OK that's fine but then I just found out that all the doctors that work at this weirton medical emergency center. The doctors don't actually work for WVU or Weirton medical they work for a company called Team Health and they can charge you whatever they want because they are a separate company and none of the doctors that work in that emergency room work for that hospital directly. WVU doesn't notify you or tell you any of that when going to the emergency room and on the back of the WVU bills they don't notify you that a separate company called Greenbriar will contact to collect money... so you can pay for the doctor that you saw that night... that's right you have to pay for your doctor separately or PA in the emergency room and the $1100 was for the closet and the Band-Aid!!! The medical system in the pharmaceutical system is absolutely corrupt!!

I was unable to breath and had passed out 3 separate times in the waiting room, also being a type 1 diabetic--completely dehydrated from nausea and vomiting. They refused to send anyone out to help or even check in with me. I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours until they told me I had to wait another couple of hours because of how busy they were. As someone actively passing out and vomiting all through the waiting room, I figured they would at least send a nurse or someone to check I was okay and not dying on the floor. I was never serviced and had to actually call an ambulance to pick me up from one hospital and take me to Heritage Valley Beaver. Not a single issue there.

After I told them what was what, they still played around to the point that I left, 20 minutes plus 40 minutes is an hour, waited an hour, the last 24 minutes no one at the check in desk and no one in the triage, the check in desk should be maned 24 hours a day not every 20 to 25 minutes for 5 minutes and the triage nurse should be triaging not drawing blood in the triage area, not checking sugar levels, the place could be ran much, much better. Its alot of waiting but the esquads just keep coming and cutting in front of you for smaller problems than what you have. 2 people came in saw the amount of people and left saying they would just call the squad and get in front of the line. Very, Very insufficient. everyones doing something but their job for the day.

I had not been on anything for a year. the head nurse was a total bitch and the rest of the staff that I saw were treating me as if I was a drug addict! I told my pain Dr and she was very upset for me!!!!! I have never went back! they suck!!!!! it says you have the right to be treated for pain but clearly they do not follow it with sincerity!!!!

My son went up and notified the nurse his mother was on the floor in pain. they told him they thought I left And then she said she was sorry that there was 2 people with cardiac arrest. I understand that they have priority, but they should have been taken to ICU or something, the whole ER shut down and there was only about 6 people waiting in the waiting room. they were way understaffed and the triage nurse had to work in the back room , poor management . I ended up leaving and going to Weirton medical where I was taken in right away. i Can only imagine what would happen if there was some emergency or accident where a group of people got hurt, they are not staffed equipped at Trinity west to take care of it.

Mary in the office took care of assuring that my insurance would pay for the sessions. I didn't even have to make a call. Dr Runkel did an assessment of my needs. He asked just the right questions to elicit a meaningful response. I had 18 sessions. Kathy who conducted the aqua therapy sessions was so kind . I was not at all embarrassed being in my swimsuit.She encouraged me to add reps and documented my progress. She stayed with me for the entire hour sessions. Dr. Runkel checked in on my progress periodically and sent progress reports to my neurologist . I have improved my posture and strength. Having been given a home regimen, I plan to work on my own to continue my recovery. Thank you Rehab Plus. I highly recommend you to anyone who needs aqua therapy.
