We have annual passes and just renewed. And if you get an annual pass you can use this days admission against the pass price and use both this year and next!! We buy as Christmas presents! Our seven year old grandson said "we need to make this a tradition!" And they let you bring in food as long as not in cooler. And food is reasonable and get coupons w annual pass too. And refills are $1 on drinks and you can bring back the cups all season! We love the lazy river, the wave pool , and the new splash fountain. And there is an adults only section too. My family including my husband, 2 teens, and 1 year old toddler drove 1 hour and 15 minutes from Peoria on Saturday afternoon. My toddler does not do well in the car, and this is a long trip for her. We arrived atcat, park at about 5:40 pm, thinking we would have the evening to enjoy the park. The hours listed on Google are 10am-9 pm Monday- Sunday. Much to our dismay, when we arrived at the counter, the young lady working, stated, "The park closes in 20 minutes. " I stated, "Really? It says that you guys close at 9pm on- line." The owners need a reality check, over $150 for a family of 5 to go to a mediocre, run down water park. We have been to very nice, large water parks on vacations that are much less than that. This place can hardly be categorized as a water park. Hello so me and my family came here for a late birthday and we're a little disappointed. When we got there it was 9:30 which is when there website said it should be open. They In fact the water park doesn't open until ten. The carnival rides don't open until noon. When we got in we figured out the bathrooms are disgusting when you walk in there's little to no lights and it smells like pee Unsanitary conditions. There was pee all over the floor and the stalls are broken. Then when we got into the lazy river over half of the tubes were not Inflated enough and the lazy river was accustomed to leaves and bees and wasps. Its a pass for us. ** If you are used to Great America, Wisconsin Dells or even any other of IL's water parks...then this place is NOT for you. This really is more of a low key local joint, which I am fine with but I will say the reason I give this place 1 star is the following.... 1) Website does NOT tell you the waterpark closes at 6pm each day. The website just says open from 10am-11pm, which is just the action park. The action park... consists of a very old Ferris Wheel, one other carnival parachute like ride, road cars, a dates arcade room, mini-golf, and golf range. Thank god my kid like the Ferris Wheel and the boy operating it was nice enough to keep us up there for a long time. 2) Even if you get there at 5pm they do NOT discount admissions into the water park 3) The teenage employees do NOT care nor provide any sort of customer service. One girl directed me to the ticket booth saying "Its over there, the only building in blue, *smack her lip*" after I waited in line for 20 mins. We got there, after driving for 3 hrs at 4:30pm but had to wait in the wrong line for 20 mins, leaving only 1 hr to play in the water but still they charged us full price! 4) Changing rooms are disgusting Needless to say I was very disappointed. For being the only activity park in a smallish town it is fun. You only need about 3 hours to do everything at the water park. It is expensive for what you get. There is also a put put golf, driving range, an arcade and some carnival type rides. The mini golf is fun but a very small course. The kids will have a good time. read more

The staff was abundant & friendly! The lifeguards seem to be great with the children & looking out for them which is great because they're all young teens! BEWARE on the red white & blue American flag water slide , it will hurt everyone who goes down it, it's not safe, it's the highest & drops you straight down in 5 seconds both kids I took were hurt on it. From go carts to water slides there's a ton do to here and one could easily spend the whole day having fun. Be aware that one cover charge doesn't get you in to everything, though. While this water park is expensive, there are lots of discounted days (moms get in free on a certain day of the week, etc). I would look at their website and look for coupons. read more

This is hard to review after going to Holiday World. The two are by no means comparable. That being said, I am reviewing KAP independently. It is much smaller with fewer slides and such but it was still a fun place to go none the less. The one draw back for me is only one of the slides uses tubes. Towards the end of certain slides I could feel it on my backside and back bones. The wave pool was OK and over crowded. Not as bad as the one on You Tube of Tokyo but still crowded. I went on a very hot Saturday afternoon so that is understandable. Now to the new blue slide. What is up with that crazy slide? Someone is going to get hurt. My husband and I stood at the end of this slide watching people land for a good half an hour. It was so entertaining. Kids and smaller people do fine on it but you get someone with a little height or weight and it's hilarious. Seriously, people are slammed in to a small landing area that shoots water up the butt and rips suits off. Only the brave should try that slide. It takes less then 4 seconds to come down this slide. Think about it. All in all they do not try to rip you off with the food prices and it was an enjoyable afternoon. I would go back since it's so close to home. read more

A distinct reminder of a movie The Way Way Back... It is an old route 66 fun park with go carts, 36 holes of mini golf, game room, and several fun but outdated rides. Okay so yes I said out dated rides but hey at 29 years old I still like to get down with the go carts and mini gold. You really can't beat the prices either. The reason why I gave it a 3 star rating is because the mini golf course is definitely outdated and in need of repair, but overall it was a good time and I definitely would go back. This would be a great place to take your small kids when you need something to do in Springfield.. Great family environment. Iforgot to mention the water park which I did not go to. The plus side to Knight's Action Park is that it is a full sized water park in the middle of central Illinois. The down side is that it is a little run down and expensive. The water park has a large lazy river, a large wave pool, a toddler area, and several water slides. The action park is really just a few carnival rides. There are also go carts, a driving range, and mini-golf (For extra). Everything in the park looks old. Even pulling in to the parking lot, the majority is gravel or grass. I would recommend changing before arriving at the park, because there are no privacy stalls to change in, and the changing room itself is very small. Almost everything in the park looks old. Also, the cost is over $30 per person, which when you think about what you can get at larger parks, seems very high for the little they have here. We would go again, but only with a generous coupon. read more

