Peking duck roll, beef roll, and Dong Kar Kee soup.

This is an interesting fusion restaurant. They offer many versions of Vietnamese rice rolls, which some are quite unique. I liked the Peking duck roll. They let you top up the experience with 5 different types of sauces. My personal favorite was the peanut sauce for sure. The soups were actually quite good as we. Very healthy to eat here.

Ho my; 2new regular customers in the making! These rolls had amazing combinations; beautiful variations & great sauces with it. We were served by a gentle and kind girl who helped us with our choices. I wish Knees to chin was closer to my home, although it wouldn't be great for my wallet. If you're going for a full diner: 3 rolls with sauces, rice (or cabbage; would be nice this option was cheaper) & drink: 16,60 € Don't regret it at all, planning to go back in the future! Appetite rising just thinking about it :)

This tiny restaurant was opened end of 2014 and inspires happiness. The whole menu is based on rice paper rolls that you can spice up with different sauces. The base ingredient can be: - beef - chicken - shrimps - etc It's perfect for a light lunch and you can always pair up the rice paper rolls with a bowl of rice or a salad ( the lunch menu is very convenient). The staff and owner are great and the interior design is simple yet very original and full of personality.

By the name of the restaurant, I wasn't really expecting that they offers rice paper rolls and what a discover it was! During our Saturday shopping, My husband and I started to get hungry and we're planning to eat at a Ramen place but they were closed, then we passed by in front of Knees To Chin and luckily for us, we've decided to enter... What a treat! The place isn't that spacious but had enough space to chill in. Nicely decorated with umbrellas and coloured bottles hanging from the ceiling and the ambiance is canteen style. There's a can in the middle of each table where you'll find chopsticks, cutlery, paper napkins and most especially moist wipes to clean your hands after eating the rolls. The choice is quite limited but they do change it depending the season. I've ordered 2 rice paper rolls (peking duck and wakame) with a miso soup. They presents 5 sorts of sauces that you can put on a dish so you can dip the rice paper rolls but it's easier just to pour them on the roll. You really need the sauce as it enhances the flavour of the rolls. It's preferable (easier) to eat them with your hands. Both of the rolls I've ordered were exquisite. Just with the first bite, you can taste that everything was fresh and tasteful. You can recognise all the ingredients composing the roll. The miso soup was a-ok, very salty and quite small for the price. Poops Corner : There's a door at the back end of the restaurant that leads you downstairs. Quite quirky as when you go down, you'll find a lot of boxes and the main kitchen (not quite organised - hopefully they'll do the necessary to tidy it all up). There's only one toilet for all the customers and workers (male and female). When you open the door of the WC, you'll find yourself transported to another world, the walls were covered with Chinese newspapers. The restroom itself was clean and proper. There were enough toilet papers, a freshener and liquid soap. Overall : A nice place to eat rice paper rolls in Brussels (the only place I know that offers it). Quick info, the rolls are cold dishes so under than certain side dishes, all you eat here are cold. The price seems a pricey for just a roll (3.8eur/roll) but they do offer interesting lunch menus on weekdays. What's good to know is that even thou the servers where all European, in the kitchen the chefs where all Asians. This proves the asian quality of the food.

I love that place! Fresh, delicious and healthy ingredients in a roll. Tasty sauces that always fits best with them and makes a good flavour combination. The staff are nice and friendly. Always a good option for lunch if you run out of time and feel like eating healthy.

If you love fresh rice paper rolls then this is your place. Knees to Chins seems to offer a very select menu, but diverse enough to cover a range of flavors. Also, I love rice paper rolls so much that it was too hard to pass up. I was super curious of their flavor combinations though. What would be in these wraps to make them stand out. I've had rice wraps numerous times in other places and they typically don't vary in key ingredients and flavors, but Knees to Chin was certainly a bit more innovative. Simple staples of chicken, shrimp, tofu, omelette, salmon, peking duck, and beef. If you come around lunch they have a nice special of 3 wraps + a side. I chose the chicken, shrimp, and tofu, with a miso soup side. With the wraps on dine-in they give you 5 sauces at the table all with different flavors. I was under the impression they had a sauce pairing before I went, but it was nice that they let you pick and choose at the table. Out of the three I got the chicken was my favorite. It had a peanut sauce inside the wrap and the chicken was nicely cooked. The least favorite was the marinated tofu, but I appreciated that it was marinated tofu and not just straight. The prawns were a refreshing choice for my third pick. They all were extremely fresh, nicely prepared and had a lovely crunch. An interesting addition was what seemed to be bits of fried onion inside them for a salty crunch. The miso was an interesting take. It was fairly standard in flavor with the additional heartiness of noodles and sesame seeds. It provided a bit of a filler to the meal that otherwise would seem very light. Much like a lot of the restaurants hidden in the nooks and crannies of Brussels and the like, it will be extremely cramped inside and with limited space. A majority of people were doing take out. However, if you can get a spot then it's not so bad. Knees to Chin was a pleasant addition to my wanderings given it solely served rice paper rolls which is a bit rare and they were doing it well. Great place to find something healthy and fresh for a reasonable price.

