I really wanted to join a gym in Switzerland because I knew that I'd absolutely love to eat every…read moresingle thing just because it's new. So in order to avoid gaining 30 Kilos (ha! not pounds kids!) I decided to join Eurofit. I actually thought everyone was saying "Oil Fit'... but that's just their accent. If I want to properly say it I have to say "Oil" and then everyone knows what I'm talking about. I wish there was a trick like that for a lot of words... haha. Anyway!
The gym is great, it's a bit different' from the ones I'm used to in the states, but different aint bad. The main fitness floor has free weights, a lot of ellipticals, bikes, and stair steppers, and 2 treadmills. There are also several machines and a Cafe. If you forget a towel it's 2 CHF to borrow one.
So! For about $450 CHF I received a 3 month membership. That's about how it is for all gyms. This includes classes and the fitness area. I'd never really gone to a fitness class until I came to Switzerland, but these are AWESOME! I'm (attempting) to go to Muscle- Work and Bauch/Beine/ Pro (butt and abs) each week. The instructors for those two classes are so much fun and really helpful. It's easy to see what you have to do because they'll act out the exercise before we do it. I still need to ask what HOL means? What the heck is that? They always say it when we STOP holding the weight. Anyway, I'm getting really distracted.
For 30 CHF you have a bracelet that gets you in and out and allows you to use the lockers. You get reimbursed when you return it, and if you forget it they'll give you a temporary one.
The website is easy to navigate, and the people are very nice. :)
