Never kept me updated about case. When communication was requested multiple times, I got blown off. I referred three other people with similar issues to them because they were good at recruiting clients and getting our initial signature on the sign up docs, but once signed up as clients, they did nothing on the case and let it wither on the vine. I am upset that over a week of my time was wasted in waiting anxiously for NO RESPONSE after intake paralegal Amy Binns took my information, encouraged me to send all my documents and photos related to my case (which I did same day), and assured me she would get right back to me. She didn't. When I followed up three times, she finally emailed back that she would be getting back to me that day. That was three days ago. Amy didn't even bother letting me know Kline and Specter wasn't interested in taking on my health insurance fraud case, which is not just unprofessional and unhelpful. I'm not sure where to begin.... We were told we had a very strong case, there was clear evidence of wrongful death. Everything seemed fine in the beginning, but slowly things started getting weird. You could tell things were being drawn out, or he wouldn't answer your calls, and when he did he had to call you back. Of course you only have 2 years to actually submit the paperwork needed to take your case to trial. The more we got into it the longer it took to get any kind of response. Anything Richard Gorman asked of us, we had it done as quickly as possible. His demeanor changed at one point where he started saying things like "I need to speak to my superiors". But we'd never hear back. Finally towards the end of our window to file we demanded answers. He then said he was going to have his superiors answer the question, but halfway through the call he changed his mind and just stated "we're not going to be taking your case". Why did it take almost 2 years to give us that answer? Had we known it was gonna go like this, we would have actually went with another lawyer because after all this went down, we contacted several lawyers which a few of them just from speaking without any paperwork stated "you definitely have a strong case". I'm very curious as to what he was doing all those months. It was almost as if he was stalling us, waiting until the very last second to tell us no. Which every other lawyer that we spoke to thought was very strange and was wondering why it took almost 2 years just for a no, that in the beginning was so very hopeful that we could get justice. I can't tell you the amount of doctors and nurses that we spoke to that went through the files pointing out exactly where there was clear negligence. So if that many professionals could see there was definitely very suspicious activity, with clear evidence and concern, what happened that changed his mind? We have our theories, but no clear proof. I will say the other lawyers we spoke to, at least 1/3 of them, had heard of this company, and kind of paused whenever we explained the situation, and said they weren't surprised, they had heard a lot of negativity surrounding them With this kind of case. I'm not sure why we waited so long to try another lawyer, we definitely should have noticed the suspicious behavior, and I'm sure we'd be in a much better place had we just done that. Now we'll never get justice, nobody will be reprimanded for their negligent actions, and we lost a very strong case. Im sure you can come up with your own conclusions on why someone would purposefully drawl out a case for almost 2 years, knowing that no other lawyer would take that on so late in the game. I just hope this never happens to anyone else. Justice won't be served now, nor will we be compensated for a wrongful death. Just know if anyone is dragging things along, move on to another lawyer. Had we done that early on, we'd probably have been able to prevent these actions from happening again. I have no rating for this company,they have no morals to themselves. It took over 6 yrs.to complete my case almost at the end of it someone called me and asked me how much do I expect to get and I told them I want more than you guys are gonna take from me. A year later, a noted lawyer intervened on my behalf with them and had a partner speak with me. I am a client of Kline/Specter and I was represented by both attorney Jimenez and balefsky and they did nothing for me only causing me more heartache and pain as if I wasn't going through enough with medical issues and that's why they were brought on to my case. I was blindsided and lied to regarding a settlement and now I am trying to undo the damaged they caused by not be upfront with me, decisions where being made without my consent and I was left out of the lope. Their ok, I'm in Delaware so I ended up getting a firm that was just acting as Klein Spector when other than paying Klein Spector a percentage of your settlement they had nothing to do with my case kinda like a finders fee went to Klein Spector. My lawyer set the bar/demand too low so when the company got ready to settle all they had to do was meet in the middle which was about 10 or 20 K lower than it should have been. I'd bet my law firm didn't have ten hours of time in my case so they got about two thousand bucks an hour. While I'm left walking around with a Cane. So take your time picking a lawyer try to find one with a five star rating. Here's the kicker. My lawyer also took an additional over 500$ from "my" share to pay the filing cost, that hurt. read more
