I also took the boat, it was really a cool way to travel around. and since I have the day ticket, I could travel as much as I want with different popublic transportation. I used to live close to the sea. So for me, I always have a especially feeling for such a place. I could spend the long time just enjoy the view. This is also a great way to see the beauty of this harbour city. many beautiful architecture and cool ships around. In the sunny day, this is surely the place must visit.

Due to the way the door is held open, you have to turn around to get back and potentially walk against the flow of people waiting to take in the views as well. + The stairs are actually quite wide, and you can have people walk in both directions, albeit a bit tightly, up until step # 124. It is at this point that the steps become narrow and the ceiling high a bit low. If your over 5' 7'', you will need to watch your head. + It is best to go either right when they open, or later in the day to have a lesser crowd, as it is a main focal point in the town and attracts people to it. + If you wish for a souvenir, they do have a few items for sell at the entrance. You can also walk outside and the Teepott has stores and restaurants.

Also, on our particular cruise, most of the passengers embarked in Copenhagen, so there were absolutely no lines getting on or off the ship. Just outside the cruise center there are a few restaurants, bars and gift shops. Walk just a few minutes farther and you are in the center of Warnemünde which is a really quaint town. Most visitors will want to make a day trip to Berlin, which is several hours away, but we had a blast just relaxing and strolling around town.
