. He is a Rottweiler, Aust. Shepard, Chow Chow mix so he's big fluffy dog and Kira does a wonderful job. A previous groomer would cut too much and our poor guy would be scratching himself constantly until his fur grew out, but Kira has groomed and trimmed him perfectly. When we drop or pick him up at Kira's, I can see how gentle and knowledgeable she is with other dogs, which provides us with a high level of reassurance that she is taking good care of our guy. read more

I truly can't say enough goo things about Kira. I'm so glad we found her. We started bringing our mini Goldendoodle to her right after we got him, and couldn't be more pleased. She doesn't a fantastic job with him, and he always looks so handsome when she is done with him. Kira is great! We had a coincidence of a zipcar for the day along with noticing some bad mats on our cat, so called up and were able to book a same-day appointment for a cat grooming. We went in convinced that poor Pekoe would need an incredibly embarrasing Lion-Cut (shaved except for head and paws) but Kira was able to easily brush out his mats (along with about 10 lbs of loose fur) and gave back our orange gentleman cleaned, sweet-smelling, sleek and oh-so-soft. From the second we walked in, the girl made our ZuZu feel so happy! ZuZu is typically terrified of groomers, and she was having a blast. How could I forget to write a review about wonderful Kira?! Probably because I was too captivated by how handsome my little guy looked. Seriously. Take a look at his pics and try to get anything done. Anyway, we found/followed Kira from another place before she began her own business and couldn't be happier now that she's in our neighborhood. Although truthfully, even if she weren't so convenient we'd still trek to visit her. Why? First off, Kira truly loves and cares about the animals that she grooms; this comes through in not only her attention to detail when grooming them, but in her interaction with them. Second, my dog can be unpredictable around people, particularly strangers, but Kira (his "girlfriend") has always been really understanding and never worried, and as luck would have it he is always really well behaved when he's there (except for when he's faced with his arch nemesis, the hair dryer). Finally, Kira goes above and beyond the other places I have been to for a much more reasonable rate. Her shop is impeccably clean, always stocked with toys and water, she has a pen area and open space depending on your dogs' needs (wonderful if you don't crate), and she uses extra fun touches like little ties for the boys and little hair bows and nail polish for the girls. I've been to 5 other places within a 2-mile radius with mixed results, but no one compares to Kira. If your pooch is in need of some pampering, please don't hesitate to give her a call. read more

Now my doggy smells good, and is nice and clean, ready for Halloween! My dog is always happy going there because he gets to play with other dogs and because he gets treated like a king during his bath. His shampoo smell was different from our first time, but both smells good. His ears and teeth are cleaned as well as his butt! I don't mind paying a higher price as long as the bath is detailed and has a very good outcome. Even though I was only there for probably 10 minutes Kira was very nice to me and made me feel like I was her friend even though we had only just meet two seconds prior, and that she had met my dog before. She was very friendly immediately starting to tell stories and introduced me to her dogs.
