Had dinner last night at Kline's Olymp. Only seating available was outside which was fine but a little cold. The Becks was cold and the food was really good. I had a shrimp appetizer and the baked fish with pan potatoes. I would recommend this place to anyone while in Bremen. Located in the Schnoor so nice stores and walking. read more

First time in Bremen and read the reviews so we went and happy we did! It's a cute smaller place with outside seating. We got a lovely table for 2 right next to the window. Quite music, low lighting, friendly English speaking staff but a bit elusive as we came at the beginning of busy time so she was running around hoping others. The food-awesome! My husband had the schnitzel and loved it. We all had the escargot that was delicious. I had the local special (first one on the menu) that translates to eel. It was marinated or "cooked" like ceviche is made point is it's not fried/baked etc and more like sushi consistency with sour cream based salad on top and yummy fried potatoes. It's wasn't fishy and I loved it. It's he nearer dish in the pic. One app, one beer, water and entrees was 43.60euros. If we're back in Bremen we'd go back. read more

Surprisedly quaint inside even though one cannot tell that by standing outside the front door. Food was prepared and presented well. Have beer on tap and good selection of wines. I certainly recommend it. read more

Was in Bremen for just an afternoon for a walking tour and to see the city. I had wanted some authentic German food as a tourist. I'm happy we found Kleiner Olymp! The location is absolutely perfect. Very close to a lot to do and see in Bremen but quiet and tucked away. The inside was stunning and the outside was really cute. Cant go wrong with either! The food and drink options were top notch. We've been to Bremen for the first time. We wanted some typical north German place where we get some good fish. Luckily we have found this cute place. It's a cozy atmosphere in the middle of the old town (schnoor area). We can definitely recommend the Bremer Pannfisch. Service is very generous, not typical German ;-) I would definitely come back here in case I would come back. read more

Foods were yummy! Too bad they've changed their business hours to 16:00 onwards. Didn't get the chance to go for 2nd visit.

This was the best food I had in Bremen! Our colleague from Bremen recommended this place and it did not disappoint!! This is supposedly a place for local food. The building used to be the home of ship builders back in the 1700's. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Everything about this restaurant is lovely! One thing is for sure when you dine here: you'll love the atmosphere. Set in the old town of Schnoor, Kleiner Olymp is situated in a small square complete with medieval-style architecture, cobblestone roads and an old statue in the center of it all. The restaurant itself inside has a cozy upscale-tavern feeling to it, but outside seating in the square is also available. I was really hoping for the food to match the feeling the atmosphere here provides, but unfortunately it falls a little short in some ways. We were both generally pleased with our plates of schnitzel and shrimp in homemade sour cream sauce, respectively, but they weren't one of our favorites so far here in Germany. And it was a bit on the pricier side as well. We both agreed, however, that the local brew that is only served on tap here (Schnoor Bräu), was awesome! Seriously one of the best beers I've had so far since moving to Germany...and Germany, obviously, has really good beer. read more

outstanding authentic German and very local food from the North German region around Bremen. try their Olympic Classicer onion soup overbaked with lots of cheese for around 7€ as a starter and then have any of their delicious seafood menu items. We wanted to try this restaurant, but did not get to eat there for two reasons: a table was not available for our group size (the place is apparently small and popular), and the rudeness of the woman who answered the phone when I called ahead to reserve caused them to lose our business any other day. read more
