Part of what I enjoy about traveling is the "hunt" for a good coffee shop. It's a rare occasion when I can find specialty single origins & blends for myself, and more traditional espresso drinks for my wife; Kitt's had us covered (with a great ambience to boot). I wish I had more time to engage the Barista's/staff to learn about the shop and passion (& try their food menu),... no good excuse. If you're local, you gotta check this place out, and if you're rolling through, trust me,.... Kitt's is worth the detour (I'll be stopping on my next trip for sure). read more

Always go here to study, baristas have always treated me amazing and make great recommendations when I don't know what to get. Coffee and tea are both always top notch and food is always a hit. Traveling back towards KC and needed some coffee. There was a parade in town but we got here in spite of the closed off roads. The place itself is so cool and comfortable. So much seating and no need to feel rushed. The barista was super helpful and even let me have a taste before purchasing beans. The coffee--I had a mocha--all house made syrups--really good. Husband had a pour over which was also very good. Available muffins and pastries were warm and fresh. Morning Glory muffin was spot on! When in Kearney, NE stop here a relax for awhile. read more

My mom and I made my way up to Kearney, Nebraska for the total solar eclipse of the sun today and stopped in at Kitt's Coffee Bar-Calico Coffee. First impressions: it's like walking into a coffee shop in New York City or Seattle, it's gorgeous. The employees were very nice, but quiet. My mom and I looked over the menu and we both ordered the Mexican Mocha Latte and I also added a bagel with homemade strawberry cream cheese. Holy cow, they were both delicious! My coffee had a hint of cinnamon, which was amazing. The ambiance seems perfect for college students wanting to study or to meet up with a friend or family. I will definitely be going back, since I am in Kearney quite regularly for family! read more

My husband and I are are self proclaimed "coffee connoisseurs". We stopped by this coffee shop while visiting family in Kearney. Tried their Cardamom Thai Coffee...it was fantastic.
