They host regular events and I attended an exciting talk about a photographer's journey. There's something special about people who like books and you feel instantly welcome in this tiny place, sharing tables with people who won't be strangers by the end of the evening. And then others that are more unique, like cereal with cereal milk ice cream. There is even coffee offered with a certain cereal milk. They also have non-cow milk offerings. I ordered a mix of the Reese's and cookie dough "special" bowls with almond milk. Took me right back to my 90s childhood. Literally the decor alone is enough to stop in - 90s cartoons on those old TVs that were super tiny; the menu came in magazine type books - my cover was Sabrina the teenage witch and my friends was Backstreet Boys. Even the seating - there were mainly normal chairs, but 2 tables even had the old beds kids used to have. Just go! It'll be an experience, even if it is just a bowl of cereal. I have always been a hello kitty fan and love everything about her. This cute pastel cafe was amazing! I arrived at 4 pm on a Wednesday for my 4:30 pm exhibit entry time. This was the perfect amount of time to que for the cafe and enjoy my treats. There was "community" seating where people would sit at the same long table. It was a small space and hot as well as cramped. Upon entry I was told there was a 20 minute maximum time inside because of the size. This is understandable but something I had not encountered before. The staff was really lovely and helpful in my purchase of a Hello Kitty London bag and my coffee and cake. The reason I am giving this 4 stars is because of the quality of the food. It was not bad by any means. But it was just "ok." I don't think I finished either of the items I purchased. But you know what? It doesn't matter! This place is all about the aesthetic and photos. I simply cannot give it a 5 because there is so much good food including pastries in London and I think they could have done better. Also side note: I was up all night after drinking the coffee lol!
