I hired Rudy Rodriguez to do some work on my house in Odessa Tx so I could get it ready to sell…read more My realtor said that with some updates, I could get more on the sale of my home. I gave Rudy Rodriguez the 50% down payment he requested. I trusted him to make the repairs as promised. To make a long story short...he made promises of getting the work done but he didn't. I requested he give me my money back because I could not continue waiting each day to see if would show up or not. I needed to sell my home and move to my new home. I pursued a claim against him in small claims court in Ector County. He failed to show up to the hearing. I received a favorable judgment against him but he did not remit the amount he owed me. I pursued the case further by filing a writ of execution. A deputy from the sheriff's department contacted him and he finally submitted the funds he owed me. This was such a difficult situation for me as I had trusted him with my home and money. The worse part is when he tried to make it sound like I was the one not being an adult. He makes claims that I did not allow him to finish the job but he was the one that wasn't showing up when he said he would. Basically, I could not trust his word because he did not keep his word. By the way, this occurred in 2018. I would also mention that he has changed the name of his business a few times so beware.
