I have seen the best of the best neurologists in the world and had tried everything possible to help my migraines, but nothing worked. I was once a successful attorney and became disabled b/c of the migraines. By the time I started treating with him, I was having severe cognitive problems whereby I couldn't even put sentences together, forgot things that happened mere minutes ago, and couldn't even remember my friends' names (and I graduated top of my class in college and law school). I was out of hope and knew in my heart that I only had a couple of years left. I decided to give him a shot. In the beginning I had so many doubts: what were these weird things he was having me do, weird supplements to take, and expensive treatments? BUT, a year later, I am SO SO SO much better! My head and health have improved greatly! (A pleasant bonus is that I am starting to naturally lose weight without even trying). My intellect has returned and I hope to practice law again! The best part, though, is that I can finally be the Mom my kids deserve! So, how do I rate Dr. Bowman? I am not sure how I can even put into words how miraculous he has been for me and my family. For some background, I had 2 back surgeries in 2012 and after the second one I was much better…read more Then I started having issues in 2021 or 2022. My treatment plan was an injection in the right L5, S1 (same area as my previous surgery). Unfortunately, I didn't get any relief. By 2023, my pain was bad and affected my right side as well as my left side L5. The pain was on and off 20x a day at a pain level of 5-8 on a scale of 0-10. I saw the nurse/ PA and he suggested getting an MRI and physical therapy. Therapy wasn't helping and MRI showed no main issues but scar tissue, arthritis and degenerative disk. After doing a test to see if I could have an ablation, Dr. determined I wasn't a candidate. I repeatedly asked the nurse practitioner or the Dr. nurse for cortisone shot but was turned down as it didn't work the last time. During this exam, it didn't hurt in the areas it needed to be but I told him typically it does hurt in those areas. It would get triggered if I stand for a few minutes, sit in a chair for a few minutes or bend picking things up etc. It was still a no go on injections. After having a meeting with the doctor in December, he recommended a prescription. After doing research on the drug, I was pretty nervous of the side effects. So, I decided to get a second opinion. The New Dr. reviewed my records and MRI and suggested a cortisone injection would be something that could help and suggested two shots one on each side. I got the shots and within a few days I feel 80% better. I hope it lasts and time will tell. Overall, neuroscience was professional but wished the PA and Doctor at neuroscience, would have listened to me and considered the injection.

Horrible with scheduling. My son was given a date for therapy to start and I was told to call back…read moreif that did not work. That day worked so I didn't call back, and found out without my knowledge the slot was given to someone else and he was put back on the wait list. The receptionist who told me this was cold and unsympathetic. There were also problems initially trying to get my son scheduled for his testing--it took several follow up calls just to get him scheduled, after several times being told "we'll call you back." We decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt and go forward, but when this happened with his slot given to someone else, I'm not sure what to do. Unfortunately not many places in this area take our insurance.

Uncaring and would not answer basic questions unless I filled out a ton of paperwork for my child. The second encounter, I did end up filling out paperwork and submitting it. No one called me back to schedule anything. When I called to follow up, I was told my child was put on a waitlist as no therapists were available. There is no estimated time on when they might be available either. Why could this not have been conveyed earlier so I could look elsewhere for help?