I loved eating springrolls here. Yes, they only serve springrolls, but they are huge and really fill you up. I got the two springroll special which I got with the noodle miso soup. Best part was that they brought out all of their sauces so that you can deep your spring rolls. The sauces are in a squeezy bottle so you can pour as much as you like. The food came out mega fast as well. Knees to chin is in a nice side of town that is a little less touristy than other parts of Belgium. I would recommend this restaurant.

Kinda like fresh salad rolls with multiple choices of sauces: coconut, peanut, sweet sauce etc. We went there around 12pm on Saturday, (no lunch menu on Saturdays), we ordered Peking duck roll, Prawns roll, beef roll, minced chicken roll (3.8 euros/piece), two bowls of rices (3 euros/bowl), 2 bottles of coco nut water (2 euros/bottle), that makes 12.6 euros per person - price is fine, ingredients are fresh, but we prefer a warm meal in winter. The shop is small, cozy and a bit crowded, waitress came to collect sauces and plates before we finishing drinking.

Knees to Chin provides a unique and modern twist on the traditional Vietnamese spring rolls. They have so many different options, it was hard to choose, but in the end, I got the caramelized tofu spring roll. It tasted fresh and light, a perfect snack. Inside, there were also avocado, apples, vermicelli, crispy onions, and some greens. The sauce it came with was a mixture of soy sauce and sesame oil which was slightly sweet and salty. It complemented the spring roll nicely. Knees to Chin is a little expensive at 3.9 euros per roll, so unfortunately, I can't have one everyday. Great choice for a light lunch or snack!

I feel very lucky to have such a nice place just around the corner. Good thing I'm not staying in Brussels too much lately, otherwise this would definitely be my everyday snack spot! Each roll has its own sauce that fits best with it but I personally like to try all the sauces and pick my favorite. They are healthy and not expensive at all. That said, if you're a big eater it can get quite expensive and everyone turns into a big eater here, it's so good you can't stop! Trust me, one roll will not be enough if you come for dinner or lunch; you'll likely pick a second, third, fourth and so on, until you're completely stuffed. They've kind of anticipated on this by proposing lunch specials. I strongly recommend the roll with tofu, rucola, avocado etc but my friends would even more strongly recommend the omelette coco one. Our opinions on the cake of the day where very divided but the conclusion was that you'd better prepare for something completely different from a normal cake. When walking by you can tell it's cozy inside from the damp on the window. The decoration with colored lamps, masks and plants gives it an oriental jungle-like feeling. The only thing I didn't like was that they weren't willing to leave the wasabi mayonaise out of the wakame seaweed roll for my vegan friend. The reason is that the rolls aren't made on the spot but beforehand in the kitchen downstairs. This makes the whole concept seem just a bit less "healthy, home made and fresh" even if I do believe that they really use fresh ingredients and don't prepare them far in advance. It would also be a big plus if they prepared them in front of you to see how they do it because I've tried several times at home but never managed to make them look so nice! Anyways, Knees To Chin proves us that a healthy snack can be DELICIOUS!

Great little concept in this part of town. Knee to chin mainly serves what I call summer rolls, essentially rice paper wrap with rice vermicelli, salads, with either prawns or pork, and sauce. But here they put a spin on it, and has come up with different varieties. My favourite has to be with avocado and egg. The prices are reasonable and it is quite popular. The venue is quite small, but very well decorated, similar to a trendy cafe, with a hint of Vietnamese influence. The service was good, friendly staff who described to us what's on the menu. Knee to chin, an unusual name, but one that sticks, provides a healthy and lighter alternative when eating out in Brussels, and is really only convenient if you are staying in this district. Its similar to a pop up shop, which serves fresh food, putting a unique twist on a classic dish.

We first tried to eat here on a Thursday evening, but when we arrived there was a 25-minute wait if you had not made a reservation. It was raining that day, so we opted to just find another place to eat. The following evening (Friday), we had a bit more time to prepare so we made a reservation with them at 6 p.m. The layout of the restaurant is somewhat unusual. You enter in a small space (which may have had a couple of tables at sidewalk-level, but I'm not sure). You then climb a half-flight of stairs up past a kitchen area to the main dining room. Here they had several tables along each wall extending towards the back, where they had an additional 2 - 3 tables. We sat in the back. If the weather is nice, they may have a couple of tables out on the sidewalk, but again I'm not certain of that. If anyone in your party is disabled, you may have a limited seating option. That wasn't an issue for us, though. Where we sat in the back, we got to watch them prepare the cocktails. The place was busy but our server kept checking on us. Our drinks came out fairly quickly. The entrees took a bit longer, but the timing was still reasonable. I got a noodle dish which was quite good. The portion was reasonable and I finished it. I think both the others in our party got soup-noodle combinations which they also liked. The place appeared to be a family-run business (potentially). The staff managed the crowd well. Though you need to plan ahead a bit, the meal here was worth it. If I were back in Brussels, I'd consider returning here for a meal.
