I used Dyer & Associates last year and decided to go with them again this year. When I reviewed the…read morereturn that he prepared this year, there was an expense entry on the Schedule C he prepared for me that appeared fabricated. It has since been determined that he simply misread the information I provided. However, when I first brought the apparent fraudulent entry to Mr. Dyer's attention and told him that I didn't have confidence in him or the return he had prepared due to this primary issue and several other minor mistakes, I stated that I would file my taxes another way. He then accused me of attempting to steal his work and assumed that I was going to file the return he prepared without paying him for it. As I told him then and numerous times since then, I had and still have absolutely no intentions of doing any such thing. I'm an honest person (which is why I terminated my relationship with Mr. Dyer since it appeared he was adjusting the numbers to get me a better refund), and don't take kindly to people attacking my character. I've decided to file my taxes via TurboTax but will not be using the return Mr. Dyer prepared in any way, shape, or form. I chose Dyer & Associates primarily because of the many apparently pleased customers who have left 5-star reviews. I believe they are a legitimate firm and I'm sure they have many pleased clients. But from my personal experience in my dealings with them that I've listed here in this review, I personally cannot recommend their work and will not be using any of their services in the future.

Despite years of loyal patronage, the level of…read moreservice received during my 2023 tax filing preparation was shockingly inadequate, and his dismissive attitude and neglectful behavior, was simply unacceptable. After providing all necessary documents well in advance (late February when he said he was not busy), Mr. Parker repeatedly failed to respond to emails and calls, leaving me scrambling to meet the April 15th deadline. His office also lied on multiple occasions that he was working on my return when he was not. Mr. Parker neglected to file my extension (that he insisted that I do) as promised in a meeting with him just three days prior to Tax Day. His lack of communication culminated in a last-minute referral to another service provider 45 minutes before they closed, causing undue stress and financial strain. It is abundantly clear that his influx of 700 new clients has overwhelmed his ability to fulfill his obligations to existing ones. I emailed him and gave him the opportunity to make this all right but was told by his office staff, a couple of days after Tax Day, that he did not want to do my taxes. The only thing that I did to have him let me go as a client, was to follow up multiple times until I reached his office on Tax Day to inquire about my extension (which he also lied about filing). I implore prospective clients to reconsider entrusting their financial affairs to such unreliable hands.
