There are numerous museums including the Albertina showcasing Durer, Raphael, Rembrandt, Picasso, Klmt and others. The Augustinekirche (14th century Gothic), Schatzkammer Imperial Treasury, Lipizzaner riding school, Globenmuseum of cartography and the Nationalbibliotek and others. I'm reviewing the tour of the Imperial apartments, Imperial Silver Collection and the Sisi Museum which are in the Hofburg Palace and included in a one ticket price for Adults of 12.50 Euro. This tour comes with a free audio-guide in 13 different languages. I highly recommend the audio-guide which gives detail and perspective you would miss on a self tour. Admission with a guide is another option and costs 15.50 Euros and lasts about 55 minutes. There are other neighboring museum combinations with the Hofburg Palace Tour you might be interested in which include the Art/History Museum and the Schonbrunn Palace. The Imperial Apartments feature Franz Joseph & wife Elizabeth's private quarters, the Audience Hall of great magnificence, conference room for ministers and crown council, living room and bedroom of Elizabeth which are on the scale of the Hermitage and Versailles. The Rococo style, Bohemian crystal chandeliers and 17th/18th century tapestries augment the numerous salons. The furniture is 19th century Louis XV and Empire style. The Sisi Museum has numerous personal items owned by Elizabeth as well as famous portraits of Elizabeth. Her Hungarian Coronation dress is a highlight as is the black coat with egret feathers which she was laid out in after the assassination.. The Silver Collection holds 7,000 coins. It also includes the Vienna Court Silver Service and the "Grand Vermeil Service" which was a service for up to 140 people. The Milan Centerpiece is also a highlight. Interesting little nuances include the dinner menu. Anyone for veal lips or liver dumplings. The tour is accessible to the disabled with ramps, elevators, free wheel chairs and free entrance to aids for blind visitors. Seeing-eye dogs are also allowed. I attended a Mozart Concert in the Hofburg Palace which I enjoyed but others may not appreciate.

I had my wedding here and while the venue was beautiful, I was misled and relied on affirmations to…read moremy detriment. I inquired whether there will be air conditioning since my wedding was taking place on a hot summer day, and I was assured by the wedding planner , Frau Wimmer, that there would be sufficient air conditioning. My wedding took place in July and we were absolutely miserable because of the heat. All that was provided was a tiny air cooler from the 70's. It was completely a joke. My guests were drenched in sweat and as a bride, I was very uncomfortable with the temperature situation. If you can imagine, this was the MOST important day of my life and it was a pleasant feeling to be in such hot temperatures. Nothing was done to resolve the issue. I would stay far away from organizing any events during the entire summer here. You have been warned.

Decent dance floor (small but there's not a huge crowd there either)/ Little stars because 1. Service (a little snobby at the door), 2. All the water flooding the upstairs women's bathoom (really, a pool inside there, must have been a leaking toilet that took over the whole thing), no soap, and .... number one reason fewer stars, is because it was so smokey, that the next day I woke up with my throat and sinus lined with smoke bits. That was even after immediate shower upon returning home. Not cool. So really, only reason for 2 stars was the music. Shame.

When you walk in, there's a paved area to stand. As you walk further out, it becomes apparent as to how big the venue grounds truly are. The venue and couple had set up umbrellas over the ceremony space to shield us from the sun (which was greatly appreciated because the sun was strong). The ceremony went very well. The standing area for the bride and groom was covered well with umbrellas, and they had a microphone set up so that all guests could hear the ceremony. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. After the ceremony there was a bar outside serving drinks. They had tons of water available for us which was amazing due to the high temperature. We got the opportunity to sit and relax at the sitting area inside, where we were given appetizers and finger foods. The food was delicious and fresh. My favorite was the mozzarella. When it was time for dinner, we went upstairs to the most gorgeous dining room. The chandeliers were incredible, and the tables were so eloquently set. It just all fit together so well and such a special feeling. Dinner was a great buffet of all different options. My favorite was the schnitzel and noodles. The fruit salad was also incredible. It tasted a bit minty. The venue has several rooms for different things for a wedding! One room was a photo booth, the other the dining room, the other the dance floor. The staircase lead up to an area where the bride and groom had places pictures of them which was really cool. My favorite part was how they have lights outside at night! The twinkle added to how magical the event was. It looked beautiful!
