We saw Pacific White Sided Dolphins in a group of 150+, Sea Lions feeding on salmon, Humpback Whale mother and calf, black bear and incredible tidal whirlpools. Everday is different when you go out. Today's tour took us through Discovery Passage and around Sonora with dockside lunch on Stuart Island at Big Bay. Jos and Rentia are incredibly kind, courteous and experienced. Very safety oriented and well connected with the local guiding and business community. Their Ikaika enclosed boat was very clean, quiet, fast and accesible for all abilities. Highly recommend Eagle Eye. If your fortunate to get Jos, he'll share some great life stories, photography and deep ethic for protecting the Pacific coast, its wildlife, and our planet.

Weather was a bit on and off with rain but we were dressed in Helly Hansen suits complete with toques and goggles. A great afternoon with a stop in nearby Lund complete with a snack and drink. Friendly service from start to finish. Really what better way to enjoy the pacific coast than a full afternoon on the water.

Pool was cold so we didn't stay long. Our 1.5 y/o was shivering, we were chilled too. Wasn't overly relaxing. Playground was a little tough for her. It was handmade. Big tires for stairs and a big steep tube cut in half for a slide. It's cool for the older kids though. The room was more than we needed for one night therefore almost double than what we were looking to pay. The gas stove knobs were too enticing for her and she kept trying to turn them on. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Review of Vista Del Mar…read morePending review Hi everyone, Let me tell you a tale... I rented a room for two guests on Thursday, August 23, 2018 for about $110. The owner / night manager completely misread a situation where two of my friends attended our room to check up on my guest who was resting at about 10:30PM. He ended up yelling at them to get off the property and busting down a locked and bolted door to wake up and kick out my guest. My friends and guest were compliant and left but the owner continued to chase them onto the adjacent property demanding return of the room key and threatening to call the police. We gave the key to him immediately and he advised we could return the following day for a refund. I returned the next morning at about 9AM, very disappointed and advised I would like my refund for the room. The same guy was working. I assume he owns the place. English is obviously not his first language, and he's very difficult to understand. He advised sternly that I would not be getting a refund and that he was going to bill about $1000 in damages for the room - that he caused when he broke the door down - to my credit card. When I said that would be unacceptable and tantamount to theft, he stated he was going to call the police. I don't know if he actually did, but he advised someone on the phone that I was "threatening him at his place of business". Untrue. I left peacefully as I had other things to do besides dealing with this nonsense. None of us are trouble makers, and the owner / manager's actions were completely uncalled for. There are plenty of hotels / motels in Campbell River that have treated me very well over the years. This was the worst experience I've ever had as a patron / guest. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Ordinary continental breakfast, decor, room size, cleanliness, and parking, 3 stars for all those. 4.5 stars for service and friendliness of the staff. No elevator which was a bit of a chore for us old people w/ luggage, but no views from the ground floor. Saw a large deer one AM, adding to the experience.