I had a great time here, I hit the batting cages and the go-kart track. The cages are the same wherever you go, but it's always fun. You can't knock that. The mini-golf course seems a little bland but it's still a fun enough place to hang out. By far the go-karts are fun, we were there and did things that were definitely against the rules but it was okay, we didn't hurt anyone and the guys working there even got a little into it. The water park is the best draw, if you're ever there when it's open in season it's worth a visit for sure. My favorite is the slide that's basically just a huge swoop, makes me think that I'll end up flying over somehow. read more

My family and I had a good time yesterday until an employee was so rude to us. We where going around the lazy river when the most rudest employee I've ever encountered started shaking her head and waving her finger at us. She told us after we went around once we had to get off and stand in line again. Well there was no one else waiting so I asked if we could just keep going. Well her response with her head and finger still shaking was "nope and if you don't like it you can leave". So at this point we said fine she just rude and we will talk to the manager. So we got off and came around to the start again. At this point I lost it laughing so hard cause she waved a group of people through. We asked her how do they get waved through and we had to get off and go around to wait in a line that doesn't exist? Now she response by saying no one was waiting. I said that was false cause you saw us coming around the rock to the beginning and then you turned away to wave that group on. She once again said " if we don't follow the rules she will kick us out of here." I said "first of all we just asked a question the you got rude then you didn't follow the rules by waving people on." We told her we where going to report her and she told us her name was Jordan. I finally found the lifeguard manager and let her know and she said"well she has just had a bad day and I'm gonna send her home." That didn't happen we saw her still there bout a hour later yelling this time at another group. We spent at least $400 to get in, eat and drink, and yelled at by a 16 year old girl. Yesterday my family visited this place for the first time with other family whom have been here before, and I must say .. this place is cool and amazing! The staff was very nice , helpful and informative on all the rules to us newbies lol . We totally enjoyed ourselves . I was a little taken back by prices of food and drinks ... Water was 3$ but it was worth it for this amazing experience we enjoyed at your park . You have several young ladies ( I wish I had gotten their names ) that are terrific and have great attitudes with the people and all the kids ! I can imagine how hard it is to keep this pleasant demeanor with some people whom get ugly and are difficult. It's not easy working with the public or spoiled children. I commend you on your daily tasks of being able to handle all of this with such great poise, respect, and loveliness! Congratulations on handling it . The adult pool, which should be relaxing and an enticement for adults who pay for children to enter, is disgusting. Cracked, peeling paint, and has been that way for at least 4 years. This place was a real treat for the kids. They offer children and senior discounts; plus, it is cheaper if you order ahead online. When you first enter, there is an arcade, and the golf club rentals for mini golf and to just hit some golf balls. There's a batting cage and go-karts. The race track was pretty simple and fun. There is a kid's play area and two working rides. Now, the all access pass gives you unlimited rides, playground, 1 go kart ride or 1 bucket of golf balls, and the water park. Even though they are basically together, the water park tickets are exclusively just for water park activities. Back to the rides, one is a Ferris wheel and the other is the Paratrooper that spins you round-and-round. The kids loved them both. When we entered the water park, there is a grill, gift shop, and Dippin Dots stand. Locker rentals are a bit steep at $10; if you return your key by 6 pm, you get $5 back. Changing area is kind of dirty and so is the toilet area. The lazy river was fun and so was the wave pool. The slides looked really fun, and there was about 3-4 but the kids didn't want to get on. They did enjoy playing in the pool area. Lots of places to lie down at. They also had fun on the paddle boats. Lifeguards were angry teenagers. Would definitely return here for the water park. read more

This a hometown water park in the middle of a cornfield. What's not to love about that?? The lazy river might have a few band-aids floatin' around, but there's nothing like falling asleep on a flotation device in 97 degree heat. The wave pool is a delight, and the family-friendly music blasting from the static-y speakers makes you feel like you've jumped into a forgotten era. If you leave your cell phone in your bag (which will definitely be stolen unless you rent a locker) you can almost remember a time when kids played outside while their parents drank vodka lemonades in their front yards. I suggest bringing a jug of vodka lemonade to this park because there are a lot of children around and the buzz helps drown out their gleeful, grating laughs. The slides on the mountain are all thrilling, and I love plowing down middleschoolers who don't go nearly as quickly as I do (being a full sized adult). The terror on their face as you round a corner at top speed is just priceless. Do not go on the tallest slide on the three slide tower, however. I refer to this as "the blue slide of pain and death". The seams along the inside are not lined up properly and you will inevitably lose a finger or toenail in the process. The bottom water well of this slide is always red with blood. The blood of out-of-towners who don't know any better. Heed my advice: beware the blue slide of pain and death. However, the dippin' dots are ON POINT. read more

So to be completely honest all the bad reviews are true---the bathrooms here are disgusting & do not appear to have been cleaned once all summer, many of the attractions appear run down, the pools have a great deal of debris floating in them & so on. Even with all the negatives my family had the best time here. My kids are still talking about it & cannot wait for the opportunity to return & as long as I did my best not to think about what might be floating alongside me in the pool I can truly say that I had a great time too. Some positives-although the staff is young, they were friendly, polite, & genuinely seemed to care about what they were doing. Even in the shallowest of pools a lifeguard was walking back & forth scanning the area continuously. The food was quite delicious and surprisingly affordable. We had a whole pizza delivered (!) (they will deliver throughout the park) & it was really good as far as amusement park food goes & the price was not out of line in the slightest. There was ample seating throughout the waterpark & lots of shaded areas to take a rest from the sun. Heads up that although you can rent a locker for only 50 cents, you will need to deposit an additional 50 cents each and every time you open your locker. I would say that the waterpark seems terribly overpriced in comparison to similar waterparks but I located a coupon code online that saved us $5 per person. Negatives aside this was a truly fun day & with a few updates & some pretty basic cleaning this could be an even better spot. read more
