Just wanted to update this review - after numerous phone calls - my Mother's gravesite was cleaned up yesterday. I spoke with both Peter and Michelle but neither one did what they had told me they would and that was to reach out to me when everything was done. I took a ride out to the cemetery to check on it myself last evening. I reached out to Peter today. I am grateful that after 10 months it is finally taken care of, but I'm very sad that it took that long and that other people are going through the same thing. I'm hoping that things get rectified. (I was told that this normally should not have taken longer than two weeks at the time of year she was buried.). Thank you. read more

The WORST service I have ever experienced. I have been calling there for 6 hours. FIVE different phone numbers listed for them. Felicia always says she will call back, but I can't confirm that she really works there. I called corporate, and they had the same experience. No answer. Unfortunately I live 2,000 miles from there so I can't easily go talk to them. Question to the public: What do you do with a dead body when the cemetery refuses to do their job??? Our experience with Heath at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, was very pleasant under our circumstance. I must say, he was extremely caring with my family and especially my Mom. Heath's knowledge of what Knollwood offers was very helpful in our decision making. Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Manitowoc was such a mess for many years. Heath has brought it back to such a pleasant and caring Memorial Garden. I would advise people to give it some serious consideration in planning your final resting place. read more

Recently went to Knollwood memorial park to place flowers on the grave sites. I could not put flowers on one in particular because the retainer was stuck. Call them up on memorial day weekend and the receptionist said they'll get to it as soon as possible, probably Tuesday. Got a call a few hours later and someone had taken care of it so we could place our flowers. Great service! read more

This place is run so poorly. Records are not kept properly so badly that they tell you that your family is not there even though you know they are because you have been there several times over the years. You have to give them directions to your family before they believe it. Then they ask you for the records they are suppose to keep. Once they know that you don't know where those records are, they try to charge you for a plot that you've already paid for. They blame it on a previous manager's lack of record keeping but aren't willing to correct their errors, not even for a veteran. They try to get you to pay again. They don't care if you can't afford it or that you're stressed out already caring for your loved ones with Alzheimer's. They take advantage of people who are already dealing with a lot. Just awful and insensitive! The woman who took over has zero empathy, an asset that is desperately needed at a memorial site. Worst experience ever! read more

Long story short, I was quoted one price by a now retired counselor and now with the newly hired counselor, the "boss" would not honor the price of the previous counselor. Apparently, the customer is responsible for the mistakes of their work force, even at just a $73 difference. Tread lightly when it comes to doing business at Knollwood because even having the price in writing didn't make a difference in this case!! read more
