On Friday, August 13th I left my house at approximately 10:00 am. When I returned an hour later…read morethere was a huge pile of crushed rock at the entrance of my driveway blocking access to my house. A couple of hours later (approximately 12:00 to 1:00PM) a dump truck pulled up on the side of the road. The driver got out and explained that the load of rock was dropped off by accident. After a bit of conversation, I gave the driver my business card and asked him to have his employer call me) or email me) to arrange to move the rock. Note: I specifically told the driver (twice) that the email and phone number on the card was valid, but the physical address was no longer in use. Never heard a thing. No email. No messages. Nothing. I eventually had to hire someone at a cost of $300, including 20 hours of my own time to clean up the mess. A week later I was sent an invoice by James Drayton for the crushed rock, to the address identified on the business card as no longer valid, along with a statement obviously to reflect past due payments. Having been in business myself previously, I assume this was done to initiate some kind of collection agency proceedings. I have since been informed from multiple sources that this may not have been an accident at all. Turns out that James Drayton has a reputation for so called 'accidents' that often result in an invoice, followed up by the threat of a contractor's lien on the homeowner's property, and threats of a collection agency and lawyers getting involved if the invoice isn't paid promptly (with strictly cash I might add). I'm filing this complaint not only to get a reimbursement for my expenses, but to put a stop to this 'Fraud' in its tracks. I choose not to be another victim of James Drayton fraudulent and unethical business practices. I have a neighbor who originally ordered the rock who can corroborate the details of the rock. As well as another gentleman who was present during the conversation with the driver, when he was explicitly told twice not to use the address on the business card, and to have his boss call me to arrange pickup of the rock. I am also currently in the process of investigating filing criminal charges in this matter, along with a small claims lawsuit to be compensated for my expenses and time, and also filing a complaint with the BBB. Since the original complain to the BBB, I have been contacted by a lawyer representing James Drayton. Obviously this is meant to part of the 'Drayton' intimidation and I can only speculate that this is part of his pattern of his fraud, as the letter threatens to countersue me for breach of contract (which there was none) among other things. The letter also claims that I have 'changed my mind' about purchasing rock and no longer want to pay for it. Let's be clear. I never ordered rock. I never changed my mind. And I don't appreciate the threats from his lawyer. James Drayton knows exactly what he did. He just doesn't like getting caught.

This last time they came out, they did the staircase railing crooked it was their mistake and then they had to come out and fix it. Vicente( owner) came out in a horrible mood eating a burrito and ignoring me while I asked him questions because he was late and I had to go to an appointment. I had reminded him that something else was left undone. They were supposed to do red oxide on all the pillar tops and left one undone and so now it is rusty. He continued to be rude and act like he didn't know what I was talking about however, I speak three languages so it's kind of hard not to know what I'm talking about. For all of this and a few more things they charged $6500 which is highway robbery. Not to mention that they left nails all over my driveway which they had done the first time as well. I will take pictures of everything below. Lastly, and worst, I believe that they did open up a private box in my storage because it was turned around and boxes don't just turn themselves. That was the worst abuse. This was really private stuff that nobody was supposed to look at. I had plastic covering all over it. We all have those things and we have a right and nobody should touch our things. In the time that they came here, I treated them very respectfully. I speak three languages and conducted my business in the second language, not my native tongue. When their microwave wasn't working or they forgot to bring it which some people won't even allow you to use that, I invited them into my home and let them use my kitchen and my microwave. They left napkins with hot sauce all over my property that I had to pick up every time and I didn't even say anything about it. Instead, I politely set up a table for them to eat at and tried to create a trash bag for them. All in all being ripped off, treated rudely and disrespectfully by Vicente and having my work finished improperly is enough for me never to want to come back and I feel right telling other people To add one last caveat, there's an older woman that lives onThree Rocks Rd. who has a neck brace I don't want to give her her name. She told me NEVER to use them. She said she spent $40,000 on work and got rats in her house because they left holes in the walls. This cannot be completely substantiated, but I was nervous using them the second time after I heard her story and now I'm just grateful to get through without too much damage , just being ripped off. I told her she should leave a review. Please be careful if you use this company, if you do It's good to have a nice strong husband to guide you because you may get ripped off or abused if you are a woman by yourself or elderly. Of course this is just my experience, but there are others out there who just don't report it like the elderly lady on Three Rocks Rd. and that's the unfortunate thing.

I called Morgan at Allcorn to see if I could get some info, and we ended up agreeing to a visit to check out the job. They worked hard every day knowing we went on vacation the third week after it started, which we were really grateful for.
