Turns out the real reason they wanted to do this was so that they could avoid cleaning the home when it needed cleaning, as crazy as that sounds. I discovered that they had been doing this when a billing date didn't line up with the previous check out. They had left the home dirty for a WEEK, because they waited to clean it until a few hours before the next guest and there was no booking that week. Needless to say, this was a DISASTER waiting to happen - if a guest had booked a same-day check in on any day that week, they would have showed up to a dirty home. Incredibly, when I contacted Tampa Bay Spotless and (very politely) told them that the home needed to be cleaned on check out days to avoid this disastrous situation, they INSTANTLY responded "other Airbnb owners trained us to do it this way. We don't want to work with you" No even a single bit of discussion just an instant "You don't like your home being left dirty for a week at a time as a ticking time-bomb?
