I was seen in the hospital emergency room last Wednesday, and the short waiting time and efficient staff made the experience the smoothest I've ever had in such a situation. Within a relatively short time I was being examined by the Chef Artzt who detected my hernia problem. Surgery was scheduled in one week, yesterday, and all was completed in less than two hours.
I was admitted yesterday morning for my surgery, and the entire process went smoothly because of the proficient, empathetic staff. Within two hours I had been prepared for surgery and rolled into the operating theatre . The young paramedic chatted with me and calmed my anxieties. He spoke with me in English and stayed with me until I was on the operating table.
Back in the private room I had requested, I was met by staff, all of whom tried to communicate with me in English, as I did my best to reciprocate in German. The room was perfect. Nice leather furniture, widescreen wall-mounted television , minibar, robe, slippers, various bathroom amenities , plush bath towel and hand towel, and more.
I am tall, so they accommodated me by inserting a bed extension!
The icing on the cake was the staff at Station 2A. The lovely nurse from Albania, the wonderful nurse from Romania, and man in charge of services, the cleaning lady, everyone of these lovely people made my stay memorable. During the night when I was in pain, someone was there to help me. Always with a smile and a kind word.
I forgot to mention the physicians who saw me last week during the
vorbereitung. Each one went ourt of their way to carefully explain my condition and the procedure that would be followed during my surgery. I left feeling uplifted and content.
In summary let me say that having had surgeries in 4 different German hospitals in different parts of Bavaria, the Kitzingen Land Hospital tops the list. I am extremely grateful for the services that this institution provided to me, and I look forward to seeing them again when the need arises. Thanks a million, team. You guys are wonderful! read more
