Unfortunately, I have not been able to secure care elsewhere due to limited access--many offices do not accept my insurance, one have closed, and Rutgers University has extremely long waitlists. At this time, your office is the only option available to me that accepts my insurance and works with my transportation coverage. Since my last visit, my condition has worsened. I am now experiencing food getting trapped in my mouth, and it feels like there may be a hole forming near one of my teeth. This is causing increased discomfort, stress, and anxiety. What to expect when visiting during CV-19 NJ Phase 2…read more Upon arrival, call the number listed on the door and wait in your car. You'll be asked a series of questions; Do you have a fever, cough, travel to hotspots, been around anyone CV-19 positive. They'll call you when they are ready for you. Upon entering, a forehead temperature scan. FYI, sitting in the car w/o AC in the summer months with a lid will elevate your temperature. If you are a bit warm, they will have you sit for a few minutes and then re-take your temperature. Once in the chair, you're given about 2 oz of hydrogen peroxide to swish in your mouth. X-rays are taken and then the cleaning. Cleaning is an OG scraping with medieval tools. No waterpik/jetstream is used to reduce airborne mist. Polishing is eliminated as well to reduce airborne mist, just flossing between teeth. All surfaces are sanitized before and after your session. IMHO, a dental visit is high-risk but Team Lambrinos adheres to procedures outlined by NJ for CV-19 safety guidelines. It's been several weeks after my visit and I'm well.
